Monday|| Do the work of an evangelist

Mark 5:18-20 KJV‬ And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him. [19] Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. [20] And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel. (Ref Mark 5:1-20)

One of the first steps the Lord wants us to take after tasting and seeing the goodness of the Lord is to testify. Our Lord Jesus Christ wants us to testify of His goodness. He wants us to go to friends and family to testify of our new found faith.

The text you read above is the story of a young man who was liberated from the affliction of demons. He was freed from demonic possession and his mind was liberated. I decree that anything trying to mess up your mind is rebuked now! In the name of Jesus Christ! Receive peace and sanity in Jesus’ name!

After, he was healed; he wanted to follow our Lord Jesus but the Lord rather instructed him to go and share his testimony. To testify is the key way to perpetuate your miracle. You must learn to testify!

Do the work of an evangelist

The second steps towards fulfilling the great commission. Make up your mind to do the work of an evangelist.

Apostle Paul teaches in 2 Timothy 4:5 we must do the work of an evangelist; this is because in the last days men will not endure sound doctrine. Most churches that teach and exhort the truth may become empty or half full, if we don’t do the work of an evangelist.

We must also pray that God will send labourers into the vineyard. We must be willing to go and then pray that God will send labourers into the field. That is why I lead out our people in the HighCity Church weekly to share tracts and preach the gospel. We must be ready to do more. (See Luke 10:1-4)

  1. I pray that the Father would send men into the mission field. We call forth labourers into the field and to reach more souls.
  2. May the Lord prepare us with a fresh anointing to do the work of an evangelist! Receive grace to do more for the kingdom!
  3. May more and more of us put our hands to the plough and labour more and more!

Go labour on, spend and be spent. It is the way the Master went; you can do no less! Keep labouring!

Stay blessed!
