3 Secrets that will Help You to Go Far with God

We must abide in Him; abide in His body and allow His word to abide in us. These are the master keys to finishing in faith. Originally published at highcity.org

Today, I want to share with you the 3 simple secrets to advancing in God by faith.

(Acts 2:40‭-‬42 KJV) “And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.  Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.  And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.”

The three simple secrets to advancing in God by faith are;

  1. Believe: Gladly receive the word
  2. Connect: Be added to the fold
  3. Continue: Continue steadfastly with us

This is how those in the early church advanced and went far with the Lord. Many of the things that we push for have very little to do with enduring faith. Many fall from the faith and are unable to overcome to the end because they are not connected and continuing.

The Bible tells us that they gladly received the word. Notice that they didn’t receive it grudgingly but gladly. They gladly received the word, were baptised and added to the church. We must abide in Him; abide in His body and allow His word to abide in us. These are the master keys to finishing in faith.

I pray that you will finish in faith and finish strong. May the good Lord help you to finish. You will not fail! You will finish your course and finish faithfully.

Stay blessed, I love you!

Today’s Prayer

Father, it is my earnest desire to continue and go all the way with You in my walk on earth. I don’t intend to grow weary and fall off. I pray for help from above to believe, connect, and continue in the name of Jesus Christ! Help me, God.

Amen!

Unleashed to Double in 2018 – How Shall it be?

Every word that has been spoken over us shall be fulfilled as long as we are willing to recieve grace and truth from the word.

Unleashed-to-Double-in-2018-How-Shall-it-be“And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,  To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.  And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.  And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.  And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.  And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.  He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:  And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.  Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?  And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.”

“And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.  For with God nothing shall be impossible.  And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.” (Luke 1:26‭-‬38 KJV)

“Be it unto me according to your word” Hallelujah, “according to your word”, I love that phrase. May it be unto according to His word. Simply put, I shall do according to the word. I shall yield to whatever the word shall do unto me or where ever the word shall turn me to.

Indeed, there are times when the prophetic word to us does not make sense, but almost sounds like a lie. How can an angel tell a girl that has not known a man that you shall give birth in 40 weeks, as though it would be by bluetooth? But glory be to God, He has technology that’s more powerful than bluetooth; the ‘obey-the-word’ technology .

My prophecy may not make sense but if you can obey the word, you will be productive, fruitful, and prosper. We have learnt in Isaiah 60 that if you shall obey the voice and word of God, a little one shall become a thousand and a small one shall become a strong nation.  The word came saying “Arise, shine..“, all you need to do is to obey the word.

Stop asking how shall it be. And start yielding and meditating on the word.  After her own experience, Mary became a coach on how to recieve miracles later on at a wedding in Cana. She taught the servants how to recieve miracles, she said “whatever He tells you to do, do it; even if it does not make sense. This year somebody shall obey-the-word! Shout-amen-to-that!

I tell you that this is the same word that became flesh and dwelt among men; this same word is full of grace and truth. Those who recieve the word that we share also recieve grace and truth. Truth that sets you free and grace that empowers you for exploits. The word you are hearing now is full of grace and truth. “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14 KJV)

All you need is the word; the mystery to doubling and increasing is in two things: grace and truth.

Grace: God’s unmerited favour! In fact, grace is the help or gift of God that compensate for the weaknesses, limitation, and short falls of mortal men.

Truth: God’s reality! Truth is what God sees as real. Truth is not based on your perception but on God’s reality. “Let all men be liars and let God be true.”

The prophecy may seem impossible; it may look like it won’t happen; but as you yield to the word and voice of God, you recieve grace and truth for life. Mary yielded and it happened for her, you would yield and it will happen for you. Don’t go through 2018, taking life as usual. Every word that has been spoken over us shall be fulfilled as long as we are willing to recieve grace and truth from the word.

Stay blessed; I love you.

How does Faith Work

God wants you to be in charge of the affairs of your life. You were created to have dominion and to rule in Life by the Word of God.

How does Faith Work“Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the Lord , as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you” (Numbers 14:28 KJV)

Speak what you believe; that is how faith works. God wants you to be in charge of the affairs of your life. You were created to have dominion and to rule in Life by the Word of God. (See Romans 5:17)

Our authority as obedient children of God and the recipe for miracles are embedded in the word of God. When we act according to the word of God, we literally walk in the authority and name of God.

So then the simple steps to a miracle life are:

  1. Listen by the Word of God:

The Word of God should form the basis of how you hear. Romans 10:17 teaches that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Christians who can walk in authority are those who listen to the Word of God. These are they that intentionally try to implant the Word of God in their lives.

  1. Believe what you hear:

When you have heard by the Word of God, you must believe what you have heard. Hebrews 4:1-2 teaches that though the same gospel was preached to Israel, it did not profit them because they did not mix it with faith. Whenever the Word of God comes to you, you must believe it; or else the enemy will steal it from you heart.

  1. Speak what you believe:

We know the spirit of faith is speaking. Speak what you believe, that is how faith works. You don’t speak what you see, you must speak what you want to see.

“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;” (2 Corinthians 4:13 KJV)

  1. Act on what you say:

Faith without works is dead. Faith manifest when we act on what we speak.

You will not fail! You will access and harness the power resident in your positive words.

I love you, stay blessed!

Making the Word Happen

Nothing happens by accident. Men subject to like passions as we are make it happen. We should rise and be a people that makes things happen, rather than relaxing and melancholically following whatever would happen.

Making the Word Happen was originally published on HighCity Church

Making the Word Happen“Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.  And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.” (James 5:17-18)

Today’s Reading: 1 Kings 18

Nothing happens by accident. Men subject to like passions as we are make it happen. We should rise and be a people that makes things happen, rather than relaxing and melancholically following whatever would happen.

As we approach the next season, you can sit on the roof top waiting for the rain or you can be on the mountain making the rain come.  If you make the cheers happen, you will be celebrated. Enough of sitting on the fence waiting on circumstances to favour you. Get down to the tracks and push until something happens in your life.

The Lord has spoken, we have been told that it is our season of expansion and fulfillment. Therefore, the simple steps to making things happen are;

  1. Receive the Word in faith:

Listen for the Word of God and step out in faith and courage. In 1 Kings 18:1, we are told that the word of the Lord came unto Elijah saying “Go and show yourself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth.” the man of God and his servants received the Word in faith. They took the Word seriously and started off.

  1. Condemn every tongue that rises up against you:

Most often than not before the vision speaks for itself, people will misrepresent and accuse you. In 1 Kings 18:17-20, we are told that Ahab upon seeing Elijah, began to accuse him; but the man of God began to talk back and condemn that tongue. When David decided to fight Goliath, he was criticised, mocked, and called names, but he was not moved. He rather worked hard to make the vision speak.

  1. Stand for what is right even if it means standing alone:

People are tired of fake people. It is time to show the real stuff. Many of us run with the masses but Elijah stood for what was right and not what was popular. There were 850 prophets on one side but he still stood with what God had said.

  1. Pray earnestly while you work:

While you work at your assignment, give yourself to prayer. Put your face in-between your thighs and pray. Shut your ears from external voices and listen to your inner voice. Just pray and keep praying. God has spoken, it is now time to give our all to the Word. So get down to work, avoid being distracted. God is waiting on us to run with the Word.

  1. Surround yourself with the right people:

While you pray and work, surround yourself with people who believe in your dream even if your circumstances are contrary but are strong enough to tell you the truth.  These must be people who stick with you even for six seasons of no sign of success; but are strong enough to give you the right situational report. The servant of Elijah stood even after 6 times of no sign of rain. The vision is for an appointed time. Stick with the right team.

You will not fail, trust God and press forward with hope.

God bless you!
