Our God is Able, If You Can Believe

Many things can happen for us if we are able to believe Him. If there is a man to believe, then there is a God to act in his favor.Originally published at highcity.org

We serve the God of all flesh; there is nothing too hard for Him. He is able to do all things. He is able and can do all that He desires to do. If you can believe it, He can do it. God is able and He will do for us all that we trust Him to do. Many things can happen for us if we are able to believe Him. If there is a man to believe, then there is a God to act in his favor.

[Jeremiah 32:26‭-‬27 KJV] “Then came the word of the Lord unto Jeremiah, saying, [27] Behold, I am the Lord , the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?”

Hebrews 11 gives us a long list of those who trusted in God, and how He came through for them. The Bible tells us about how that;

1. Out of one sprang many offspring;

If only you can also believe, then out of you will spring forth a generation of men who love and serve God with gladness.

2. By faith, women received their dead back to life;

You will see the resurrection power at work. You shall see a revival in that dead business. You shall receive your dead back to life.

3. By faith, God delivered Jericho by Rahab the harlot;

God can use every one of us if only we can believe. The Bible did not say that Rahab continued in her old ways. She believed with the people of God.

4. By faith Moses crossed the Red Sea, as on dry grounds:

You will come through by faith, just keep trusting. God is able, and He will bring you out.

The following keys from Proverbs 3:1-12 teaches us how to trust God;

1. Forget not the law of your father:

I am your father because I have begotten in the faith by the gospel.

[Proverbs 3:1-2] “My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: [2] For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee”.

2. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee:

These are the secrets to favor and good understanding in the sight of God.

[Proverbs 3:3-4] “Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: [4] So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man”.

3. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding:

Until you trust the Lord with all of your heart, you have not trusted Him at all. You must trust with all of your heart; a double minded person is unstable in all of his ways. Such a person cannot recieve anything from the Lord.

[Proverbs 3:5 KJV] “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding”.

4. In all your ways acknowledge the Lord:

You must know that it all takes God. Except the Lord builds the city, they labour in vain that build it; except the Lord watches over a city, the watchers stay awake but in vain.

[Proverbs 3:6 KJV] “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths”.

5. Be not wise in thine own eyes:

Fear the Lord and depart from evil. Don’t try to help yourself by pursuing evil. Those who shed blood to make it eventually lose it all.

[Proverbs 3:7-8 KJV] “Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord , and depart from evil. [8] It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones”.

6. Honour the Lord with your substance:

Your tithes, offerings, spending, savings, investment, charity, and giving must all honour God. Your giving and sharing and investments must honour God. This is the secret to overflow, and prosper, and expand.

[Proverbs 3:9-10] “Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: [10] So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine”.

7. Despise not the chastening of the Lord;

Don’t be weary of His correction. Learn wisdom and understanding through correction.

[Proverbs 3:1‭1-‬12 KJV] “My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord ; neither be weary of his correction: [12] For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth”.

You can’t fail; you must and will win. God is able and He will cause us to win. Nothing shall cause you to fail. You must win and win big. Be blessed.

I love you;

In All Thy Getting Get Understanding

The difference between wisdom and knowledge is perspective or understanding. Knowledge is simply to know or to be informed; wisdom is to understand what it should mean to you.Originally published at highcity.org

[Proverbs 4:7 KJV] “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding”.

Wisdom is the principal thing, hence there is the need to get understanding. How then can we gain this understanding? Let us share practical steps to gain that understanding.

In life, the difference between wisdom and knowledge is perspective or understanding. Knowledge is simply to know or to be informed; wisdom is to understand what it should mean to you.

I read about two twin boys raised by an alcoholic father.

One grew up to be a worse alcoholic than the father. When asked why he drinks, he said “I watched and learnt from my father”. The other grew up and never touched anything alcoholic his entire life. When asked same question, he replied “I watched and learnt from my father”.

Two boys, same dad, same growing environment but they had two different perspectives.

In all thy getting, get wisdom, get understanding. I pray that the good Lord will enlighten you to know what to do with knowledge.

The steps to gain understanding for living is to be;

1. Subject to tutors;

There is a vast differencd between authority, right, capacity, and understanding. We gain understanding when we submit to our tutors. Your tutors and governors teach and prepare you for the future. The role of tutors and governance is to equip you for full function.

[Galatians 4:1‭-‬2 KJV] “Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be Lord of all; But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father”.

2. Go to the ant;

Your ant is anyone you don’t respect much but is achieving more than you expect. The ant is a small animal yet can achieve much in a short time.

[Proverbs 6:6‭-‬8 KJV] “Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: [7] Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, [8] Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest”.

3. Observe nature;

Nature always has something to teach. There is so much we can learn from nature. The Bible encourages us to study nature to understand truth.

[1 Corinthians 11:14 KJV] “Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?”

4. Lay aside malice… and desire the sincere milk of the word;

A malicious hypocrite can never increase in knowledge. It takes sincerity to increase in knowledge.

[1 Peter 2:1‭-‬3 KJV] “Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, [2] As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: [3] If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious”.

5. Pray;

God gives wisdom and does not reproach or rebuke you for asking for it. He shows great and mighty things and those who pray operate this high knowledge.

[James 1:5 AMP] “If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him”.

6. Be prudent at heart and wise in the ear

May the Lord give each of us a prudent heart to understand wisdom. May your ears be empowered with wisdom so that in hearing you will understand.

[Proverbs 18:15 KJV] “The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge”.

Be blessed, I love you!

4 Things that Lead to a Healthy Walk with God

The Lord reveals His will to those who are willing to offer their bodies as a holy sacrifice, while despising the patterns and standards of the worldOriginally published at highcity.org

[Colossians 1:9‭-‬12 KJV] “For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:”

Four simple things that lead to a healthy walk with God, after you have found unfeigned faith in His Son. You will be able to walk with divinity and enjoy it if you get:

Filled with knowledge

It is my prayer that you will be “filled with the knowledge of the will of God in all wisdom and spiritual understanding”. I pray that you will not be confused about what the will of God for your life is. Once you know the will of God for your life and focus, you’ll have great light and clarity of vision. You must know the will of God in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. This happens when you;

  1. Reject and despise the pattern and standards of the world.
  2. Renew your mind according to the word of God you hear.
  3. Offer your body as a living sacrifice holy and acceptable unto God (See Romans 12:1-3)

Until you reject and despise worldly standards, renew your mind, and offer your body as a sacrifice, you can never know the will of God in wisdom and spiritual understanding. The Lord reveals His will to those who are willing to offer their bodies as a holy sacrifice, while despising the patterns and standards of the world.

Walk worthy of the Lord

I pray that you will walk worthy of the the Lord in all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in knowledge.

You can walk worthy of the Lord when you focus on;

  1. Pleasing the Lord in all things
  2. Being fruitful in every good work
  3. Increasing in knowledge

This is the desire of the Lord. John 15:16 teaches that He has chosen us that we should go and bear fruits and that our fruits might remain. The Lord wants us to be fruitful unto every good work and increase in knowledge. All of us must increase in knowledge. We must “give attendance to reading, exhortation and doctrine” (See 1 Timothy 4:13).

Be strengthened with might

I pray that you will be strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; this is one of the secrets to victory over satanic powers. Ephesians 6: 10-18 teaches us to “be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might”.

Give thanks always

Your final and fourth key is to learn to “giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light”. We must thank God because He has made us to be partakers with the saints in light. If you are born again then you are a partaker of the inheritance of the saints. You are now in the family of God and qualify for a supernatural lifestyle. You will not do well until you are thankful for the faith.

These are the four things that helps us to live a life pleasing to God. You will be the delight and the joy of the Lord. You will grow healthily.

Be blessed, I love you!
