7 Things that Makes Life Worth the Living

May the Lord supply and bless your bread and your water. May you never lack food or water in your home, amen!Originally published at highcity.org

As it was in the beginning so shall it also be. In the beginning, God created man in His own image and after His likeness to rule and to have dominion. Seven things that will determine the quality of your life are your person, blessing, assignment, home, provision, companionship, and fellowship. As we spend this time in prayer, we are trusting God to touch these seven things. I believe with all my heart that these seven aspects of your life can be transformed and will begin to work again amen!

I pray for God to give these things a supernatural touch that will bring the needed transformation that we seek. So, as we wait on God, we are praying that God would;

1. Touch and enlarge your soul:

May the Lord liberate you from any sinful and negative tendencies! May each of us be recreated in the image and the likeness of God. May each of us receive a restored anointing and glory! I pray that the glory of God shall dwell within us and cause us to run and not grow weary, amen!

2. Bless and enlarge your coast:

Pray that the Lord shall preserve you and keep you from falling. As the Lord blessed Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, may the Lord bless and equip you for success and breakthrough. We know that it is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich and adds no sorrow; may that blessing come upon and transform our lives. May the blessing and the Holy Spirit of the Lord encapsulate or come upon each one of us, amen!

3. Preserve and prosper your assignment and your home:

May the Almighty God bless the works of your hands and protect your home. May your work and home be free from predators! You will not become a prey to death, evil, or pestilence! May heaven sustain and preserve your going out and your coming in! May your work and career and home be protected and prosperous! You shall see increase in the works of your hands and your home shall be a place of rest and a haven of refreshment.

4. Bless your basket and your water:

All year round, may the Lord supply and bless your bread and your water. May you never lack food or water in your home. May this year be a year if goodness and mercy! May the Lord resource and empower you to feed others! You will have more than what you need for the day and shall give to others. This is our prayer and faith, amen!

5. Send helpers and partners:

You will never be lonely. The Lord shall send helpers who will love and support you to discharge the charge on your life. You will be loved and cherished. May God bring you joy and loving companions and helpers who will cherish and make you smile all the days of your life. You shall not know pain, fear, or rejection any more! God will be your first Helper. When all other helpers fail, may God never fail you, amen!

6. Fellowship with the Spirit and brethren:

May you emit sweet fellowship with the Holy Spirit and with the brethren. Pray that every time at the feet of Christ in church shall be a refreshing time. Whenever and whoever comes to our services shall have an encounter with God. May the church continue to experience times of refreshing! May the church continue to enjoy the presence of God! None shall run away from the presence of the Lord, neither will the Lord cast anyone out. The Lord will restore unto each of us the joy of His salvation, amen!

Be blessed, I love you!

Steps to Reach Entire Cities for Christ

In the same way that 12 men, together with their pastor, could reach the whole of Asia in 2 years, we can reach entire cities for Christ.Originally published at highcity.org

[Acts 19:1-12 KJV] “And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, [2] He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. [3] And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism. [4] Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. [5] When they heard this , they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. [6] And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. [7] And all the men were about twelve.

[8] And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God. [9] But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.

[10] And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks. [11] And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: [12] So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them”.

I have faith that this thing shall grow and take over the entire city and every other city the Lord shall send us to. In the same way that 12 men, together with their pastor, could reach the whole of Asia in 2 years, we can reach entire cities for Christ. Nothing shall stop us. If God did it for Ephesus, that same God will do it for us. You don’t need any special gift to reach entire cities for Christ.

To reach entire cities for Christ;

1. Recieve the Holy Ghost if you have believed:

Be anointed, hunger for the anointing. Jesus told them to wait in Jerusalem until they are endued with power from on high (Luke 24:44-52).

2. Be separated and decided to be part the faithful remnant:

Every mission begins with a little flock. The mission in Ephesus began with twelve men who had believed after the extensive work of the apostle, Appollos. Your church may start with 2 or 3 attendees, but decide to be part and committed to that remnant. Because God always works with a remnant.

3. We must be committed to regular fellowship, teaching and prayer with thanksgiving and without wrath:

Sometimes, traveling long distances to go and preach to 2 people can be very frustrating when you forget the value of a soul. I exhort you to be committed to this fellowship and teaching and prayer meetings. This is why God is showing us “little” mercies, don’t play down on it.

4. Team up with others who call upon God out of a sincere heart to infiltrate the dark world:

Step out two by two to infiltrate the dark world with the gospel and power; in obedience to preach the kingdom, heal the sick, and cast out devils. We must reach out. We must preach; men to men, women to women, children to children. God sent Paul and Barnabas,  not Paul and Cynthia; Paul traveled with Silas, not Sussan. Care should be taken when we are on the mission field.

5. Give honest and timely feedback:

Don’t wait to be asked, you must report back. The disciples reported back to Jesus. They did not wait for Jesus to call them, they reported back to Him. They gave Him feedback. Not just on missions but even feedback on their personal lives.

6. Arise to thread upon serpents, and scorpions, and every power of the enemy:

Arise with force to crash the gates of hell. Without prayer and aggressive warfare, most of our churches will be empty.

7. Be willing to be an allos:

Another of the same kind. They took aprons from the body of the apostle and laid it on the sick. They did not have a personal plan or strategy. They were willing to walk in the wisdom of their father. There is nothing like being “original”. Any missionary who is not willing to be an allos will remain alone. You must be willing to look like and do things as your pastor.

May you get to the place where we can amplify our ministry through signs and wonders. Everybody in the church became a miracle worker. Everybody could cast out devils. We can also amplify our ministries and walk in the supernatural. Be blessed.

I love you!

Why We Maintain Fellowship

We build up ourselves on our most holy faith through fellowship. When we maintain a healthy fellowship with the Holy Ghost and the brethren, we grow stronger.Originally published at highcity.org

We maintain a healthy fellowship with the Holy Spirit and with the brethren in order to grow a healthy and strong spirit. The more we fellowship with the Holy Spirit and with the brethren, the more we grow stronger.

[Galatians 5:16-18 KJV] “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. [17] For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. [18] But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law”.

We have already studied that man is tripartite, just like God. We were created in the image and likeness of God to have dominion and be fruitful. We know that man is a living soul, has a spirit, and lives in a body according to Genesis 2:7.

We however understand from Galatians 7:17 that the spirit and the flesh are in a constant battle with each other. They are all trying to gain control and rule over the soul. We have therefore admonished ourselves to grow stronger in the spirit man, so that we could control the wild flesh in order to live the life of faith.

The more we build up our faith through reading, hearing, and doctrine, prayer, worship and singing, desiring and relaxing in the presence of the Lord alone and with the brethren, the more we build and grow a stronger spirit.

We maintain a healthy fellowship with the Holy Spirit and the brethren in order to maintain a healthy and stronger spirit man. When we grow a healthy spirit man, we are able to possess our bodies in honour and please God. We build up ourselves on our most holy faith through fellowship. When we maintain a healthy fellowship with the Holy Ghost and the brethren, we grow stronger.

That is why the Bible exhorts us not to forsake the assembling together of ourselves. There is so much power in fellowshipping; so many great benefits.

[Hebrews 10:24-25 KJV] “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: [25] Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is ; but exhorting one another : and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching”.

It is our apostle’s desire that the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us. The communion of the Holy Spirit is so important. I pray that the Communion of the Holy Ghost shall be with you all.

[2 Corinthians 13:14 KJV] “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen”.

Your fellowship will sustain and help your growth. Be blessed.

I love you!

Demolishing Evil Altars

Most evil altars define the way of life of people. Your attempt to change the status quo will be faced with opposition; very stiff opposition.Originally published at highcity.org

[1 Kings 13:1-10 KJV] “And, behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of the Lord unto Beth-el: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense. [2] And he cried against the altar in the word of the Lord , and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the Lord ; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men’s bones shall be burnt upon thee. [3] And he gave a sign the same day, saying, This is the sign which the Lord hath spoken; Behold, the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon it shall be poured out. [4] And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, which had cried against the altar in Beth-el, that he put forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him. [5] The altar also was rent, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of the Lord . [6] And the king answered and said unto the man of God, Intreat now the face of the Lord thy God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again. And the man of God besought the Lord , and the king’s hand was restored him again, and became as it was before. [7] And the king said unto the man of God, Come home with me, and refresh thyself, and I will give thee a reward. [8] And the man of God said unto the king, If thou wilt give me half thine house, I will not go in with thee, neither will I eat bread nor drink water in this place: [9] For so was it charged me by the word of the Lord , saying, Eat no bread, nor drink water, nor turn again by the same way that thou camest. [10] So he went another way, and returned not by the way that he came to Beth-el”.

I believe with all of my heart that we have come in to this year to serve the Lord with passion and wholeheartedly. I trust that we came to this year to;

Believe on the messengers of God, Worship in Spirit and in truth, Come before the Lord with singing to all appointed meetings, Go into the nations and preach the gospel, and Reachout to others.

I believe that we have agreed as one to work hard to advance the kingdom. I believe that this year must turn out good. I believe that the Lord shall help us do it.

But if we can serve the Lord with passion and wholeheartedly, then we must demolish all evil altars.

An altar is a place of sacrifice. This is a place where covenants are strengthened and fortified for discharge.

The text we read teach us how to demolish evil altars;

1. Speak against all evil altars by the Word of the Lord:

Speak the Word against the altar. Don’t endorse evil, use the Word on your tongue against every budding evil. If you see people around you doing evil and making evil sacrifices, don’t keep quiet, speak the truth against it. People may not like you but you will be setting the stage for revival.

2. Trust the Lord to defend you as you obey Him:

Don’t fear what man will do against you. Rather, pray for those who suffer the judgment of God, if they repent. Vengeance is the Lord’s. The Lord will be there to defend His Word. No man can harm you. The Lord will be your defense.

Be open to all possibilities. Trust the Lord with the safety of your soul and life. The king attempted to smite the man of God, but God quickly came his defense. So just obey God and do what you have been asked to do. I commission you by the grace of God on my life to demolish every evil altar.

3. Have no fellowship with unbelievers:

You cannot break down by prayer, what you are building up by your action. Neither can you build by prayer what you are demolishing with your attitudes. You can only deal with evil altars when you denounce the unfruitful works of darkness. God told the young prophet not to have fellowship with anybody in Bethel, but he did not listen. Please take note that ‘anybody’ means ‘anybody’.

4. Beware of old prophets:

Beware of old prophets, beware of deception. Hold fast to your conviction, don’t compromise for any mortal man. There are people who would not mind destroying you even when they know what you are doing is good and know that you are of God. There was an old prophet in Bethel who deceived the young minister from Judah. He led him to disobey God and after he was killed by a lion, he brought back his bones, buried him and requested that when he dies, they should bury him by the young prophet’s bones.

May you have wisdom and convictions that are strong! You cannot demolish evil altars except you are a person of strong convictions. Most evil altars define the way of life of people. Your attempt to change the status quo will be faced with opposition; very stiff opposition. Be strong. (See 1 Kings 13:11‭-‬32)

We speak against every evil altar! We command them to split and spill ashes now! May the Judgement of God be against every evil altar and every priest who serves on them. There are people who want to destroy you for no reason, may the Lord deliver you! Be blessed.

I love you;

Let All Things be Done unto Edification

Our gathering must always be to strengthen and encourage ourselves to press on in the faith to enter the kingdom.Originally published at highcity.org

[1 Corinthians 14:26 KJV] “How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying”.

You come to church to be edified and not to be entertained. Please, go and tell them. We gather for edification and not for entertainment. The church is not a gaming center or an entertainment ground; the church is the house of the Lord and we gather for edification and not for entertainment. We come to church to be edified, so we must learn to do all things to godly edification.

Whether we are setting up, inviting many or following up those invited, reaching out to the maimed and halt and highways and hedges, or whether we are welcoming people, starting with prayer, singing in worship and praise, or ministering a song and dance and literary arts, preaching the messages, taking offerings, giving announcements, fellowshipping, dating, connecting, or greeting; let all things be done unto edifying of the brethren.

I hope by now you know that our churches are organized around;

  1. Setting up the meeting place and the meetings
  2. Inviting many and following up those invited,
  3. Reaching out to the maimed and halt and highways and hedges, Welcoming people,
  4. Starting with prayer
  5. Singing in worship and praise,
  6. Ministering a song, dance and literary arts,
  7. Preaching the messages,
  8. Taking offerings,
  9. Giving announcements,
  10. Fellowshipping, marrying, connecting, or greeting people;
  11. Working and meeting life development goals.

We should endeavor to do all things unto the edifying of the brethren. This is what church is all about. When we are dancing, we dance to edify the church. Whatever we do should be done for one reason and purpose to edify the church. Our coming together should not be for meeting friends or to sell things or to poach men. Our gathering must always be to strengthen and encourage ourselves to press on in the faith to enter the kingdom.

Be blessed, I love you!

Work Out Your own Salvation

It is time to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. You cannot do it any how. You must be diligent about it. Let us be careful, lest we fall short of the grace.Originally published at highcity.org

[Philippians 2:12-16 KJV] “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. [13] For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. [14] Do all things without murmurings and disputings: [15] That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; [16] Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

I want to exhort you today to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Salvation, from the Greek word ‘sozo’, means to save, heal, liberate, protect and to make whole. The Apostle is therefore exhorting us to work out our own salvation, healing, liberation, and protection with fear and trembling. That is to say, work it with carefulness; with all carefulness, work it out, so you don’t fail.

The apostle is saying “work out..” because salvation is instantaneous, continuous, and in the future.

You were saved the moment you heard, admitted, believed, and confessed the truth. (See Roman 10:9-13)

[Ephesians 2:8 KJV] “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:”

Now, we are being saved, and we shall be saved when the Lord shall come. That will be the climax and perfection of salvation.

[Romans 13:11 KJV] “And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed”.

It is time to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. You cannot do it any how. You must be diligent about it. Let us be careful, lest we fall short of the grace.

[Hebrews 12:15‭-‬16 KJV] “Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; [16] Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright”.

I will therefore share with you five simple keys to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling after you hear the gospel, admit, believe, and confess the truth; get baptized and added to the church.

So, after getting born again, how do you work out your own salvation with fear and trembling?

1. Prayer without ceasing:
Pray daily. Just remember to pray because your life depends on prayer. Prayer strengthen your connection with heaven (See 1 Thessalonians 5:17)

2. Fellowship:
Don’t forsake the assembling together of yourselves. Fellowship strengthens your connection with the brethren and with the body (See Hebrews 10:25)

3. Reach out:
The gospel must not end with you. You must reach out to the poor, sick, lost, naked, hungry, homeless, prisoner and the destitute. Reach out to the streets and lanes, to the highways and hedges, to the maimed and halt. We must share both the good news and the goodness of the Lord with our fellow humans. This strengthens our connection with the lost world. It is our ministry and responsibility to reach out with the love of God.

4. Walk in the way by the truth and the life:
Continue in the faith; we need to go through many tribulation to enter the kingdom. Your faith is for mountains and challenges. You must continue in the faith. Don’t give up when challenges come. Let us press on and we shall win.

5. Look for the appearing and the second coming of the Lord:
Hebrews 9:27 teaches that, “as it is appointed unto man once to die and after death judgement; so shall Christ Jesus appear unto them that look for his second coming without sin”. Jesus Christ is coming again. He is coming quickly but those who look for His appearing and second coming shall be raptured.

This is the day and the opportune time to work out your own salvation. While you go about your dreams and visions, don’t forget to keep these five truth as a catalyst to life. These five keys are catalysts and you need them to accelerate growth, dominion, and prosperity.

Prayer Points

#1. Praise;

Praise is a weapon against the devices of darkness. Let us lift up our voice and praise the Lord!

Join me as we lift up the name of the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Praise the Lord and sing of His goodness and grace. Declare His goodness from the East to the West. Let the world hear that our God is good and His mercies endure forever.

#2. Offenses;

Offenses is one of the most effect weapons of war against the saint. Today, forgive all those who have wronged you.

From today, I release all those who have offended me. I refuse to bear grudge. I forgive those who have wronged me. I refuse to be hurt. Lord, heal us. Help us from bitterness. Uphold us with a free spirit.

#3. Hexes and curses;

Hex and curses are real, but can be broken. We will deal with all hexes and curse and see change.

Now we invoke the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus against any hex or curses placed on any one of us. I pray that the blood of Jesus Christ will break every hex or curses operating in any life here. I enforce the blessing and the victory of the cross against the devils assigned to enforce the effect of any hex or curse now!

#4. Spells;

We neutralise any spell or charm cast on any one of us. That spell cannot work any more. We break the hold of any charm. We enlighten our minds. We awakened and walk out of the influence of the spell and charm. We command them to break! Break!! Break!!!

#5. Lies;

We release truth as a weapon against all the lies, masquerading and disguises now! We pray that any Gibeonite be unveiled and exposed.

May the Lord help you to know the real nature of the people you deal with. You can’t be deceived anymore. The Lord will expose any masquerade in your life. From today, even in your dreams, the faces of the people you see shall be exposed.

#6. Fear;

Fear is a deadly device. Don’t believe every thing you see. Learn to release your faith against fear. Learn to change your own thoughts.

Pray and release your faith against any dart of fear and doubt.

We rebuke any false expressions appearing real in our lives. I shall not be afraid any more. We are no longer slaves to fear. We are inheriting boldness. We are rising above the storm.

#7. Accusation;

Accusation is an age long device against the people of God but we can root it out today.

Now we wage war against accusation. We condemn every tongue that rises against us in accusation and condemnation. We rebuke any person trying to misrepresent our thoughts or our person. We purge ourselves of reproach.

Amen!

Stay blessed; I love you!

Fishing is not Supposed to be this Difficult

Fishing involves work but I don’t believe it should be this difficult. We must have sweatless successOriginally published at highcity.org

[Luke 5:4‭-‬7 KJV] “Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. [5] And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. [6] And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. [7] And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink”.

Inasmuch as I believe that fishing involves work, I don’t believe it should be this difficult. We must have sweatless success; our Lord Jesus Christ won people by simple statements; “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men” and “Go sell all you have and give to the poor”

He did not have much to say most often; He went straight to the point and left people to make their choices. He kept preaching from village to village, town to town and from city to city. What then was His secret?

1. He prepared and trained Himself in the things of the Lord: We must prepare ourselves in the things of the Lord; it cannot be business as usual.

2. He knew His purpose and prophecies concerning His life: Until you discover what you were born to do, you will live for nothing; you will live for what you know and admit is right.

3. The anointing: He waited till He was anointed to do good and to reach out. The anointing made a big difference in His life. The anointing will make a big difference. We will make greater impact when we become anointed. The anointing will bring greater influence.

4. Going about doing good; Healing all that are oppressed by devils. [Acts 10:38 KJV] “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him”. No matter how anointed you are, until you go from village to village, town to town, city to city and preach the gospel, you will not make a greater impact. We must step out, go out and reach out.

5. His morning watch: Mark 1:35 teaches that our Lord Jesus Christ had His quiet time daily. He prayed and watched every morning.

6. Late night prayers: He did not pray just in the morning, but also at night.

7. Fellowship with His core work men: finally our Lord Jesus Christ spent quality time with His disciples.

Fishing should not be that difficult!
