Why You must Put Your Faith in Christ!

Those who believe in Christ grow wiser and powerful. Originally published at highcity.org

[Proverbs 4:7 KJV] “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding”.

The greatest challenge in life is to know what, why, how to do what matters; and having the power to do it. Many people know what must be done, why it must be done, and how it must be done; but lack the power to do it, but we know that Christ Jesus is the wisdom and the power of God. He is what it takes to excel in life. He is both the wisdom and power of God for living.

[1 Corinthians 1:24 KJV] “But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God”.

There are many grades and levels of power, but the wisdom and power of God is the highest power a man could possibly have. Now, your faith in Christ empowers you to listen and obey what He says. May your faith in Christ give you access to the grace that releases the wisdom and power of God.

Those who believe in Christ grow wiser and powerful. “To them that believe him; to them he gives power to be the sons of God”. Christ is the wisdom and power of God. Those who believe Him receive these two virtues for living. Christ the pillar that holds our lives.

Those who believe in Christ Jesus believe in the word of God;

In fact, Jesus Christ is the Word that was with God from the beginning. He is the embodiment of God’s wisdom and power. Those who believe Him, even those who believe in His name are given power to become the sons of God, living the life of God in the midst of this crooked and perverse generation.

I pray that as you vest your faith and confidence in the Lord Jesus, you will receive the direction and power to live life to the max! May weaknesses leave your life! May His divine wisdom, sustain and keep you going! Nothing shall stop you! Any attempt to use witchcraft and manipulation to control you is broken in the name of Jesus Christ.

Be blessed; I love you!

4 Wisdom Keys for Prosperity

To prosper by the truth, you must constantly be renewing your mind and heart by the truthOriginally published at highcity.org

[Luke 13:1‭-‬3‭, ‬6‭-‬9 KJV] “There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none. Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground? And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it: And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down”.

The will of God for us is to be fruitful and productive. He wants us to dwell in safety and fruitfulness. Each one of us must focus and desire to bear fruits and be productive if we want to enjoy divine protection and defence.

The four simple keys to fruitfulness and eternal security are:

Constant renewal:

You must constantly be renewing your mind and heart by the truth. We must constantly be recalibrating our faith and pureness guage. If we throw away faith and pure conscience, we will make a shipwreck of our faith.

Planted:

You will be fruitful and enjoy divine protection if you get planted in the house of the Lord. Psalm 92:12-13 says those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall be flourish in the courts of our God. You must decide to be planted and nothing more. You must be stable and faithful (See Proverb 28:19-22).

Respect time:

Every good thing grows but with time and in its own time. If you really want to be safe and flourishing, allow time. Respect time and allow things to grow with time in its own time. Whatever your hands have touched shall grow and it will not die. It shall grow in its own time.

Allow the gardener to dig and dung around you:

There are certain things the gardener must uproot and there are certain things that must be poured upon or around you. May the Lord uproot anything in your life which He did not plant! May you be endued with power from on high! Receive power from above!

Stay blessed; I love you!

The Foolishness of God is Wiser than the Wisdom of Men!

At face value, it may sound wiser to choose the shorter route, but with understanding and from hindsight we know that taking the longer route was wiser

The Foolishness of God is Wiser than the Wisdom of Men! was originally published on HighCity Church

The-Foolishness-of-God-is-Wiser-than-the-Wisdom-of-Men“And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:  But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.  And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him: for he had straitly sworn the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you; and ye shall carry up my bones away hence with you.  And they took their journey from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, in the edge of the wilderness.  And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:  He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.” (Exodus 13:17‭-‬22 KJV)

Today I shall exhort you on the need to understand this one thing, and that is ‘as you follow God, you will admit that the foolishness of God is wiser than the wisdom of men’. As you allow God, the God of Zion to lead you in the coming season, always remember that the foolishness of God is wiser than the wisdom of men.

The God of Zion is the God of healing, deliverance, and possessing of possessions. (Obadiah 1:17) When the God of zion becomes your shepherd and He begins to lead you, you will journey and advance day and night. Nothing shall be able to stop you. You will press on and win. He will lead us in the paths of health, liberty, and prosperity.

Indeed, the foolishness of God is wiser than men. Sometimes the decisions and doctrines of God sounds very foolish and absurd. How can you choose a path that is longer and will taken much longer days when there is a shorter route. At face value, it may sound wiser to choose the shorter route, but with understanding and from hindsight we know that taking the longer route was wiser (Exodus 13:17).

I pray that as we wait on God, you would yield and submit to the godly counsel of your pastor. I pray that as we wait on God you shall learn to listen and obey God. May you have respect for the wisdom of God. His  ordinances is our wisdom (Deuteronomy 4:6).

The Bible teaches that when Israel made God their shepherd, He led them by clouds by day and at night as a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could journey and advance day and night. God wanted Israel to be able to work and advance day and night.

As you follow the seeming foolishness of God, you will advance both day and night. This means that throughout all the seasons of life, you will see progress. The sun shall not smite you by day, the clouds of God shall be your umbrella. You may be walking in your season of wilderness but the clouds of God shall give you shade. The God of Zion shall be a cloud to us as we follow His leading.

As you follow the God of Zion, we shall not be crushed by the night season; His pillar of fire shall give us light. He will give us heat and light. The God of Zion shall lead and brings us to the Promise Land. He will lead us to the land that flows with milk and honey.

You may not be comfortable with the path God has chosen. The journey may seem to delay, the path may appear longer but it is safer if that is the path God chose. His leading may not follow logic and reasoning but He knows what He is doing.

Let’s learn to trust the God of Zion. If He did not spare His own son but gave Him as a ransom for all, then He is able. God is able, the God of Zion is more than able. He is waiting on you to be strong and courageous. This is your day and now is your season.

Stay blessed; I love you

What is Wisdom

Learn how to spend time to discover, keep, and do the commandment of the Lord., and you shall escape every trap of darkness, and be ahead of your equalsOriginally published at highcity.org

As I studied the subject of wisdom several years ago, I heard so many definitions of the word wisdom until I became confused as to what wisdom really is. Today, we want to explore the meaning of wisdom beyond mere grammar and diction.

(Deuteronomy 4:5‭-‬6 KJV) “Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the Lord my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.  (6) Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.”

Wisdom is what God has commanded. The wisdom of the church is the word and statutes of God. The world may have their own set of wisdom but we have only one wisdom, the word of God. His word is our wisdom and understanding. Soon the nations around you will testify that the commandment of God is wisdom.

Those who obey God and walk in His statutes are really wise and have understanding. I encourage you to walk in the statutes of the Lord. This is our wisdom;

I have no wisdom to teach other than to instruct you in the commandments and statutes of the Lord.

You don’t need any other wisdom. As you keep and do the commandments, those who hear your statutes shall testify that this great nation is wise and has understanding. As you keep and do the commandments of the Lord, your wisdom and understanding shall show.

I encourage you to spend time to discover, keep and do the commandment of the Lord. You will escape every trap of darkness. You will escape and be ahead of your equals in Jesus’ name!

Let’s give hope, prayer, and encouragement below. Post a contribution or a question & let the discussion continue in the comment box below.

Stay blessed, I love you!

Time Is Far Spent

The time is far spent and it’s time to awaken. It is time for us to prepare and to get ready. How then should we think and conduct our lives?Originally published at highcity.org

Praise the Lord! I hope all is well.

I thank God anytime upon the remembrance of you. I pray that as you read these exhortations morning by morning your conscience will be awakened to the reality that Jesus Christ is coming soon. Jesus is coming, and coming again quickly.

But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;  (30) And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not;  (31) And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.  (32) But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:  (33) But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.  (34) There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.  (35) And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction (1 Corinthians 7:29-35 KJV)

The time is far spent and it’s time to awaken. It is time for each and every one to prepare and to get ready.  How should we think and conduct our lives if Jesus Christ is truly coming again?

Apostle Paul admonishes that if we hold on too tightly to anything in this life, that thing might sweep us off our feet. If you hold on tightly to the world you will be drawn away; but if we attend unto the things of the Lord, we will do well.

  1. If you are married, if you have a wife, live your life as if you have none:

Don’t hold on too tightly. You cannot serve nor please God if you hold on too tightly to marriage. There are times when your spouse is in rebellion, and you must not follow him. Jesus Christ is the head of the home and not your husband. The man is the head of the woman and not the head of the home. Jesus Christ must be the head of a Christian home.

  1. If you are weeping, live as if you are not weeping; if you are rejoicing, live as if you are not rejoicing:

If you are really serious about serving and pleasing the Lord, then don’t let your emotions overcome you. You must learn to handle both your pain and joy as though they don’t exist. Time is not on our side; you don’t have time to weep nor rejoice. We are labouring men; we have so much to do. We are soldiers and fighting men; we cannot stop now. We cannot stop to either weep nor rejoice. Indeed, whether we weep or rejoice, do so as if you are not.

  1. If you have bought anything, live as though you possess nothing:

Many cannot please God because they bought a car or house or a phone. They have suddenly become owners of things; they possess so much that they are unable to let go and serve the Lord. I pray that you will buy cars, houses, and even own businesses but you will live as possessing nothing. The time is far spent and we must wise up. Many of us are drifting with the world so much because we are holding on too tightly to the world.

  1. Indeed, let them that use the world, not abuse it:

Don’t overuse or abuse the world. Don’t get too tied to the world. Don’t abuse the world because the world is passing away and passing too quickly.

Indeed, I wish that those who are unmarried focus on serving and pleasing the Lord.  By default, the unmarried will strive to please the Lord and the married to please their spouses.

I don’t intend to cast a snare on you. I don’t intend to set rules for you. I am only admonishing you that the time is far spent, so focus on attending to the things of the Lord.

Don’t let anything distract you. Focus on the things of the Lord. Attend to those things. Strive to work on the things of the Lord.

Work hard! Stay blessed!

God bless you!

I love you.

Walk In Wisdom Toward Them That Are Without

Originally published at highcity.org

Dearly beloved, the end of all things is at hand, and men are growing worse and worse. Things no longer seem to be what they used to be. Times have changed and the days are not only evil but the people of the day are growing worse and worse.

Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time (Colossians 4:5 KJV)

I wish we could change how things happen around here these days but no matter how hard we work some people are determined to serve the desire of the devil. These people know we are believers and children of God, they know we cannot fight back; they are therefore determined to abuse our humility and meekness.

The word of God, therefore, exhorts us to be careful and walk in wisdom towards those that are without. We must use a lot of discretion when we are dealing with people who are not involved in what we are. Even in church, we walk in wisdom when you are dealing with people who do not do what you do.

When you go out for evangelism, visitation, to work, or while running errands, in the street, on your way to church, in your office or workplace, remember that we all order our lives among unbelievers; walk in wisdom. At the bus station walk in wisdom.  In the market walk in wisdom. When you are walking at night walk in wisdom. If you refuse to walk in wisdom, you will be fooled, abused, violated sexually, etc. Be wise!

If you are walking in the streets alone, walk in wisdom. Spread this message to everyone around you, especially to your children. We must walk with our heads and not our legs.

For example, if you serve in ministry and you are dealing with people who are not in the ministry, act in wisdom, especially concerning time.

People who are without don’t share your convictions and as such, they don’t understand nor think as you think. Without wisdom, the world will finish you. Without wisdom the world will swallow you.

Receive wisdom! And walk in wisdom! Take care of your time. Don’t waste your moments. The days are evil. Time is precious. The harvest is ripe and we need to buy up the moments.

Listen, every man has a season and don’t think that you can always serve the Lord. Brother! There are things we can do today which we cannot do tomorrow. Don’t be deceived to think that we can always preach! Our days and moments are numbered. Number your days aright and make the moments count.

The days are evil and the moments must count. Don’t waste your time chatting, hanging out, fooling about. Let the Lord take your days and your moments; let them flow in ceaseless praise.

Do you have any questions or topics on any relevant subject that you would like to discuss with the rest of our hundreds of daily visitors? You can join in right now. Bless you!

Be wise! Be strong! Stay blessed

I love you.
