Save yourself, because sometimes, it is so easy to get caught in the euphoria of living and life. We all get swayed by the seeming successes we seem to have. Sometimes we get distracted by what we see our contemporaries seem to have gained and we get enticed. Many of us seem to have been enticed and distraught to run after the world and the things in it, but I believe it is time to pause and answer this question.

You must save yourself, because “what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul?” Is there anything in this life that is as valuable as the soul of a man? Honestly, no! Nothing! Not even life itself.

It is time to wake up to understand that there is nothing that a man can give in exchange for his soul. After all, is said and done; what matters is your soul. Is your soul saved? Where will you spend eternity? Are you sure of what will happen to your soul when you die?

[Mark 8:34‭-‬38KJV] “And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”

“For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.”

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”

“Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”

The truth is, when a man dies, the spirit returns to God and the body returns to dust; but his soul remains will go to hell or to the one you trusted to keep it for you. Man is tripartite; you are a living soul that lives in a body and has a spirit. I believe the soul is sandwiched between the spirit on the inside and the body on the outside.

Save Yourself; What shall it Profit You if You Gain the Whole World and Lose Your Soul? - Pastor Noah Simpe Bediako

The Bible tells us that when God created man from dust; He breathed into him the breath of life and man became a living soul. That is what we became. We are souls that have a spirit and live in a body. When you get born again, it is the spirit man that gets born again; the soul is saved and the body must be quickened by the Lord.

The truth is, everything is coming to a close and we must all do what we can to “save ourselves from this untoward generation”. We live in very dangerous times and the people are very unpredictable, crooked, perverse, unteachable, and out of control. You must save yourself. You must “work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”

What then can we do to save ourselves from this untoward generation?

On the Day of Pentecost, when the Holy Ghost was poured upon all flesh; the disciples spoke in tongues, and “it was noised abroad throughout Jerusalem.” The Bible teaches that when the devout men gathered and enquired to understand what had happened, Peter stood up and expounded what had happened to them. He preached the gospel to them:

[Acts 2:37‭-‬40 KJV] “Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?”

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”

“For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”

“And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.”

Believe, repent, be baptized, and receive the Holy Ghost — If you miss any of these four steps, you will not be able to live an effective Christain life! - Pastor Noah Simpe Bediako

When they ask, “what shall we do?” Apostle Peter began to teach them what to do. He gave them four steps and I will give you those same steps:

  1. Believe
  2. Repent
  3. Be Baptized
  4. Receive the Holy Ghost

These are the four simple steps to salvation; to believe, repent, be baptized, and receive the Holy Ghost. If you miss any of these four steps, you will not be able to live an effective Christain life.

Stay blessed, I love you

What Must I Do to Be Saved?

Jesus Christ died in your place that you might live forever. He is the Son of God and the ransom for the sins of the whole world!Originally published at highcity.org

Many years ago, a jailor who was put in charge of apostles Paul and Silas (when they were arrested in Phillippi) had an encounter that provoked him to think about how he could be saved. He witnessed how the power of God, through mere praises and prayers of two men, could shake down prison gates.

[Acts 16:30‭-‬32 KJV] “And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house”.

I am sure he had been hearing the preaching of these men but had not paid serious attention to it until that day.

He asked one of the most thought-provoking questions. He asked them, “what he must do to be saved?”.

My question is, must all men be saved? If we must, then saved from what? And how can men everywhere be saved?

Must all men be saved?

Yes! Absolutely yes! All men must be saved! All men must be saved from the shame and repercussions of sin.

The Bible tells us that in the beginning, God created man in His own image and likeness to rule in the midst of His creation. God blessed man to be fruitful, to multiply, and to replenish and fill the earth. God created and blessed man with all spiritual blessings.

The Bible continues to teach that God put man in the garden of Eden to dress and to keep the garden. This is where man lived with his wife until they disobeyed God, and death began to reign until Moses. The Bible tells us that death is evidence of sin in us. The Bible tells us in Romans 3:23, that “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God”. That is proof that all men must be saved from the shame and repercussions of sin. The Bible says, “death ruled, even over those who did not sin after the similitude of Adam”.

What must you do to be saved?

The simple step to be saved is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

1. You must admit that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God:

It is important to admit that, no matter how perfect you may appear, there is a better way you can live life. There is a better version of you yet to be uncovered and discovered.

2. You must also admit that the wages of sin is death, but eternal life is a free gift of God through Jesus Christ.

3. You must admit that Jesus Christ is the propitiation for sin:

Jesus Christ is that man that God sent to redeem mankind from the repercussions of sin and disobedience.

It is as simple as that to be saved. Eternal life is a free gift from God. It is free because the Son of God gave Himself as a ransom for all. He died in your place that you might live forever. He is the son of God and the ransom for the sins of the whole world. He suffered that we might live. He is the Son of God who died and rose again.

Stay blessed, I love you!

I want to share with you the need to re-present Christ to your community and circle. The will of God is that all men will be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth; we are therefore appointed as agents to that effect. We are God’s agents to carry out this agenda. We are bought with a price and has committed to us the ministry and word of reconciliation.

Text

[Mark 5:15‭-‬20 KJV]And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine. And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts. And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him. Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.

Discussion

God is in Christ Jesus reconciling the world to Himself. He is busily seeking whom He might save and help. You are to go and preach the gospel and show your testimony. Your life must tell a story. Your life must show the goodness of the Lord very clearly.

In Mark 5, when the man of Gadara was healed, the Lord required of him to go and tell his story of how the Lord has had mercy on him to his friends and family. Every one of us has a testimony and story to tell. We must go out there and tell of the goodness and mercy of the Lord. We must show the world how God has been good to us and how He can be good to them all. This is His will and that is what God wants for all men everywhere.

It is important for each of us to ask whether the story of our lives reflects the nature of God. We must be sure that our life and choices glorify God and tell the story of salvation well. It is my prayer that you will be committed to re-present Christ to your community and circle. We are the light of the world – the world around us – we are called to shine to give light to those around us.

We are the hope of this generation, we cannot be broken. We must be strong to give light and fire to the world around us. This is the time to

  1. Catch the fire
  2. Stay where you are planted
  3. Be ablaze to give light and fire

Matthew 513-16 teaches that we are the light of the world, we are called to give light to the world around us. You must be ignited, planted, and be ablaze. Nobody can ignite you until you are ready to catch fire. You must decide to catch fire and to stay where you are planted if you want to make an impact with the light. No tree grows by replanting, porting and re-porting. You must stay where you are planted for impact.

Stay blessed; I love you

This City Can be Saved!

It is the wisdom of God to save the world by the preaching of the gospel. This city will be saved if you believe the gospel. Many shall be added to the church by you merely believing the gospel.Originally published at highcity.org

[Acts 2:41-42,47 KJV] “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. [42] And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. [47] Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved”.

I believe that God wants to save our city, and I can’t imagine anybody going to hell. We can be part of God’s program to save this city, and add unto the church such as ought to be saved. The simple secrets to have this city turn to God and be added to our fellowship are;

  1. Believe the gospel
  2. Be baptised, and
  3. Continue steadfastly in our fellowship,  doctrine, prayer, and breaking of bread.

The gospel is the power of God to save the world, and the preaching of the gospel is the dynamo that turns the wheels of salvation. It is the wisdom of God to save the world by the preaching of the gospel. This city will be saved if you believe the gospel. Many shall be added to the church by you merely believing the gospel. That is how the early became part of God’s program to save the city.

The anointing of the Holy Spirit is the next thing we need. You must strive for the Holy Spirit. In Acts 19, when apostle Paul found some disciples in Ephesus, his first question was, “have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed?” The baptism of the Holy Spirit is one of the most important experiences every man should have. When the world around you see the anointing on your life they will be saved.

Finally, nothing can save the world around us more than a changed life. When the people around you observe the change in your life and choices; as you continue in our fellowship and doctrine, prayer, and breaking of bread; they will have no option than to believe. What puts the world off the most is our hypocrisy. When we choose and live just like them, when the friends and family around us observe that we do not keep the fellowship and doctrine that we profess, they wonder why they should believe.

I pray that you will believe, be baptized, and continue steadfastly in fellowship and doctrine, prayer, and breaking bread. Nothing will stop us, this city shall be saved and added to us. Stay blessed!

I love you;

Why You Must Be a Soul Winner

Your luminance in the realms of the spirit is determined by how many people you turn to righteousness. Those who get involved in soul winning shine and shine brighter.Originally published at highcity.org

Soul winning is the act of turning an unbeliever from darkness to light.

[Acts 26:15-19 KJV] “And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. [16] But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; [17] Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, [18] To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. [19] Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:”

It is the art of persuading a non-believer to believe in God by believing His written word.

[Luke 24:44-46 KJV] “And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. [45] Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, [46] And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:”

It is persuading men everywhere to apply the truth of God’s word to their everyday life.

[John 8:31-34 KJV] “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; [32] And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. [33] They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? [34] Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin”.

So, why should you become a soul winner?

1. We are called to be soul winners:

Christ Jesus died for all, that those who live should not live unto themselves but unto He who died for them. We have the word and the ministry of reconciliation.

[2 Corinthians 5:15-20 KJV] “And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. [16] Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. [17] Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. [18] And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; [19] To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. [20] Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God”.

2. Those who turn many to righteousness shall shine as the stars:

Those who win souls shall shine as stars forever. There are many eternal rewards that await you when you get involved in soul winning. The Bible assures us that those who win souls shall shine as stars forever.

[Daniel 12:3 KJV] “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever”.

Your luminance in the realms of the spirit is determined by how many people you turn to righteousness. Those who get involved in soul winning shine and shine brighter.

3. When you convert a sinner, you have saved a soul from death;

Indeed, the soul that sins shall die; We must, therefore, be committed to turning sinners away from the Lake of Fire. please there is nothing as priceless as saving a soul from death.

[James 5:19-20 KJV] “Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; [20] Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

4. Those who reap and gather unto life eternal receives wages:

God rewards and blesses those who win souls. The harvest is ready and the fields are white; we can’t wait anymore. We must arise and get involved to tap the full wages and rewards of working in the field.

[John 4:34-38 KJV] “Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. [35] Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. [36] And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together. [37] And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth. [38] I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours”.

I pray that the Lord will give each of us the grace to become soul winners. I pray that you will feel the heartbeat of God for souls. None shall perish, the Lord shall sustain you and give us grace to press on. You shall not fail.

The harvest is ready and cannot wait anymore. The souls are dying and many are wailing. God is counting on us to bring in the harvest. We can not slack or wait anymore. We must arise and shake the nations with the gospel. We must reach the unreached with the power that saves those who believe. May the Lord bless you!

I love you;

That None Should Be Lost!

All you have got to do is believe Him and His prophets; and to know how to use and employ the things that are freely given to us to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.Originally published at highcity.org

[1 Timothy 2:1-12 KJV] “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; [2] For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. [3] For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; [4] Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. [5] For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; [6] Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time”.

[7] “Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity”.

[8] “I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. [9] In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; [10] But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. [11] Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. [12] But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence”.

Remember, there is a part of man that is eternal and immortal. That is the soul, that will live on either in eternal peace or damnation. Our focus is to save that part of us.

[Luke 12:4‭-‬5 KJV] “And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. [5] But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him”.

Now, the will of God is that none should perish. He loves you so much that He will do anything to liberate you from the demaging effects of sin, bondage, disease, debt, and brokenness. He has provided us with all things that will make total redemption possible.

John 3:16 tells us that God so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. God gave Himself as a ransom for all, to be testified in due season.

As if that was not enough, He also appointed the choicest of men to be preachers and heralds of this great news. These are gifts He gave to men, (See Ephesians 4:10-18) for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of ministry, and for the edifying of the body of Christ. These men are given as helpers of our joy. They don’t live our lives for us but help our joy (See 2 Cotinthians 1:24). He has appointed men to shepherd and pastor and succour us as we journey through this barren land to the promise.

God has also given us His Spirit to be our helper, teacher and seal unto the day of redemption. (See John 14:16, 26; 1John 2:27; Ephesians 1:13-14; Ephesians 4:30) God has given us helpers to make the journey easier if we depend on them.

According to 2 Peter1:1-4, God’s divine power has given us all things that pertains to life and godliness. He has give us all things. He has given us marriage, health, wealth, peace, joy, powers, promises, etc.

Above all, He has given us a promise that He will, by the same Jesus, give us all things. Romans 8:32 teaches that if God did not spare His own son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not, with Him, also freely give us all things. He has promised to freely give us anything by that same Jesus.

All you have got to do is believe Him and His prophets; and to know how to use and employ the things that are freely given to us to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. This is all we have been doing, teaching you how to deploy what God has given you, for the effectual working of your own salvation. You will not be stranded or broke. God shall provide all things and He shall see you through.

To be able to work out your salvation with fear and trembling; and to be part of the ministry of reconciliation:

  1. Men must pray everywhere lifting up holy hands without doubting or wrath
  2. Women should dress with modesty and shamefacedness; and to be in subjection.

So, the three simple things that helps us are prayer, branding, and subjection. Stay blessed!

I love you;

What Does It Mean to Serve the Lord?

We must purpose, pray, plan, pull resources, publicise, obtain permit, and step out to preach. The good news must be preached and the truth must be told.Originally published at highcity.org

[John 4:34 KJV] “Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work”.

There are so many people who truly desire to serve the Lord but are confused as to what it means to serve the Lord. Many of the time we are just exhorted to serve the Lord; often our exhorters don’t take time to teach us what it means to serve the Lord.

To serve the Lord is to;

1. Do the will of God:

The will of God is that all men shall be saved and come to the knowledge of the the truth. The Bible tells us this truth in 2 Timothy 2:1-8; this is the will of God. Therefore , any series of actions that leads to the saving of men and bringing them to the knowledge of the truth is service to God. To serve the Lord is to engage in series of activities which lead to the salvation of men and bringing them to the knowledge of the truth; the truth about God, life, faith, dominion, fruitfulness and all that pertains to godliness.

2. Finish His work:

The work of God is to sow, reap, and gather unto life eternal. The real work involved in working for God includes preaching the gospel, winning souls, and establishing them in the faith or the kingdom.

We must purpose, pray, plan, pull resources, publicise, obtain permit, and step out to preach. The good news must be preached and the truth must be told.

We must look for meeting places, witness, set up meetings, invite and follow up many, and hold meetings to inspire and consolidate the faith of many.

This is the will and work of God. This is what it means to serve the Lord. If you work in a hospital with the sole aim of bringing people to the knowledge of the truth and for the salvation of their souls, then you are serving the Lord. This is the time and season to work and serve the Lord. Let us be decided and quit ourselves as men to serve the Lord in the coming days.

Be blessed, I love you;

Work Out Your own Salvation

It is time to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. You cannot do it any how. You must be diligent about it. Let us be careful, lest we fall short of the grace.Originally published at highcity.org

[Philippians 2:12-16 KJV] “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. [13] For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. [14] Do all things without murmurings and disputings: [15] That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; [16] Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

I want to exhort you today to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Salvation, from the Greek word ‘sozo’, means to save, heal, liberate, protect and to make whole. The Apostle is therefore exhorting us to work out our own salvation, healing, liberation, and protection with fear and trembling. That is to say, work it with carefulness; with all carefulness, work it out, so you don’t fail.

The apostle is saying “work out..” because salvation is instantaneous, continuous, and in the future.

You were saved the moment you heard, admitted, believed, and confessed the truth. (See Roman 10:9-13)

[Ephesians 2:8 KJV] “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:”

Now, we are being saved, and we shall be saved when the Lord shall come. That will be the climax and perfection of salvation.

[Romans 13:11 KJV] “And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed”.

It is time to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. You cannot do it any how. You must be diligent about it. Let us be careful, lest we fall short of the grace.

[Hebrews 12:15‭-‬16 KJV] “Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; [16] Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright”.

I will therefore share with you five simple keys to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling after you hear the gospel, admit, believe, and confess the truth; get baptized and added to the church.

So, after getting born again, how do you work out your own salvation with fear and trembling?

1. Prayer without ceasing:
Pray daily. Just remember to pray because your life depends on prayer. Prayer strengthen your connection with heaven (See 1 Thessalonians 5:17)

2. Fellowship:
Don’t forsake the assembling together of yourselves. Fellowship strengthens your connection with the brethren and with the body (See Hebrews 10:25)

3. Reach out:
The gospel must not end with you. You must reach out to the poor, sick, lost, naked, hungry, homeless, prisoner and the destitute. Reach out to the streets and lanes, to the highways and hedges, to the maimed and halt. We must share both the good news and the goodness of the Lord with our fellow humans. This strengthens our connection with the lost world. It is our ministry and responsibility to reach out with the love of God.

4. Walk in the way by the truth and the life:
Continue in the faith; we need to go through many tribulation to enter the kingdom. Your faith is for mountains and challenges. You must continue in the faith. Don’t give up when challenges come. Let us press on and we shall win.

5. Look for the appearing and the second coming of the Lord:
Hebrews 9:27 teaches that, “as it is appointed unto man once to die and after death judgement; so shall Christ Jesus appear unto them that look for his second coming without sin”. Jesus Christ is coming again. He is coming quickly but those who look for His appearing and second coming shall be raptured.

This is the day and the opportune time to work out your own salvation. While you go about your dreams and visions, don’t forget to keep these five truth as a catalyst to life. These five keys are catalysts and you need them to accelerate growth, dominion, and prosperity.

#6. Fear;

Fear is a deadly device. Don’t believe every thing you see. Learn to release your faith against fear. Learn to change your own thoughts.

Pray and release your faith against any dart of fear and doubt.

We rebuke any false expressions appearing real in our lives. I shall not be afraid any more. We are no longer slaves to fear. We are inheriting boldness. We are rising above the storm.

#7. Accusation;

Accusation is an age long device against the people of God but we can root it out today.

Now we wage war against accusation. We condemn every tongue that rises against us in accusation and condemnation. We rebuke any person trying to misrepresent our thoughts or our person. We purge ourselves of reproach.

Amen!

Stay blessed; I love you!

Some Things are Impossible with Men

Jesus Christ is the only way, the truth and the life. There is nothing a man can do to inherit etrnal life except to trust Jesus Christ.Originally published at highcity.org

[Mark 10:17-27 KJV] “And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? [18] And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is , God. [19] Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother. [20] And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth. [21] Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. [22] And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions. [23] And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! [24] And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God! [25] It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. [26] And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved? [27] And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

One day a young rich ruler came to Jesus and asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”; then Jesus said “go and keep the law”. If you really want to do something to inherit eternal life, then go and keep the law. The young man said “I have kept the law from my childhood”; then Jesus said “really?”.” Well said then” “you have been rich all this while and other have been poor, so go sell all that you have, give to the poor and come and follow me”. The Bible says the young ruler went away very sad because he had a lot of goods.

What is the moral lesson of this story? Simple! There is nothing a man can do to inherit eternal life. Even the things that must be done is impossible to fulfil. Eternal life therefore is a free gift from God to all who believe and trust Jesus Christ to pay for their sins. Death is a reward for sin but eternal life is a free gift from God.

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”. [Romans 6:23 KJV]

It is impossible for any man to inherit eternal life except with God.

  • With God all things are possible
  • With God all men can be saved
  • With God nothing is impossible.

If God can make a camel go through the eye of a needle, then there is nothing we seek from Him that He cannot do. God can do all things. Nothing is impossible with God. Until you allow God to come in, somethings will remain impossible. So many things can only happen when God is allowed to take the centre stage. You will see God at work in your life and making things possible when you learn to trust Him.

Eternal life for instance, is a free gift from God, that comes through trusting Jesus Christ to pay for your sins. Jesus Christ is our only connection to the grace that saves. Jesus Christ is the only way, the truth and the life. There is nothing a man can do to inherit eternal life except to trust Jesus Christ.

Be blessed

Enough is Enough! – Jesus Christ is the Same Yesterday, Today, and Forever

Whatever you have read or heard that Jesus Christ ever did for anyone can be done for you also, because He is willing to do it for you. He is faithful.Originally published at highcity.org

[Hebrews 13:7‭-‬9 KJV] “Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation. Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever. Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein”.

Enough is enough! Why should you continue to walk in affliction, bondage, captivity, and deception, when you can have a genuine encounter with the same Jesus Christ who healed the sick, set the captives free, raised the dead, and saved the lost? Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever! He never changes, and He will never change. He will remain the same.

Whatever you have read or heard that Jesus Christ ever did for anyone can be done for you also, because He is willing to do it for you. He is faithful.

Testimony;

I had an encounter with the grace of God upon, the Servant of God, Rev. Simpe Bediako in 1999, when my heart was failing. I was sick from a terminal heart condition, but after an encounter with the power of God through the preach of the word of faith which I heard, I am completely healed up till today. “If the Son therefore shall set you free you shall be free indeed!” – George D.

Glory to God! Jesus Christ is in the same business of saving, healing, and setting the captives free. You can encounter the same power now by these simple steps;

  1. Admit that you need help and only Jesus can help.
  2. Believe that Jesus Christ is able and willing to help you right now.
  3. Confess Him as the Lord of your life.
  4. Continue steadfastly with us.

These are the four simple steps to a higher life. The simple steps to a life that is heavenly and free from oppression.

Be blessed; I love you!
