Let Christ be Formed in You

When Christ is formed in you, you have the light that enlightens every man who comes into the world and you become the light of the world. This is why many have become fools; they have rejected Christ who is the wisdom and the power of God.Originally published at highcity.org

I want to speak to you today about the need to have Christ formed in you.

[Galatians 4:19‭-‬20 KJV] “My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you, I desire to be present with you now, and to change my voice; for I stand in doubt of you”.

It is important to understand that there are two worlds; This present world and the world to come.

Now you need Christ to be formed in you for two reasons;

  1. To give you a competitive advantage to gathering enough resources in this present world to meet needs and
  2. To taste of the power of the world to come before we enter in there.

You must understand that Christ is the wisdom and the power of God that empowers all those who receive Him, even those who believe on His name to become the sons of God. Christ is that wisdom and power of God that empowers us and gives us a competitive advantage in competing for the scarce resources to meet the insatiable needs of man.

We all know that man has insatiable needs and we are all competing for the scarce resources to meet those needs. Everyman on the face of the earth is running after these scarce resources to meet their needs. Having Christ formed in you does not only give you a competitive advantage in life but also you get to taste of the powers of the world to come (See Hebrews 6:4-6).

Any man who disobeys Christ is not wise. We don’t just come to church for coming sake. We come to pray, to worship, to hear, to do, and to give towards the building of the kingdom. That is why the Bible says that it is the doer of the word that is blessed and not the hearer.

When Christ is formed in you, you have the light that enlightens every man who comes into the world and you become the light of the world. This is why many have become fools; they have rejected Christ who is the wisdom and the power of God. Many have become fools and losers because they have rejected the word of God. Our greatest advantage in life comes through Christ in us.

The Bible says that “Christ in anyone of us is the hope of glory.” Without Christ in you, there is no hope of glory. You will end up in shame if you don’t allow Christ to be formed in you. Only Christ in you is the hope of ever walking in the corridors of glory.

How then can Christ be formed in you?

1. Through Baptisms:

We become one with Christ through baptisms; both water and Holy Spirit baptisms. Through baptism, we become one spirit with Christ. The Bible says that “he that has not the spirit of Christ is none of His.”

2. Through the Communion:

The bread and the cup we bless is our connection to the eternal life of God. John 6:53-58 teaches that he that eats the flesh of Christ and drinks the blood dwells in Christ and Christ dwells in him. The communion is an important part of having Christ formed in you. Through the Lord’s table, we become one spirit with the Lord.

3. Through the Word:

Christ is the Word that was with the Father from the beginning, hence, those who have the word have Christ in them. When you receive the word, you are cleansed. The word washes and makes you clean.

4. Through prayer and quiet times:

The fellowship of the Spirit connects us to Him. As we spend time in His presence, we are changed into His image. We are changed into the same glory as we behold.

5. Through the church

The final point of connection is the church. The church is the body of Christ, so anybody connected to the church is connected to the body. Through our connection to the church, we are connected to the body of Christ.

I will encourage you to be connected to Christ, and not just connected but also allow Him to be formed in you; this is your only hope of glory. I encourage you to pray that Christ will be formed in you.

Be blessed, I love you!

6 Things that Fight the Word

Every word that comes out of the mouth of the Lord to you has a purpose, and it must fulfil that purpose. Every word that comes out of the mouth of the Lord to you has a purpose, and it must fulfil that purpose. Often, many of us are always seeking a new word, but one word from God can last you a lifetime.

Text

[Mark 4:13-20 KJV] “And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables? [14] The sower soweth the word. [15] And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. [16] And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; [17] And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended. [18] And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, [19] And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. [20] And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred”.

Discussion

God sent Joseph ahead to Egypt to preserve Israel, and that was his destiny. Moses was born to be a judge and deliverer of Israel; that was his destiny.

When God called us, He called us for a purpose. He called us to serve that purpose. When He said, “Separate unto Me Barnabas and Paul … “, they remained separated. Whether in nakedness, peril, poverty, rejection, emptiness or fullness, they remained faithful and separated.

As we hear the word of God daily, we make decisions and trust God to fulfill His good word towards us; but remember, every decision you make based on the word will be tried by many things. It will be tried by devils, trials, personal cravings, and time and truth. You will enjoy the fruits of your decision if you are able to overcome to the end. Half hearted effort does not get results. You must carry out your decision to the end. If you decide to build a tower, you must finish it; if you decide to go to war, you must finish the war. You must finish what you started. If you decide to get your healing, chase it until it is delivered. Whatever decision you made based on the word, push and press until it is fulfilled.

What word has God spoken to you? What calling is on your life? What word have you received from God? Well, there are some six things that are likely to fight the word from fulfilling. These things will try to stop you from walking in the word.

1. Misunderstanding the word

Many of us are unable to have faith and believe the word that comes to us because we misunderstand it. The Bible tells us that the birds stole the word because the people did not understand the word.

In the book of Acts, we read that Israel missed God for 40 years because they misunderstood what He was doing in Moses. Many of the times we miss God because you don’t understand the word. Understanding leads to faith and deeper conviction.

[Acts 7:22‭-‬25 KJV] “And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds. [23] And when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel. [24] And seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended him, and avenged him that was oppressed, and smote the Egyptian: [25] For he supposed his brethren would have understood how that God by his hand would deliver them: but they understood not”.

Israel missed God because they did not understand His dealing. I pray that none will miss his time. I pray for the spirit of understanding to come upon us massively in the name of Jesus Christ.

2. Lack of roots and moisture:

The second thing that fights fruits is lack of roots. Many of us are too superficial in our approach and pursuit of God and the things of God. You will bear fruits on the word when you learn to spend time as an addicted follower of God and go deeper with truth. You must keep hearing the same truth and watering it again and again to get fruits that remain.

Whether you expect it or not, persecution and affliction will arise because of the word. The word will try you and you must overcome to the end. The only way to press through trying and difficult times is gaining deeper roots and greater moisture.

3. Lust:

Nothing chokes the word more than the lust for other things. You cannot run with your word when you have fallen in love with other things. Any man who develops a strong cravings for others things cannot bear fruits according to the word. We must love God and the word with all of our hearts.

You can bear fruits by the word when you are content with what the word promises. If you love cars more than the eternal life God promised, you can’t run. You must delight yourself in the word and you will be able to run with it.

4. Anxiety and cares of life:

It is important to remember that the nation’s neither seek God nor the kingdom because of cares and anxiety. They are running after things and have no time to seek God nor His kingdom.

You will lose drive and passion when you begin to ask questions like, how shall I get this or how shall I get that. Anxiety and cares will choke your budding faith and make it barren. We must all learn to trust that God is able to care for us. We must trust that God will never leave nor forsake us. Remember to run with zeal.

5. Pride of life:

Sometimes, we want to feel cool and be as everyone else, forgetting that we are called with a unique calling. Many of us want to be loved, accepted and celebrated, and sometimes, what is popular may not be true.

We must strive to be meek and humble. You should not think too highly of yourself. We must think soberly and down to earth.

6. Impatience and intellectual dishonesty:

It is important to understand that God works in His own timetable and not on ours. Any man who can bear fruits must be patient and honest. Impatience is a killer. The Bible tells us to “be followers of those who through faith and patience inherit the promise”.

I pray for you that God will help you to bear fruits on the word! May the Lord help you to win over these beasts!

Stay blessed, I love you;

Demolishing Evil Altars

Most evil altars define the way of life of people. Your attempt to change the status quo will be faced with opposition; very stiff opposition.Originally published at highcity.org

[1 Kings 13:1-10 KJV] “And, behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of the Lord unto Beth-el: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense. [2] And he cried against the altar in the word of the Lord , and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the Lord ; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men’s bones shall be burnt upon thee. [3] And he gave a sign the same day, saying, This is the sign which the Lord hath spoken; Behold, the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon it shall be poured out. [4] And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, which had cried against the altar in Beth-el, that he put forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him. [5] The altar also was rent, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of the Lord . [6] And the king answered and said unto the man of God, Intreat now the face of the Lord thy God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again. And the man of God besought the Lord , and the king’s hand was restored him again, and became as it was before. [7] And the king said unto the man of God, Come home with me, and refresh thyself, and I will give thee a reward. [8] And the man of God said unto the king, If thou wilt give me half thine house, I will not go in with thee, neither will I eat bread nor drink water in this place: [9] For so was it charged me by the word of the Lord , saying, Eat no bread, nor drink water, nor turn again by the same way that thou camest. [10] So he went another way, and returned not by the way that he came to Beth-el”.

I believe with all of my heart that we have come in to this year to serve the Lord with passion and wholeheartedly. I trust that we came to this year to;

Believe on the messengers of God, Worship in Spirit and in truth, Come before the Lord with singing to all appointed meetings, Go into the nations and preach the gospel, and Reachout to others.

I believe that we have agreed as one to work hard to advance the kingdom. I believe that this year must turn out good. I believe that the Lord shall help us do it.

But if we can serve the Lord with passion and wholeheartedly, then we must demolish all evil altars.

An altar is a place of sacrifice. This is a place where covenants are strengthened and fortified for discharge.

The text we read teach us how to demolish evil altars;

1. Speak against all evil altars by the Word of the Lord:

Speak the Word against the altar. Don’t endorse evil, use the Word on your tongue against every budding evil. If you see people around you doing evil and making evil sacrifices, don’t keep quiet, speak the truth against it. People may not like you but you will be setting the stage for revival.

2. Trust the Lord to defend you as you obey Him:

Don’t fear what man will do against you. Rather, pray for those who suffer the judgment of God, if they repent. Vengeance is the Lord’s. The Lord will be there to defend His Word. No man can harm you. The Lord will be your defense.

Be open to all possibilities. Trust the Lord with the safety of your soul and life. The king attempted to smite the man of God, but God quickly came his defense. So just obey God and do what you have been asked to do. I commission you by the grace of God on my life to demolish every evil altar.

3. Have no fellowship with unbelievers:

You cannot break down by prayer, what you are building up by your action. Neither can you build by prayer what you are demolishing with your attitudes. You can only deal with evil altars when you denounce the unfruitful works of darkness. God told the young prophet not to have fellowship with anybody in Bethel, but he did not listen. Please take note that ‘anybody’ means ‘anybody’.

4. Beware of old prophets:

Beware of old prophets, beware of deception. Hold fast to your conviction, don’t compromise for any mortal man. There are people who would not mind destroying you even when they know what you are doing is good and know that you are of God. There was an old prophet in Bethel who deceived the young minister from Judah. He led him to disobey God and after he was killed by a lion, he brought back his bones, buried him and requested that when he dies, they should bury him by the young prophet’s bones.

May you have wisdom and convictions that are strong! You cannot demolish evil altars except you are a person of strong convictions. Most evil altars define the way of life of people. Your attempt to change the status quo will be faced with opposition; very stiff opposition. Be strong. (See 1 Kings 13:11‭-‬32)

We speak against every evil altar! We command them to split and spill ashes now! May the Judgement of God be against every evil altar and every priest who serves on them. There are people who want to destroy you for no reason, may the Lord deliver you! Be blessed.

I love you;

Ask for the Highlands

We are not taking the easy way out; we are going for the word. We want to see the Scriptures fulfilled in our lives. Originally published at highcity.org

Day 4 of 21 days of breaking Limits:

Joshua 14:4-15 KJV] “For the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim: therefore they gave no part unto the Levites in the land, save cities to dwell in , with their suburbs for their cattle and for their substance. [5] As the Lord commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did, and they divided the land. [6] Then the children of Judah came unto Joshua in Gilgal: and Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite said unto him, Thou knowest the thing that the Lord said unto Moses the man of God concerning me and thee in Kadesh-barnea. [7] Forty years old was I when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me from Kadesh-barnea to espy out the land; and I brought him word again as it was in mine heart. [8] Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed the Lord my God. [9] And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children’s for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the Lord my God. [10] And now, behold, the Lord hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the Lord spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old. [11] As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in. [12] Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the Lord spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the Lord will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the Lord said. [13] And Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh Hebron for an inheritance. [14] Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite unto this day, because that he wholly followed the Lord God of Israel. [15] And the name of Hebron before was Kirjath-arba; which Arba was a great man among the Anakims. And the land had rest from war”.

This is the day and the time. Like Caleb, we will leave no promise in limbo. This is the time to claim the fulfilment of every promise and word that we have received from the Lord. Every single word that has been declared over our lives must be fulfilled in its season. Caleb received the word when he was 40 years, and we see him fighting for the promise to be fulfilled even after 40 years; he fought to establish the promise when he was 80 years old.

I don’t know what God has declared to you, but it is time for God to fulfil His word in your life. We are believing God for His word concerning us to be fulfilled. On this day of our waiting on God, we want to recount all the promises and word that we have received from the Lord and to demand its fulfilment. Just as Caleb demanded the fulfilment of the good word of the Lord, we also want to spend today praying for the fulfilment of the word.

We are not taking the easy way out; we are going for the word. We want to see the Scriptures fulfilled in our lives. When Daniel read about the deliverance of Israel in the book of Jeremiah, he began to fast and pray.

This is our time to fast and pray and demand the fulfilment of the word of God. This is the time; we can do as Daniel did and change the cause of history.

[Daniel 9:1-9 KJV] “In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans; [2] In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. [3] And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes: [4] And I prayed unto the Lord my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments; [5] We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments: [6] Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. [7] O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee. [8] O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee. [9] To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;”

Daniel fasted and prayed and things began to change. As we fast and pray, guided by Mark 4, we understand by the parable of the sower to know what to do.

We understand that there cannot be fruits without a seed. We therefore need a seed bearing sower in our lives; hence let’s pray the following prayers:

#1.

Dear God, send me Apollos (prophets and ministers) who will water the truth that my pastor has planted in my life. Send me, your sowers and gardeners. Father, sow and water your word in my life.

#2.

Help us to understand and mix the word with faith for maximum profit.

[Hebrews 4:1-2 KJV] “Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. [2] For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it”.

I declare that no bird can steal the word from my life. The seed of God’s word in my life is secured and protected. I rebuke any bird or demonic agent assigned against my life because of the word, in the name of Jesus Christ!

#3.

Holy Spirit, let Your word to gain roots in me. Let me be watered and moistened for deeper roots. I don’t want to wither and dry up. Holy Spirit water this word in my life. Oh Lord, let your rains fall! Send us rain and let our ground be ready to yield.

#4.

I break up my fallow ground, I deal with thorns in my heart; The pride of life, anxiety, lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, lust for other things, and cares of life. Father, remove pride, lust, anxiety, and cares, far from me because I know that you will not despise a broken spirit and a contrite heart.

#5.

Father, give me an honest and a good heart to nurture any word I receive. Give me strength and courage. Give me the Spirit of love and of power and of a sound mind. Thank you Lord!

#6.

Dear Lord, I ask that you shall remover from my life that things that prevent my truthfulness! May you supply all that pertains to life and godliness. I give you full control as the gardener, dig and dung around me.

#7.

Rain upon us! Let the Spirit be poured from on high. As we wait on you oh Lord, let Your rain fall! Help your children now!

#8.

Dear Lord, watch over Your word to perform! Hasten the manifestation of Your word in its time! Let our bones hear the sound of rain again! Watch over your word to perform!

I speak the manifestation of the word of God over your life! I pray that God will bless what you hear from His word weekly! Let the word of God be manifested one more time!

Be blessed; I love you!

There is a Need to Hear by the Hearing of Faith

It is evident and clear that those who listen by faith and count God faithful, are blessed with faithful Abraham.Originally published at highcity.org

I want to encourage you to hear by the hearing of faith.

[Galatians 3:1‭-‬9 KJV] “O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain. He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham”.

To hear by the hearing of faith is to listen through the filters of the word of God.

When the elders that Moses sent to spy out the land of Canaan returned with the report that the land was eating up its inhabitants, Israel should have understood that the Lord had indeed gone ahead of them like a hornet to drive out the people just as He promised. Why, because the Lord had promised them that.

When you begin to hear and listen by the hearing of faith, three things will happen;

  1. The Lord will minister the Spirit to us
  2. The Lord will work miracles among us, and
  3. The Lord will count us as righteous. we will be counted as righteous. It will be counted unto us as righteousness.

This is the reason why we must hear by the hearing of faith, and by hearing by the word of God. The word of God will shape us and give us control.

How do you hear and listen by the hearing of faith?

  1. Remember that everything does not follow a law.
  2. Be sure that what you are hearing is so written in the Bible
  3. Interpret everything you hear in the light of the word
  4. Count God faithful, able, and present to do as He has said.

There is nothing we can do as a church except to listen by the hearing of faith. It is foolishness to have began in the spirit and now to decide to continue in the flesh, walking by sight and logic. It is evident and clear that those who listen by faith and count God faithful, are blessed with faithful Abraham.

I pray for you that as the ministry of faith and the word comes to us, there shall be the ministry of;

  1. Wisdom
  2. Deliverance
  3. The anointing as in the house of Cornelius (See Acts 10:44-46)
  4. Miracles
  5. Righteousness

This means that as we hear the word of faith we would become wiser, safe from witchcraft, spiritual, blessed, and righteous! Amen!

Stay blessed, I love you!

Finding Faith in Adversity

You must be able to build faith even in and from a stormOriginally published at highcity.org

Finding Faith in Adversity

[Proverbs 18:14 KJV] “The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?”

Apart from God, there is only one person who will never leave you nor forsake you; that is you – your spirit. The Bible says the spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; indeed, there is no disability that disables a man more than a wounded spirit.

Faith is for all days and all weather. You must be able to build faith even in and from a storm. Your faith must not just stand the test of time but you must withstand in all situations.

To build faith that can sustain your emotions;

1. Becareful where you put your faith:

All other grounds are not safe. They are unreal. Your faith must be in God and in His word. Hope defered makes the heart sick; becareful where you put your hope. Most of the grounds is sinking sand; all other grounds aside Christ is sinking sand.

[Proverbs 13:12 KJV] “Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life”.

2. Build up yourself on your most holy faith:

Problems come everyday but you can build yourself on your most holy faith. Build up yourself on your most holy faith. Build on nothing but your most sacred philosophies.

[Jude 1:20‭-‬21 KJV] “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life”.

[Proverbs 24:10 KJV] “If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small”.

3. Connect with people whose countenance sharpens yours:

Some people speak and just speak. Their words suck energy from your sail, you deserve better than that. This is the time to connect with people who inspire faith.

[Proverbs 27:17‭-‬19 KJV] “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. Whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof: so he that waiteth on his master shall be honoured. As in water face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man”.

You will not fail! You will win! Your faith will stand the test of time! You will face the storm and come out victorious.

Stay blessed; I love you!

Understanding how Prophecy Works

The prophetic word is meant to direct your warfare. Originally published at highcity.org

[1 Timothy 1:18‭-‬20 KJV] “This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare; Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck: Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme”.

Many people receive prophecies but only a few walk into the manifestation of those words that are spoken over their lives. The simple reason being that many of us do not understand what prophecies are meant for.

Prophecies according to my understanding of Scripture are inspired speaking that are meant to inspire, edify, comfort, and to give instructions for direction.

Prophecies are given in languages and in dictions that are easily understood. Prophecies must not be difficult to understand.

Many of us however have not benefited much from this great gift because we lack an understanding into its peculiar workings and dynamics. The prophetic word is meant to direct your warfare. One of the major purposes of prophecy is to direct our warfare. In 1 Corinthians 14, we learn that if a trumpet sounds an uncertain sound, no man will prepare for war.

[1 Corinthians 14:8 KJV] “For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?”

The Scriptures teaches clearly that;

We must by the prophecies that are gone before us war a good warfare:

If God spoke to you that you shall be king, then it is time to war until you become a king. You must war a good warfare according to the prophecy! This is the time to arise and war a good warfare. You cannot leave life to chance. You must war and fight for the fulfillment of the prophecy.

Whilst you war however, you must hold on to faith and a good conscience:

This is because if you throw these things away, you will make a shipwreck of your life. If you throw away faith and good conscience, you will blaspheme. Many people have thrown away faith and good conscience and have made a shipwreck of their lives.

I believe with all my heart that you can make it and not fail if you can war a good warfare. You must have a military perspective if you can make any good out of life. You cannot continue to sleep on the prophetic word. You must arise and war a good warfare. You must hold faith and a good conscience. This is the time to begin to fight for the manifestation of God’s word by the prophecy. Every prophetic word that has been spoken has a blessing that must manifest when the prophecy is fulfilled.

Prophecies therefore must direct our warfare. Prophecies teach you what you are entitled to and must go for. May the good Lord send a prophet and a word that will direct us as always! You will never miss your season. You will win by prophecy!

Stay blessed; I love you!

[fusion_text][James 1:12‭-‬22 KJV] “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Do not err, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”

Unfortunately, even taking a casual look at the body of Christ shows that though many are in the Church, they are not being saved. Many in the church may die and still go to Hell because they are refusing to follow the voice of God. Many are getting lost because they have lost their cross. They are unaware that we are not like the world.

Many of us just assume that coming to church makes one a Christian. Well spending time in a garage does not make you a car. The time has come for the church to arise and raise our children to understand the reality of the dangers we face out there.

If you can be saved, you must;

Endure temptation:

We must be willing to stand fast in trying times. We must make a choice to stand for the Lord and endure our own trying moments. Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. This is the time to accept that it is time to press on and press towards the mark.

Be careful that you are not drawn and trapped by lust and greed. Lust and greed lead to death. Don’t follow either your lust or your greed. We have the assurance that God, the Father of light in whom there is no shifting shadows and variableness, has begotten us by the word of truth, that we should be the first born among His creatures.

Be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to wrath:

Let us beware of offences in our relationships and faith walk. The Scriptures say “our wrath does not work the righteousness of God“. Be very careful of what you do when you are angry. Your anger does not work the righteousness of God. Our wrath and offence always work evil. Let us bridle our tongue, sharpen our hearing, and keep our hearts with all diligence.

Lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness:

Many in the church are not being saved because they are filthy and naughty. Many are overly naughty; they are abundantly filthy. You will perish and never recover if you continue to be filthy and naughty. You must be willing to lay apart all filth and superfluity of naughtiness.

Receive with meekness the engrafted word which is able to save your soul:

The only thing that can save you is the engrafted word – the word that becomes part of your life and yields fruits.

It will therefore take the doing the word. The Bible says “be doers of the word and not hearers only…”. You must walk in the word; let the word be part of you; keep it in your memory; confess the word; believe the word and press on in it.

This is the time, you will not miss your salvation. You will advance and go far. I cannot shield you beyond what you do with the word I preach. If I preach and say don’t date a stranger, that is all I can do to protect and shield you.

Stay blessed; I love you!

Love not in Word only but in Deed and in Truth!

People must recognize our genuine love for the Lord without us telling them; they must see it in action.Originally published at highcity.org

“My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.” (1 John 3:18 KJV)

I am sick and tired of seeing people paying lip service to God and to their leaders. Today, many people love in word and in tongue. They speak the language of ‘I love you’ but do not do the acts of ‘I love you’. This is why many pastors and people who work in the ministry of compassion are broken hearted. There many of such social workers who are shocked at our double standards and hypocrisy.

In one breath they talk about the needy and destitute as if they care, but their love is only in word. This is the season and the moment in time in which our action should speak louder that our words. You should resolve to walk in love and show love. You don’t  need to tell people that you love them; they must see that you love them. This is the time, now is the moment. People must recognize our genuine love for the Lord without us telling them; they must see it in action.

The Lord wants us to be each other’s keeper. We should strive to keep the faint and feeble. You must decide to love in deed and in truth. If we love the Lord, we must be available to serve in His house; we must serve in the house of the Lord to demonstrate our love. Those who love must show it. We must act according to our love. You will never regret showing your love.

Let your works reflect the depth of your love, not just what you say. Your words are necessary but your gestures and actions ought to match your words.

Stay blessed, I love you.

You must Receive the Word Gladly

You would be in command of the issues of your life if you’ll learn to receive the word of God with gladness.

You must Receive the Word Gladly”Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls” (Acts 2:41 KJV)

Many wonder why the word of God does not work for them as it does for others. Indeed, the word of God is quick and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword; but God’s word profits only those who receive and mix it with faith. The word of God will work for you if you can receive it with gladness and not grudgingly.

The Lord’s commandments are not grievous. His word is our wisdom. When we obey Him, we are wise. The Lord said “a wise man is one who hears my sayings and does them. He is like a man who builds his house on a rock”; the storms may hit it but his house will stand.

Whenever your pastor is preaching, put him at ease. Receive the word with gladness; receive the word with smiles. You would be in command of the issues of your life if you’ll learn to receive the word of God with gladness. How can you make it in life when you continually reject wisdom. You must receive the word with gladness!

Stay blessed; I love you!

Today’s Prayer!

Father, in the name of Jesus, I come to you and ask that you will give me the heart of the wise; a heart to receive Your  word with gladness! I silence every contrary voice that tries to hinder me from receiving Your word from the mouth of my pastor. Thank You for an answered prayer!

Amen
