I want to discuss in this post how to excel at your career as a child of God?

[2 Thessalonians 3:6‭-‬15 KJV] “Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.”

“For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you; Neither did we eat any man’s bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:”

“Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us. For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat”

“For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread. But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.”

“And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.”

It is a disorderly behaviour to not work. Every one of us must either be in training or working.

One of the main doctrines we believe and hold dear as a church is a need for every one of us to find and hold a job. We believe that every one of God’s precious children must have a job, occupation, or business. None should be unemployed!

You must not even keep company with those who do not work. If you have friends who do not work, you must cut ties with them. You should not see them as enemies but you must cut ties with them.

It is a disorderly behaviour to not work. Every one of us must either be in training or working. That is the doctrine of the New Testament.

Therefore;

  1. As we lift the Holy oil of God, we are declaring success in the area of work, career, occupation, job, and business.
  2. As we lift the oil and our voices to pray, we wage war against anything that tries to fight you in the area of work.
  3. As we lift the oil, we release the grace of God upon you. We declare that the grace and blessings of God will come upon you for excellence and sustenance in the area of work.
  4. As we lift the oil receive patronage and speed in the things you do in the area of work.
  5. You will become a problem solver. Your presence at your workplace will turn to more. You will make an impact in the area of work.

If you are a student or apprentice, your work is studying and polishing up. You will excel and not fail! May the Lord be your helper from this moment forward.

We know that it is appointed unto man once to die and after death, the judgment; but while we wait, we must earn both a living and a giving; to live an honest life towards them that are without.

Every one of us must find a job or in training to get a job. You must either be in training or working. None should be idle; this is how we can reach the Lost.

[Ephesians 4:28 KJV] “Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.”

How to Excel at Your Career

There are three main ways to find something to do;

  1. To start your own business if you have the skill, capital, and the tenacity to press on
  2. To find a job as an employee or
  3. To invest your capital into some venture that is already working

Whichever way you choose to employ yourself must yield the dividends that will help you to live an honest life.

We train, work, retrain, and exert labour daily; so that we can

  1. Earn both a living and a giving. We work to be able to support both our households and the weak among us and the mission.
  2. Live an honest life towards them that are without. Men who don’t work mainly lie or steal; women who don’t work sleep around and gossip. We must all find a job or something to occupy us.
  3. Support the outreach effort of the church. We work to be able to finance the ministry of reconciliation to preach the word of reconciliation.

In any case, whatever endeavour that engages you, full time or part-time, you must know;

  1. Your job title
  2. Your job description
  3. Your appraisal benchmarks
  4. Your entitlements; the workman is worthy of his wages. You must have wages and entitlements.
  5. Your duty post
  6. Your line of reporting and taking instruction
  7. The code of conduct and ethics of your appointment

These are key things that will help you to function effectively and efficiently.

Remember to;

1. Obey your superiors in all things with singleness of heart and not as men-pleasers but as those who fear God.

2. Do whatever you do heartily; God will bless you.

[Colossians 3:22‭-‬24 KJV] “Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God: And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.”

I pray that none shall be idle!

Let us pray that anything challenging anyone of us in the area of work will be dominated and subdued now!

Let us pray that as many as are seeking jobs shall be favoured before this month ends!

Let us pray that each of us will see an increase and prosperity in all that we do.

Stay blessed!

5 Steps to the Expected End

Hear me! I came to announce to you that all that God expects of you is for you to turn away from dead works, from darkness, and from the power of satan; to the light and to Him; so that He will forgive and give you an inheritance among those who believe and are sanctified by faith. I have no doubt that God wants to bless and bring us to an expected end.

[Acts 26:18 KJV] “To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.”

God wants us to build good houses and dwell in them, plant gardens and eat the fruits, marry wives and give birth to children, and seek the peace of cities we dwell in. (See Jeremiah 29:1-14)

There are two facts that we must remember:

Firstly, the prophet said “marry wives and give birth to children.” That is to say that it is the men who seek and marry wives, the sisters must prepare and wait patiently.

The second thing to note is this: building a house and dwelling in it, marrying a wife and giving birth, planting gardens and eating its fruits, and seeking the peace of the city you live in are NOT the expected end. The expected end is something far higher than these. Remember that houses, family, supply, and peace are not the end that God promised. Some of us seek these things as if it is the end that God promised.

Honestly, the expected end God promised is the inheritance among them that are sanctified. (See John 14:1). We must become like Abraham, who sought a city whose builder and designer is God. It is true that God will bless us with good houses, good wives, good gardens, and good cities, but our focus and aspirations must be to walk and dwell in the city designed and built by God.

So, five simple hints that will help you to walk into that expected end are;

  1. Love the truth; recieve the word with gladness
  2. Don’t forsake the assembling of yourselves together
  3. Endeavour to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace
  4. Strive to reach out and do good by the anointing of the Spirit and power
  5. Commit your valuable lessons to faithful men who will teach others.
God’s promised expected end is to give you an inheritance among those who are sanctified!

Love the truth; recieve the word with gladness

Those who reject the truth get decieved; they get decieved by decieveable and lying signs. Your only safety is guaranteed by loving the truth and recieving the word with gladness.

Stolen waters is sweet but only the truth can save and liberate. The bread of deceit is sweet but in the end your mouth shall be filled with gravels. Let us learn to receive the truth, no matter how bitter it may taste.

Don’t forsake the assembling of yourselves together.

Hebrews 10:25 teaches us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together.

The assembly of the saints is the presence of God; where two or three are gathered in His name, He is there.

The assembly of the saints is the house of prayer; His house shall be called the house of prayer for all nations.

The assembly of the saints is the grounds and pillar of truth.

The assembly of the saints is the church of the living God, mount Zion where there is deliverance and holiness and possessing of possessions.

Endeavour to keep the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace

We can see in Ephesians 4:1-16 that we ought to strive to keep the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace. We should give up anti social behaviours and strive to keep the unity of the Spirit. We should strive to walk in the bond of peace. The Lord’s prayer for us is that we will be one, as He is one with the Father. That is how the world will know that we are His disciples.

Strive to reach out and do good by the anointing of the spirit and power

One man of God said “the best sermons are both heard and seen.” We must not only preach and teach others, we must also show what we teach and believe. Our Lord Jesus did not only teach, but also showed the glad tidings of the kingdom of God. If we don’t demonstrate the gospel, people cannot believe what we preach.

Let us learn from the Lord and reach out to do good by the anointing of the Spirit and power. (See Acts 10:38)

There are many people who are broken and maimed and halt; let us strive to reach out and do good.

Commit your your valuable lessons to faithful men who will teach others.

The Bible teaches us not to cast our pearls before swine. Some people only deserve crumps and left overs. Learn the wisdom of committing your valuable things only to faithful men who will teach others (See 2 Timothy 2:2).

If you really want to make it to the expected end, then recieve the truth with gladness always, honour the assembling of ourselves, endeavour to keep the unity of the spirit by the bond of peace, reach out to do good by the anointing, and above all commit your most valuable lessons to faithful men who will teach others.

I love you, stay blessed!

Spreading Through Prosperity

I pray that the Lord shall prosper you and cause you to advance and spread outOriginally published at highcity.org

[Zechariah 1:16-21 KJV] “Therefore thus saith the Lord ; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the Lord of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem. [17] Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the Lord shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem”.

[18] “Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four horns. [19] And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What be these? And he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem. [20] And the Lord shewed me four carpenters. [21] Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it”.

HighCity! This is your time and your season. The Lord is returning to build us again. We shall spread through prosperity, says the word of the Lord. But that notwithstanding, there are horns and barriers that are trying to stop you from rising and spreading through prosperity. If we are really determined to spread through prosperity, then we must arise and break down those barriers.

Therefore, I want to speak to you today about breaking those barriers. This is because many of us are not advancing or moving forward or developing because of barriers. There are so many things stopping us from reaching our full potential both in society and in the church and in career. We, therefore, want to understand how to break these barriers and advance to the next level.

A barrier is anything that restricts or prevents movement. It could prevent people from doing something or limit what they can do. Barriers include, but not limited to;

  1. Economic and financial barriers
  2. Psycho-social barriers
  3. Cultural and systemic barriers
  4. Knowledge gaps
  5. Environmental barriers
  6. Spiritual barriers

1. Economic and financial barriers.

There are many of us who have a desire to rise to the next level but are unable because of financial bottlenecks. Poverty and inadequate supply of resources have stopped more people in many parts of the world than devils.

2. Psycho-social barriers:

These include barriers which take the forme of mindsets, attitudes, language, norms and beliefs, or customs and policies. We know that “as a man thinks in his heart so is he” (Proverbs 23:7). The mind is one of the major barriers stopping many people. As a matter of fact, the easiest way to help and transform a person is to change the way he or she thinks.

Sometimes, people think devils are stopping them, when in actual fact what is stopping them is their own mouths, attitudes, mindsets, habits, and beliefs. Our understanding, speech and thought patterns play a key role in how far we can reach in life. The man at the pool of Bethesda laid there for so long because of his faulty mindset. Naaman nearly lost his miracle because of his mindset. I pray that you will renew your mind and think more soberly.

3. Cultural and systemic barrier.

There are times when what is stopping you is in the environment. This is when the very system under which you are operating does not encourage innovation and advancement. One major thing Christianity has brought to our nations is to demolish these systemic and cultural barriers.

The doctrine of Christ specifically destroys the traditions of men that burden people. “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty” (2 Corinthians 3:17). Christ came for the liberation of mankind, to undo the heavy burdens imposed on us by the traditions and customs of men.

Some classes of people that the gospel came to liberate are women, gentiles, slaves, and minorities. Before the Christ doctrine, such groups like women, gentiles, and slaves did not have any rights and privileges. It is the doctrine of Christ that taught us on equality and rights of workmen and women.

4. Knowledge gaps:

For the lack of knowledge, even the people selected by God perish. What we don’t know keeps us in perpetual captivity. We must be desirous of knowledge. Apostle Paul told Timothy that “till I come give attendance to reading, to exhortation, and to doctrine”. Knowledge is the power that leads to exploits. What you dont know and refuse to learn is your undoing! We must strive to learn. Many of us are not doing well because of what we don’t know.

5. Environmental barriers.

There are times when many of us are not advancing because of the lack of infrastructure. Many disabled people cannot attend many schools because we have not considered them in our school culture and teaching system.

The lack of roads and access, the absence of the right structures limit how far many of us can go. This is one of the barriers we must be committed to breaking if we really want to advance faster.

The truth is until we arise to build our own environment, we will always travel outside to build other nations. Remember, the grass is not greener on the other side; the grass is greener where it is watered. Arise and let us build our own homes and churches.

Governments in Africa complain about brain drain, and the citizenry complains about bad systems. The real problem is that we are not building our nations. We are rather travelling abroad to build foreign nations. I pray that we shall arise to build our environment to enable us to retain the young people that grow in the church.

6. Spiritual barriers:

The last but not the least is spiritual barriers. I mention this last because we are all well aware of this barrier. Satan hinders and sets up barriers to restrict many. Many of us are not spreading through prosperity because the devil is stopping us with spiritual barriers.

I pray that you shall arise with me and we shall advance to demolish and break these barriers. We shall spread as a church through prosperity. I pray that the Lord shall prosper you and cause you to advance and spread out. Let us pray, plan, prepare, and step out to fulfil our divine purposes.

Be blessed, I love you!

Prospering by the Blessing

It is one thing to be blessed but it is another level altogether to prosper with that blessing.Originally published at highcity.org

Many are blessed but are still struggling. It is one thing to be blessed but it is another level altogether to prosper with that blessing. Our study character is one person who prospered with the blessing. Jacob inherited the blessing and prospered with it. He had the blessing of the Lord that added no sorrow.

Jacob prospered with the blessing because of the following;

1. He had a coach:

2. He was a not afraid of the drama or the presence of enemies:

Many people are afraid of drama and the presence of enemies.

3. He married the right kind of woman:

Marrying or relating with the wrong kind of people could cost you prospering by the blessing.

4. He was not laid back and lazy:

Many believers of today are too laid back and not hard working

5. He did not take the grace of God for granted:

It is typical of today’s believers to take the grace and the love of God for granted

6. He fought back and did not make excuses:

We cannot prosper by the blessing if we give too many excuses and don’t fight through.

Stay blessed; I love you!

Why You Must Prosper and Be in Health

Whether you give to the kingdom or not you can survive, you can survive from hand to mouth, or amass wealth by deceit and bloodshed, but true riches only comes to the faithful.Originally published at highcity.org

I want to exhort you on 3 John 1:1-3. I want to teach you that the desire of every pastor, apostle, prophet is for his children to walk in the truth and support missions and ministry; to be in health and prosper, even as their souls prosper.

Text

[3 John 1:1‭-‬4 KJV] “The elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth. [2] Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. [3] For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. [4] I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth”.

Discussion

This is because, it is not enough to be born again; after you get born again, you must be called into the ministry of reconciliation and entrusted with the word of reconciliation. In every generation, God needs a voice and you are that voice. You are the voice that must cry in the street and call the nations to repentance and faith. You are the voice in your office and home, and among your brethren to call them to repentance and faith.

Now every pastor, apostle, prophet, evangelist and teacher wants the children of God gives him to walk in the truth, in his gospel, be in health, and prosper, even as their souls prosper. This is because it takes strength and costs money to fully discharge the ministry of reconciliation that we have received from the Lord (See Luke 8:1-4).

At a point, Jesus stepped out of the church and began to travel with His church to preach the gospel to other cities and villages. The Bible, however, tells us that when He stepped out, His twelve — His pastors and deacons — went with Him, and certain women followed and ministered their substance. That is why God wants you to be in health and prosper even as your soul prospers.

Remember, that healing is your bread, but prosperity is a covenant. Daily provision is for every man but true riches is for the faithful. Whether you give to the kingdom or not you can survive, you can survive from hand to mouth, or amass wealth by deceit and bloodshed, but true riches only comes to the faithful. You must now make a decision to give your strength and money to the mission and ministry. Your giving fulfils your covenant with God and opens Heaven over you.

Stay blessed; I love you!

Wisdom to Escape Foolish Lusts and Many Sorrows

Even though many rich people will make heaven, many who have a quest to be rich will miss heavenOriginally published at highcity.org

Wisdom to Escape Foolish Lusts and Many Sorrows[1 Timothy 6:6-16]But godliness with contentment is great gain.
(7)  For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
(8)  And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
(9)  But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
(10)  For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
(11)  But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
(12)  Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
(13)  I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;
(14)  That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
(15)  Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
(16)  Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen”.

The Bible is teaching us that a devout life does not bring wealth, but since we brought nothing into this world and can surely take nothing out, let us be content with whatever we have if we have enough to eat and something to wear.

Don’t let the junk messages of many pulpit pimps turn you away from Christ to greed and indulgence. Many who live in these times will miss the rapture and may miss heaven, because they are too busy running after things. Even though many rich people will make heaven, many who have a quest to be rich will miss heaven. There is a big difference between being rich and desiring to be rich.

The Bible tells us that those who have a quest to be rich shall fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. The quest to be rich has a blinding effect. Indeed those who covet after money and love money shall err from the faith, and pierce themselves through with many sorrows.

Apostle Paul is teaching that, those who have decided to serve God, and want to be without rebuke at the appearing of the Lord, should do the following;

  1. Flee the love of money
  2. Follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
  3. Fight the good fight of faith, and lay hold on eternal life.

He is in no wise suggesting that we should take an oath of poverty, but he is warning us against the dangers of desiring to be rich and pursuing success and wealth. I can assure you that the word of God is true and any attempt to pursue wealth, riches, money, and success will result in hurts and many sorrows. I believe that we should focus on living godly with contentment. We brought nothing into this world and we can take nothing out. I believe that if a servant of God should be content if he can afford;

  1. A descent accommodation
  2. A descent means of transport
  3. Descent food, clothes, healthcare, and education for his household;

A devout life may not bring riches, but it will save you from foolish and hurtful lust, and many sorrows. You may not drive a luxurious car, live in a mansion, or afford elite school for your children, or fly priority; but you will escape many sorrows.

Beloved, do not be fooled by the display of affluence and indulgence you see. Live godly and be content with your life. Rather, be a good steward of the blessing of God. Be diligent with the doors that the Lord opens for you. You will never regret keeping this wisdom. It will be great to have a mega-church, but dear pastor, be content with where you are now, while you pursue greater heights in God.

Stay Blessed

How to Prosper and Be in Health

There are many in these last days who suppose that gain is godliness. I pray that each of us would rather determine to walk in the truth than to be rich.Originally published at highcity.org

[3 John 1:1-7 KJV] “The elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth. [2] Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. [3] For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. [4] I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. [5] Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers; [6] Which have borne witness of thy charity before the church: whom if thou bring forward on their journey after a godly sort, thou shalt do well: [7] Because that for his name’s sake they went forth, taking nothing of the Gentiles”.

In 3 John 1:2, it is the desire of the apostle John that we would prosper and be in health even as our souls prosper. It is important to state clearly that this desire will only remain a wish, until we arise to engage with the truth.

1. The first secret to prosperity and health is to walk in the truth:

There are many in these last days who suppose that gain is godliness. I pray that each of us would rather determine to walk in the truth than to be rich. The greatest joy of every pastor is to find his church members walking in the truth. Proverbs 4:21-22 teaches that the word of God is health and healing to the naval, bone, and marrow of those who find it. The word of God heals and is a source of health.

2. The second secret is to be faithful at whatever your hands have found

Faithfulness and loyalty is the secret to true riches, to your own business, and much more. The apostle admonished the church to do whatever they do faithfully. The Bible tells us that he that is faithful in little shall be trusted with much; he that is faithful in that which is another man’s shall be trusted with his own; and he that is faithful with unholy mammon shall be trusted with true riches.

3. The third secret is to work hard;

Hard work pays, especially when you work with wisdom and skill. The Bible tells us that whatsoever our hands have found to do, we should do it with all of our might. The harder we work with wisdom under the grace, the greater the profit.

4. The fourth is to trade value for value:

When the master was traveling, he said, occupy till I come. And the Bible says, they traded with the capital. Money answers all things under heaven.

[Ecclesiastes 10:19 KJV] “A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things” .

It is important to trade value for value.

5. The fifth secret is to plan your spending:

Be frugal with money. Those who create wealth are frugal with their resources. Frugality is the master word. The riotous eater of flesh and wine bibber, and a friend of a harlot is a great waster.

[Proverbs 23:20-21 KJV] “Be not among winebibbers; among riotous eaters of flesh: [21] For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags”.

They shall come to poverty, all that love oil and perfume.

[Proverbs 21:17 KJV] “He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich”.

Frugality is the secret to prosperity and increase.

6. The sixth secret is to bring your tithes and offerings into the storehouse of God:

Tithing is a spiritual thing. It is that act of worship that;

  1. Moves God to open the heavens.
  2. Moves God to rebuke the devourer that scatter our fruits.
  3. Moves nations to favour us and call us a delightsome nation. (Malachi 3:10‭-‬12)

A tithe is a tenth of your increase. It is an act of worship and an acknowledgement that God is partner with you in your finances and in your career. We tithe to acknowledge that God is the source of our increase, and our helper. Tithing is part of worship. We don’t tithe in fulfilment of any law, but as an act of worship; and God blesses us as a result.

Under the New Testament, we are redeemed from the curse of the law but not from the wisdom it teaches. The fact that I am redeemed from the curse of the law does not mean I should have sex with my father’s wife. We have been redeemed from the curse of the law, but we must walk in the steps of faith of our father Abraham.

“And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised”. [Romans 4:12 KJV]

The apostle was exhorting Gaius to give to the missionaries and support the work of God. It is my prayer that God will rebuke the devourers. I pray for everyone of you, that you will prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers. I pray that all those that walk in the truth shall do well. May God be your defence and help. Be blessed!

I love you;

How to be Established in Prosperity

It is my prayer that you shall believe God and believe His prophets. That is the secret to prosperity and establishmentOriginally published at highcity.org

The simple secret to be established in prosperity is to believe God and his prophets. One day, I called someone to go on missions and the persons said, “let me pray about it”. Then I asked the person, would you still have prayed about it of you saw and heard the Lord Jesus speaking to you personally? Then the person, “if Jesus Christ comes now and tells me to go, I will.” Then, I understood why this person was neither established nor prosperous.

[2 Chronicles 20:20 KJV] “And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper”.

In Genesis 49:1-2, the man of God called his children together and told them what shall befall them in the last days. The destiny and prosperity of the children of Israel were going to be impacted significantly by these prophecies.

On the new years eve, I called you together and told you five things that you should beware of if you want to finish this year well on the Hill. Many of us have forgotten these prophetic cautions, and have started falling prey to the devices of the wicked.

I warned you by the Spirit of the Lord that none of us can make without the grace and truth that flows through the word that is made flesh (See John 1:14)

So, I told you not to forsake the assembling together of ourselves, and be very careful about how you behave when you come to church. The word of God encourages us in Hebrews 10:25 not to forsake the assembling together of ourselves as some are in the habit of doing. Anytime we come to the house of the Lord, we must remember that it belongs to the Lord. In Mark 11:17, the Lord tells us that His house is a House of Prayer and not a den of thieves. Above it all, this house, according to Obadiah 1:17, is a mountain of holiness, possessing of possession, and deliverance.

I also told you to take heed that an evil heart of unbelief enters not into any of us in departing from the Lord. There are times when people are following the Lord, but their hearts are far from Him. The apostle admonished us in Hebrews 3:12.

We also learned that, when riches increase, we should not trust in uncertain riches but in God who gives us all things to enjoy freely.

It is my prayer that you shall believe God and believe His prophets. That is the secret to prosperity and establishment. Stay blessed!

I love you;

The Supernatural Laws of Increase

When it come to riches that comes from the blessing of the Lord, it is spiritual. It is God Who rewards, and God cannot be mocked.Originally published at highcity.org

[Luke 6:27-38 KJV] “But I say unto you which hear,

Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, [28] Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. [29] And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also. [30] Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.

[31] And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

[32] For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them. [33] And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. [34] And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again. [35] But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. [36] Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

[37] Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: [38] Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again”.

Today, we will be exploring the supernatural laws of increase. I believe that God wants us to prosper, for a comfortable life and for kingdom expansion. Your prosperity must be a channel for kingdom finance. Don’t sit for anyone to chase you, you must be willing to give and sacrifice. The secrets behind increase and prosperity is spiritual. There are laws that lead to abundance and increase. Remember that not every increase is good, some growths are cancerous. When it come to riches that comes from the blessing of the Lord, it is spiritual. It is God Who rewards, and God cannot be mocked. If you think you are too smart and will not give, indeed, you are too dull to recieve. There are spiritual conditions and keys that opens the door to greatness and change. Let us discuss a few;

1. The first is equity:

God is a God of equity, so whatever you give is what determines what you recieve. It is therefore important to give without conditions. People don’t have to meet any conditions before you give to them. Just give because you believe it is more blessed to give than to recieve. Those who give recieve. “A liberal soul shall be made fat”. “If you sow sparingly, you reap sparing; if you sow bountifully, you reap bountifully”. God is a God of equity!

2. Let it should start with you;

You should be the first to start what you want to see. If you want to live in a world of love, don’t wait to be loved, just begin to love, and other will learn and love; if you want people to come to church on time, start coming on time, others will learn. Start the cycle that you want to see. Don’t wait for someone to start, you start. You have the revelation, so act on it.

3. Expect your returns from God:

Giving is not a lottery, give without expecting anything back from those you gave to. Many of the times, they will be ungrateful and pay you back with evil. When you give, give to God, and He will cause men to give back to your.

It is God who will cause men to give back to you. Those you give to, may not necessarily give back to you. Most people are ungrateful, but once you give, God will cause others to give to you. You must give expecting to recieve a good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over; but most often your returns will not come from those you gave to. Many people are ungrateful, so don’t expect much from those you gave to; you should rather expect to recieve from the men, God is sending to pour upon your laps.

4. You will reap in kind;

What you sow, determines what you reap. What are you sowing, if you sow oranges, you reap oranges. You reap the kind of what you have sown. If you sow goodness, you reap goodness; if you sow wickedness, you reap wicked. God cannot be mocked, whatever a man sows, that shall He reap. If you give your time, you will reap in kind; if you give your strength, you will reap in kind. You will reap what you sow. If you invest time into quiet time, you reap in terms of anointing. You will always reap in kind. If you spend time watching porn, you reap. Lust and bondage.

Many are not increasing because they lack the spiritual understanding to increase. They give as if they are giving to the pastor. Well you are not giving to the person who receives your gift, you are giving to God, who will reward you openly.

I pray for you to catch the anointing and grace of giving. May the Lord help you and may you never miss your blessings. Be blessed!

I love you;

Beware of Coveteousness, Build Value into Your Name

It is useless to amass wealth by covetousness. We brought nothing into the world and it is certain that we can take nothing out.Originally published at highcity.org

[Luke 12:15 KJV] “And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth”.

One day, a man requested that the Lord should talk to his brother to divider his inheritance with him. The Lord was smart to know that he was neither a judge nor divider over them. He however warned the company to be ware of covetousness; because a man’s life does not consist of the abundance of things he owns.

Inasmuch as the Bible tells us that a rich man’s wealth is his ransom, money does not save, nor does it add value to your life. The Bible does not frown on working hard for money, rather, it frowns on building wealth through covetousness. Like the love of money, what is really evil is covetousness. The Lord warns us to beware of covetousness.

In the ensuing parable after this verse, the Lord Jesus teaches the need to build value into our name. He exhorts us to build for ourselves money bags that do not wax old.

The simple reason to beware of covetousness, is the fact that a man’s life does not consist of the abundance of things he has. You must know the following truths:

1. When God demands for your life, the only thing you can take out is your soul:

You brought nothing into this world and surely you can take nothing out. Whatever you acquire here shall be left for another. Why then should you scramble for things through covetousness.

[Luke 12:16-21 KJV] “And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: [17] And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? [18] And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. [19] And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. [20] But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? [21] So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God”.

2. The second truth is the fact that life is more than food or clothes:

The same God who feeds the ravens shall feed you. The same God who clothes the lilies shall cloth you. Take no thought of what to eat or to be clothed. We must focus on seeking the kingdom; we must not seek wealth cloths and food and all the things the nations are running after.

[Luke 12:22-31 KJV] “And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. [23] The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment”.

[24] “Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? [25] And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? [26] If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?”

[27] “Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. [28] If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?”

[29] “And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. [30] For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. [31] But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you”.

3. The third truth is, it is better to sell what you have and build value into your name and destiny by solving problems, than to amass wealth:

Whether we like it or not, whether we live or die, the Lord shall return, and this earth will melt with heat and the heavens will roll like a mat. The only thing a man can take out is what he has built in his heavenly account or vault. We may look silly for now until the earth begins to melt and the heavens roll like a mat when the seals are broken.

[Luke 12:32-40 KJV] “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. [33] Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth. [34] For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also”.

[35] “Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning; [36] And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately. [37] Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. [38] And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants”.

[39] “And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through. [40] Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not”.

It is useless to amass wealth by covetousness. We brought nothing into the world and it is certain that we can take nothing out. Stay blessed!

I love you;
