Serving the Lord; Every Member a Missionary.

Every member of the body of Christ is called to be a missionary to the world around us. We have been given the ministry and the word of reconciliation. Originally published at highcity.org

[2 Corinthians 5:13-21 KJV] “For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause. [14] For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: [15] And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. [16] Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. [17] Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. [18] And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; [19] To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. [20] Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. [21] For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him”.

The Bible tells us that one died for all that all will live for the one who died for them. We are called to live for Christ and not for ourselves. Every member of the body of Christ is called to be a missionary to the world around us. We have been given the ministry and the word of reconciliation. We are called to serve Christ in missions.

To serve well in missions;

  1. Believe on he whom the Father has sent
  2. Worship the Lord in Spirit and in truth
  3. Come into His presence with singing to every appointed meeting
  4. Go into the world and preach the gospel, baptise converts, and teach the church
  5. Reach out to the fatherless, widows and the less privileged.

These are my simple tips to serve in missions or as a missionary in everyday life. May the Lord help us to simplify our lives and serve the Lord in everyday life.

It is important to;

  1. Dress well
  2. Put away childish things
  3. Work with your hands
  4. Pursue somthing:
  5. what can I do, how do I do it, what do I need, how do I get it, and I must run with might.
  6. Be open to all possibilities: hope for the best, plan for the worst, and in all things give thanks.

There is wisdom that will guide you through the season.

Believe on the son of the living God (John 1:12)

  1. Desire and relax in the presence of the living God (Psalm 84:2)
  2. Obeserve all church protocols (1 Timothy 3:15)
  3. Take heed, lest an evil heart forms in you (Hebrews 3:12)
  4. Even when riches increase, trust in the Lord who gives us all things to enjoy freely, and not in uncertain riches (1 Timothy 4:10)

Remember, there are four things that will enable you to rule indeed: 1 Samuel 16:18

  1. Right upbringing
  2. The Anointing
  3. Right attitude
  4. Right company (1 Chronicles 12:1ff)

You shall serve the Lord to our full potential and serve Him wholeheartedly. Be blessed;

I love you!

5 Things to Know and Believe About Serving the Living God

We serve a Living God; who then is this God? I want to exhort you to pay attention to these five things as you serve the Living God;Originally published at highcity.org

We serve a Living God; who then is this God? I want to exhort you to pay attention to these five things as you serve the Living God;

1. The Living God has a Son;

Those who believe in the Son of the living God receive the power (right and grace) to rule in life by the Son of the living God.

John 1:12 exhorts that those who believe in the Son of God shall receive power to also live as children of God.

The Bible teaches in Romans 5:17-19, that those who believe in the Son shall reign in life by Him.

2. The Living God has a city;

You must desire for that city, and relax when you come to the city. The city of God is Mount Zion, where there is deliverance, holiness, and possessing of possessions.

Hebrews 12:22 teaches that by faith, we have come to the city of God, to the innumerable company of angels, and blood of sprinkling. Obadiah 1:17 reveals that as we come to Zion, the mountain of faith, we shall be delivered, be holy, and there shall be the possessing of possessions.

3. The Living God has a house;

We must read and know how to behave ourselves in the house of the Lord.

In 1 Timothy 3:15, apostle Paul teaches that we should study thoroughly to know how to behave ourselves in the house of the Lord. The house of the Lord has protocols that must be followed and observed. We must study to understand and follow those protocols.

4. The Living God wants to be followed;

Take heed that an evil of heart of unbelief enters not into you in departing from the Lord.

[HEBREWS 3:12 AMP] “Take care, brothers and sisters, that there not be in any one of you a wicked, unbelieving heart [which refuses to trust and rely on the Lord, a heart] that turns away from the living God”.

5. The Living God has rewards;

He gives His rewards to those who diligently seek Him; however when wealth increases, don’t trust in it but trust in the Living God who gives us all things to enjoy freely.

Hebrew 11 teaches that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Be blessed, I love you!

In 2019, Everything About You will Show that You Serve the Living God

In 2019, every thing about your life will show that you serve a living God. That is why you need to live by thefollowing truths;Originally published at highcity.org

[Hebrews 9:14 KJV] “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?”

In 2019, every thing about your life will show that you serve a living God. That is why you need to live by thefollowing truths;

First of all, long for and always relax when you come to the presence of God:

You are on the grounds and the pillar of truth, which is the church of the living God. We have come to the city of the living God, we will not be shaken. We will have proofs, and signs, miracles.

[Hebrews 12:22 KJV]”But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels”,

This is the house of the Lord and the city of God where the angels gather. In 2019, you shall develop a desire, a longing and a hunger for the house of God and for His courts.

[Psalm 42:2 KJV] “My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?”

[Psalm 84:2 KJV] “My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord : my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God”.

In this year, decide to spend time in the house and city of the living God and you will never regret it.

If you are already in the house of God, then you are blessed because this is the place where all the angels gathers; this is where the blood flows; this Zion where there is deliverance, the possessing of possession, and holiness.

Secondly, you must read to know how to behave yourself in the house of the Lord because it is the grounds and pillar of truth:

[1 Timothy 3:15 KJV] “But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth”.

Thirdly, beware that no evil heart be in you, in departing from the living God:

Most of the people who backslide and depart from the living God, allow an evil heart to enter into them, through evil speakings and malice and guile.

[ Hebrews 3:12 KJV] “Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God”.

It is fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God

Fourthly, even when wealth increases, trust only in the living God:

God gives us all things to enjoy freely and not in uncertain riches.

[1 Timothy 6:17 KJV] “Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy”;

Fifthly, the living God has a Son, and those trust him recieve the right and grace to rule in life:

[Romans 5:17 KJV] “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)”

Be blessed, I Love you;

We Serve the God of All Flesh

You will share your testimony! If Elizabeth shared her testimony, you will share your testimony. If Sarah shared her testimony, then you will share yours too.Originally published at highcity.org

[Jeremiah 32:26‭-‬27 KJV] “Then came the word of the Lord unto Jeremiah, saying, [27] Behold, I am the Lord , the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?”

Today, I want to exhort you to understand that we serve the God of all flesh. There is nothing too hard for our God, and He really wants you to know this truth. God wants all of us to know that there is nothing too hard for Him. He is the God of all flesh. There is no two ways about that.

I know and believe that when you get to accept this truth, your attitude will change. When you know that you serve the God of all flesh, to whom nothing is difficult, you will react differently to situations. Don’t let anybody deceive you, your God is not dead. He is the God of all flesh. He can do all things.

The Lord sent this word to the prophet Jeremiah at a time when the nation was about to face one of the worst challenges. He sent it to assure him that He, God, can deliver on His promises. There is nothing too hard for our God.

I have no idea what you my be facing, but we have an all powerful God. You will not be consumed. All through the next year, your results, impact, and your testimony will prove that you serve the God of all flesh. God will not fail us. He is faithful and we can continue and arrive. You can count on God. Lift up your eyes to the hills, that is where your help comes from.

You will share your testimony! If Elizabeth shared her testimony, you will share your testimony. If Sarah shared her testimony, then you will share yours too. You will not be put to shame, you will step into glory. We serve the God of all flesh. Be blessed.

I love you;

We Serve the Living God

This kind God we serve is indeed the living God. He calls the things that be not as though they were and transforms them into what He has called them. He is our God and we serve the living and faithful God.Originally published at highcity.org

We serve the living God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth. He made all things. The earth is His, and the fullness thereof. We serve the living God who made all things. He is our God, and we shall not be afraid. We shall not be shaken.

[Psalms 42:2 KJV] “My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?”

We serve the living God who calls the things that be not as though they were. He speaks of our present with the future tense and looks at us with the sense of what we can be and not what we are. He found Gideon threshing wheat by the winepress and called him a mighty man of valour. He found David tending his father’s sheep and called him “My King, the man after My heart”. He found Jacob in the howling wilderness and called him “My son”. He found Moses keeping the sheep of Jethro and called him “a God unto Pharoah”.

This kind God we serve is indeed the living God. He calls the things that be not as though they were and transforms them into what He has called them. I don’t know what men and life have been calling you, but I know that God has a better name for you. God has a better plan for you and He will make all things new. He is our God and we serve the living and faithful God. You shall not be shaken, God will prove Himself strong, wise and faithful on your behalf in Jesus’ name!

Therefore, our souls and hearts must thirst for Him. Let us long to appear before Him,  desiring to fellowship in His presence. Our God is mighty to save, good to all, and faithful to those who trust in Him. Be blessed.

I love you!

Why You Should Decide to Serve the Living God in 2019

Those who have rejected the Lord may seem to be prospering, but soon and very soon, the Lord shall come and save those who serve Him.Originally published at highcity.org

[Malachi 3:13-18 KJV] “Your words have been stout against me, saith the Lord . Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee? [14] Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the Lord of hosts? [15] And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered. [16] Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it , and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord , and that thought upon his name. [17] And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. [18] Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not”.

Most of the time, many backside from following and serving the Lord because the rewards of serving the Lord with gladness delays in manifesting. In the text above, we see how Israel backslid and began to speak stoutly against the Lord. The nation of the Lord, like many of us, began to doubt the real need of giving themselves to serve the Lord.

It is too early to start thinking that it is vain to serve the Living God. There is a lot of profit in keeping the ordinance of the Lord. Those who have rejected the Lord may seem to be prospering, but soon and very soon, the Lord shall come and save those who serve Him.

1. Those who serve the living God are delivered and defended in the day of trouble.

[2 Kings 19:15-16 KJV] “And Hezekiah prayed before the Lord , and said, O Lord God of Israel, which dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth. [16] Lord , bow down thine ear, and hear: open, Lord , thine eyes, and see: and hear the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent him to reproach the living God”.

[1 Samuel 17:36-37 KJV] “Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God. [37] David said moreover, The Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the Lord be with thee”.

2. Those who decide to serve the Lord shall be saved from the backsliding of the last days.

[1 Timothy 4:1-4 KJV] “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; [2] Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; [3] Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. [4] For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

3. Those who serve the Lord dwell in a city where there is deliverance and possessing of possessions.

[Hebrews 12:22 KJV] “But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels”,

[Obadiah 1:17 KJV] “But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions”.

You will never regret serving the living God. You will reap the full benefits.

Be blessed, I love you!
