You Will Never Backslide If You Understand This!

The church can no longer be just buildings and congregations, but families and small groups — Let us arise and begin to worship God in spirit and in truth!Originally published at highcity.org

[John 4:19-24 KJV] “The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. [20] Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship”.

[21] “Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. [22] Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews”.

[23] “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. [24] God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth”.

I want to exhort you on the fact that you will never backslide if you understand that God is a spirit, and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. Many worshippers are not doing well because they have tied Christ and worship to a building; but as I have told you before, Christ and the gospel has had very little to do with buildings and locations. Inasmuch as I am a firm believer in assembling ourselves together, I believe that God is a spirit and those who worship Him ought to worship Him in spirit and in truth. We must begin to shift into the higher realm where we may be far apart geographically and yet so spiritually connected to each other in fellowship.

Thanks to science and technology! Thanks to abounding knowledge, let us learn to walk in the Spirit and connect both virtually and spiritual. The Lord said “a day is coming, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship God in spirit and in truth. We are literally confronted with such a day; though our right to worship has not been taken away from us, the importance to worship together have been downplayed and despised.

A ban on gathering to worship may just be a wake-up call to the church. We ought to understand that we live in epic times and this could spell doom for our freedom of worship. This is the day and time when our rights to worship and responsibility are most needed and should be respected. At least consensus building in placing such a ban would have been helpful. We must, in any case, arise to become the church that can meet as family units and small groups. I pray that this season of not meeting physically will help and lead to the building of the family units.

This is the time to arise as a church to worship in spirit and in truth. There are more dangerous and difficult times ahead. I pray that we shall all be built into a robust church that can worship in spirit and in truth. The church can no longer be buildings and congregations; church has now become families and small groups. Times are changing and the church must get ready to act. Let us arise to begin to worship in the Spirit God.

I speak over your life that great change shall come to you. I declare that you shall walk in realms of power and integrity. May your faith never fail! May we connect virtually and spiritually! You will make it and not fail, Amen!

Be blessed, I love you!

Don’t Let Your Spirit Be Wounded

Worry less, let go of things you can’t change, and smile alot. Do all you can to maintain a sweet spirit and you will be good. You can love again, you can start all over.Originally published at highcity.org

[Proverbs 18:14 KJV] “The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?”

The Bible tells us that the spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity, but a wounded spirit is impossible to bear. It is teaching us that the most difficult malady or infirmity to handle or bear is a wound in the spirit. I pray that you will not allow the wounds that people inflict on you get to your spirit. I pray that you shall lift your head and love again.

The Bible tells us that though the archers hit and wounded Joseph sore, one thing that the man of God did not allow to be broken was his spirit. Joseph was a man of strong spirit because the hand of the Lord was with him to sustain him.

[Genesis 49:22-26 KJV] “Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall: [23] The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him , and hated him: [24] But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:) [25] Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb: [26] The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren”.

Sometimes, I think that Boaz could have married Naomi; just like he married Ruth. Whatever custom that made Boaz a near kinsman to the husband of Naomi could have made Boaz marry her. I think she missed her season because she allowed her spirit to be wounded. She said, call me Mara; indicating that she had resigned from life. When Naomi came back to Bethlehem, she was about 45 to 60 years, and Ruth was likely to be between 15 to 25 years. Naomi could have been the widow Boaz married, but she resigned too prematurely. Don’t allow anything to break your spirit. Always keep a positive spirit.

We see how Paul, Stephen, and our Lord Jesus Christ overcame because they had a strong spirit. In the midst of the storm, they still maintained a strong spirit. They were determined not to be broken.

Don’t let anything wound your spirit. Worry less, let go of things you can’t change, and smile  a lot. Do all you can to maintain a sweet spirit and you will be good. You can love again, you can start all over. Don’t let one failure stop you. Press on and God will take you far. Stay blessed!

I love you;

Understanding the Nature of Man

We are created in the image and the likeness of God. We are created to function as God does, in the midst of His creation. We must be careful how we carry ourselves in this life, because soon and very soon all of us will go to our eternal homes.Originally published at highcity.org

[Genesis 2:7 KJV] “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breoath of life; and man became a living soul”.

The Bible tells us that God formed man out of the dust of the earth, He breathed into the dust, and man became a living soul. Man is tripartite, just like God, in whose image we were created; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. So I am a living soul, I have a spirit, and live in a body; a body taken out of dust.

The Bible tells us that when a man dies, when “the cistern be broken and the silver cord is broken; the spirit goes to He who gave it and the dust returns to the earth from where it was taken;” the only thing a man truly possess is his soul.

[Ecclesiastes 12:6‭-‬7 KJV] “Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern. [7] Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it”.

So, man is a living soul, has a spirit, and lives in a body. We are created in the image and the likeness of God. We are created to function as God does, in the midst of His creation. We must be careful how we carry ourselves in this life, because soon and very soon all of us will go to our eternal homes.

The Bible tells us that it profits no man even if he will gain the whole world and lose his own soul. Your soul is who you are, you must therefore make decisions that guarantees your soul a peaceful eternal home.

[Mark 8:36 KJV] “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”

I pray that you shall understand your very nature, and work for the salvation of your soul. Your real profit is your soul. To save your soul and prepare it for eternal peace with God is your foremost responsibility.

When all is said and done, you will face eternity either alone or with Christ. God will not force either heaven or hell on you; he will honour your choice. You have a choice to make, but remember that God will respect your choice, so choose wisely.

May the Lord help us to make intelligent choices! We are free agents. Our many choices determine the outcome of our lives. The Bible says that “we all, as sheep, have gone astray, but now we can return to the bishop and Shepherd of our souls”. We have a Shepherd now that way he’s over our souls. Let us return! He is waiting.

[1 Peter 2:25 KJV] “For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls”.

This is the day and moment to return to the bishop of our souls. May the Lord Shepherd and watch over your souls. You are a soul, have a spirit and live in a body. Stay blessed, be blessed.

I love you;

Work Out Your own Salvation

It is time to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. You cannot do it any how. You must be diligent about it. Let us be careful, lest we fall short of the grace.Originally published at highcity.org

[Philippians 2:12-16 KJV] “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. [13] For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. [14] Do all things without murmurings and disputings: [15] That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; [16] Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

I want to exhort you today to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Salvation, from the Greek word ‘sozo’, means to save, heal, liberate, protect and to make whole. The Apostle is therefore exhorting us to work out our own salvation, healing, liberation, and protection with fear and trembling. That is to say, work it with carefulness; with all carefulness, work it out, so you don’t fail.

The apostle is saying “work out..” because salvation is instantaneous, continuous, and in the future.

You were saved the moment you heard, admitted, believed, and confessed the truth. (See Roman 10:9-13)

[Ephesians 2:8 KJV] “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:”

Now, we are being saved, and we shall be saved when the Lord shall come. That will be the climax and perfection of salvation.

[Romans 13:11 KJV] “And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed”.

It is time to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. You cannot do it any how. You must be diligent about it. Let us be careful, lest we fall short of the grace.

[Hebrews 12:15‭-‬16 KJV] “Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; [16] Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright”.

I will therefore share with you five simple keys to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling after you hear the gospel, admit, believe, and confess the truth; get baptized and added to the church.

So, after getting born again, how do you work out your own salvation with fear and trembling?

1. Prayer without ceasing:
Pray daily. Just remember to pray because your life depends on prayer. Prayer strengthen your connection with heaven (See 1 Thessalonians 5:17)

2. Fellowship:
Don’t forsake the assembling together of yourselves. Fellowship strengthens your connection with the brethren and with the body (See Hebrews 10:25)

3. Reach out:
The gospel must not end with you. You must reach out to the poor, sick, lost, naked, hungry, homeless, prisoner and the destitute. Reach out to the streets and lanes, to the highways and hedges, to the maimed and halt. We must share both the good news and the goodness of the Lord with our fellow humans. This strengthens our connection with the lost world. It is our ministry and responsibility to reach out with the love of God.

4. Walk in the way by the truth and the life:
Continue in the faith; we need to go through many tribulation to enter the kingdom. Your faith is for mountains and challenges. You must continue in the faith. Don’t give up when challenges come. Let us press on and we shall win.

5. Look for the appearing and the second coming of the Lord:
Hebrews 9:27 teaches that, “as it is appointed unto man once to die and after death judgement; so shall Christ Jesus appear unto them that look for his second coming without sin”. Jesus Christ is coming again. He is coming quickly but those who look for His appearing and second coming shall be raptured.

This is the day and the opportune time to work out your own salvation. While you go about your dreams and visions, don’t forget to keep these five truth as a catalyst to life. These five keys are catalysts and you need them to accelerate growth, dominion, and prosperity.

Prayer Points

#1. Praise;

Praise is a weapon against the devices of darkness. Let us lift up our voice and praise the Lord!

Join me as we lift up the name of the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Praise the Lord and sing of His goodness and grace. Declare His goodness from the East to the West. Let the world hear that our God is good and His mercies endure forever.

#2. Offenses;

Offenses is one of the most effect weapons of war against the saint. Today, forgive all those who have wronged you.

From today, I release all those who have offended me. I refuse to bear grudge. I forgive those who have wronged me. I refuse to be hurt. Lord, heal us. Help us from bitterness. Uphold us with a free spirit.

#3. Hexes and curses;

Hex and curses are real, but can be broken. We will deal with all hexes and curse and see change.

Now we invoke the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus against any hex or curses placed on any one of us. I pray that the blood of Jesus Christ will break every hex or curses operating in any life here. I enforce the blessing and the victory of the cross against the devils assigned to enforce the effect of any hex or curse now!

#4. Spells;

We neutralise any spell or charm cast on any one of us. That spell cannot work any more. We break the hold of any charm. We enlighten our minds. We awakened and walk out of the influence of the spell and charm. We command them to break! Break!! Break!!!

#5. Lies;

We release truth as a weapon against all the lies, masquerading and disguises now! We pray that any Gibeonite be unveiled and exposed.

May the Lord help you to know the real nature of the people you deal with. You can’t be deceived anymore. The Lord will expose any masquerade in your life. From today, even in your dreams, the faces of the people you see shall be exposed.

#6. Fear;

Fear is a deadly device. Don’t believe every thing you see. Learn to release your faith against fear. Learn to change your own thoughts.

Pray and release your faith against any dart of fear and doubt.

We rebuke any false expressions appearing real in our lives. I shall not be afraid any more. We are no longer slaves to fear. We are inheriting boldness. We are rising above the storm.

#7. Accusation;

Accusation is an age long device against the people of God but we can root it out today.

Now we wage war against accusation. We condemn every tongue that rises against us in accusation and condemnation. We rebuke any person trying to misrepresent our thoughts or our person. We purge ourselves of reproach.

Amen!

Stay blessed; I love you!

Understand the Spiritual Gates to Your Life

You guard your heart with all diligence by guarding your senses from picking the wrong informationOriginally published at highcity.org

[1 Thessalonians 5:14‭, ‬23 KJV] “Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ”.

Every person on Earth today must understand that we are created in the image and the likeness of God to be fruitful and multiply and replenish the Earth, and subdue it and have dominion over every creeping thing. We were intensionally and purposefully created (See Genesis 1:26-29)

Every part of you was purposefully created by the Creator to serve a purpose; you have three main parts: the spirit, the soul, and the body: In Daniel 7:15, we understand that the spirit lives in the midst of the body. The Gospels also clearly shows that the soul is different from the body.

Your senses offers the entry points or gates to your soul and spirit. This is where there are the openings of your body which offer entry into the body. Your senses are the input devices to the soul and spirit and body. Your eyes, ears, tongue, nose, and skin are the main gateways into the soul and spirit.

You guard your heart with all diligence by guarding your senses from picking the wrong information. Be careful what you hear and how you hear it. May the Lord help us to guard our spiritual portals with sobriety and vigilance! May the Lord become your shelter from the stormy blast!

Stay blessed; I love you!

Bearing Fruits Should Not be that Difficult!

You are chosen and ordained to be fruitful and productive.

Bearing Fruits Should Not be that Difficult! was originally published on HighCity

Bearing Fruits Should not be That Difficult

[John 15:16 KJV] “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”

The will of God for everyone of His children – for everyone He has chosen – is for that person to bear fruits. Indeed many are called but few are chosen but as many as are chosen and ordained, are supposed to be fruitful and productive. You are chosen and ordained to be fruitful and productive.

There are many kinds of fruits God expects from us;

  • The fruit of repentance
  • The fruits of righteousness
  • The fruits of our labour
  • The fruits of the womb
  • The fruit of the spirit
  • The fruits of our lips (which is praise)
  • The harvest of souls

Many are however fruitless. They are unable or incapable of producing offsprings, seeds or fruits. They are sterile, unable to support the growth of crops. Many lack stimulation or ideas.

Many are barren because of;

The sword of the wicked:

In 1 Samuel 15: 32-33, the prophet said the sword of Agag had made many women childless. Agag is a symbol of any evil power which operates in families and communities and renders women childless. Examples are abortion, accidents, war, crime, diseases, pestilence, witchcraft, and surgeries. In the name of Jesus, it is time to arise and face every Agag! We must utterly destroy Agag and restore sanity. I speak as a servant of God against every evil power plaguing you in the name of Jesus Christ!

This is the time to invade and engage your faith to confront and destroy Agag. We cannot slack, we must arise and fight with all strength and force. You must press on in warfare – the good fight of faith.

The lack of the Spirit:

Others are barren because their land is sterile. The absence of moisture and anointing make them sterile. Isaiah 32:15 teaches that untill the Spirit be poured, the land will remain sterile and a wilderness.

This is the time to crave and desire the anointing. You must press on and wait untill you are endued with power from on high. The anointing will make you fruitful in every area of your life. When the anointing comes upon you, you become fruitful. You become productive. The anointing has a multiplier effect (See Joel 2:28).

Presence of thorns and thistles:

Many people are barren and fruitless because of the presence of thorns and thistles. Examples are lust for other things, anxiety and cares of life, pride of life, deceitfulness of riches, and curses.

This requires the breaking up of your fallow grounds. Break up your fallow grounds, don’t sow among thorns! (See Jeremiah 4:3)

I love you; Stay blessed!

Yield or Perish!

It is big joke to claim to be a child of God and a disciple of Christ and yet remain unfruitfulOriginally published at highcity.org

If there is one thing that God demands from every one of us, it is the fruits of repentance, the fruits of faith, and the fruit of the Spirit.

(Luke 13:1‭-‬9 KJV) “There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.  And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?

I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.   Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?   I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”

“He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.   Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?

And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:   And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.”

It is big joke to claim to be a child of God and a disciple of Christ and yet remain unfruitful in matters of repentance, faith, righteousness and in matters of the Spirit.

The Lord in the story we just read says it clearly that if we remain unfruitful He will cut us off.

The father is always seeking for fruits in us. He comes year after year to find fruits; I pray that He shall find some fruits on His next visit.  May He find at least the fruits of repentance, of faith, of grace and righteousness, and of Spirit.

Remember the fruits of repentance are obedience. Remember from where you have fallen and begin to do the first works.

The fruits of faith are signs, Mark 16:15-17 tells us that the signs of casting out devils, laying hands on the sick, speaking with new tongues, picking up serpents and having immunity to deadly poison follow them that believe. These are the fruits of faith.

The fruits of grace and righteousness are dominion, excellence, prosperity, and leadership. (See Romans 5:17)

The fruit of the Spirit is godliness and character, and orderliness. Galatians 5:22 teaches this clearly.

The secrets to bear these fruits are simple:

Firstly, be planted in the garden of the Father, which is the church, that is where the gardener works. The gardener is Jesus Christ. Be planted in the Father’s garden and you will prosper. I did not say merely attend services but be planted in the Lord’s garden. Stay connected.

Secondly, yield and open up to the gardener; He will show up, and when He comes He will take away certain things and certain people. You must allow Him to do His work on you because that is how you become fruitful.

When He shows up He will drop certain things on you. He will drop dung (toilet and waste) on you; it may be inconvenient but allow Him. “Our little and momentary afflicts works for us an eternal weight of glory!”

Stay Blessed; I love you

Lord Prepare Me

Our prayer today is that the Lord will prepare us to be ready for the new things that He is preparing for us. So, let’s make the following decrees;

Lord Prepare Me was originally published on HighCity Church

Lord-Prepare-Me“And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the new [fermenting] wine will [expand and] burst the skins and it will be spilled out, and the skins will be ruined.” (Luke 5:37, Amplified Bible)

Our prayer today is that the Lord will prepare us to be ready for the new things that He is preparing for us.

This is necessary to ensure that the new dimensions that The Lord is bringing our way would not break our system. Indeed, we can only fully take advantage of the new doors that the Lord will open unto us when we come in fully prepared. The Lord is admonishing us, not to put new wine into old wineskins skin. We risk losing both. New opportunities to an unprepared generation leads to wasted efforts.

As we wait on God today, our prayer is that the Lord would prepare us fully, so that we might be able to fully utilise the new opportunities and favours that He gives us. The wine is precious and the wine skin is precious. May the Lord prepare you thoroughly to fully occupy you new dimensions.

Prophetic Prayer Points:

#Spirit:

Father in the name of Jesus, please forgive me. Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence. Restore unto me the joy of your salvation (Psalm 51:10-12). Fill me with your Holy Spirit.

Anoint me one more time! Holy Spirit anoint me with fresh oil. Activate Your gifts and power in my life now, in the mighty name of Jesus!

#Soul:

Father, I acknowledge that You are the only person able to save my soul from destruction.

As I cry out to You, save my soul. When the billows roar and roll over me; stretch forth Your hand and save me. Don’t allow the wicked one to exact upon me. Save my soul in the name of Jesus Christ!

Oh God, calm my soul; when I am disquieted. Sustain me in times of trouble in the name of Jesus Christ!

#Body:

In the name of Jesus Christ, my body is the temple of God. He dwells in me by His Spirit.

He quickens my mortal body by His Spirit. So I shall not be sick nor weak. Any evil power seeking to make me sick is rebuked in the name of Jesus Christ!

Dear God, heal my body!  Quicken my body! Let Your word be healing to my flesh, my bones and my marrow (Proverbs 4:22).

#Network:

In the name of Jesus Christ, I lift up a banner of prayer and the blood over my spouse, over my children, over my associates, and over my entire household.

I declare that no evil shall come near them. They will dwell under the shadow of the almighty.

Oh God, keep them safe and help them in the day of need. Oh God, keep them safe at home and in the street. When my children step out to play, let them be safe.

I pray for a restoration of lost destiny and relationships in Jesus’ name!

#Work:

Father, bless my hands and the works of my hand. Bless and enlarge the business of my life.

Empower me for exploits, enlarge my vision, strengthen my mind, and extend my reach!

Lord, give me wisdom to brand. Help me to define my niche, and give me favour before those who do business with me.

I will never be lost in a crowd. My light shall rise from obscurity. Even my darkness shall be as the noon. I shall be as a city set on a hill. I will shine and my light will not go out in Jesus’ name!

Show me Your ways. Let me know Your purposes and give me grace to run with them, in the name of Jesus!

#Dominion:

Lord I declare that no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against me in accusation, I shall condemn, in the name of Jesus!
