The Bible teaches that “those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength”. I hear a clarion call in my spirit that, the church should arise in prayer with fasting. We must arise and renew our strength.

[Isaiah 40:30‭-‬31 KJV] “Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Join us as we wait on the Lord in prayer with fasting. This is one of the greatest secrets to empowerment. Isaiah 58 teaches us how to fast as appointed. The prophet Isaiah teaches us three cardinal truths about fasting;

  1. What fasting is
  2. Why fasting is important
  3. How to fast effectively
Fasting as Appointed - the greatest secret to empowerment

What is fasting?

Fasting is abstaining from food to seek the face of God. In this season, we are going to embark on three types of fasts;

  1. Fasting for 7 days with water
  2. Fasting for 3 weekends with water (beginning from Friday and ending on Sunday night for three consecutive weekends)
  3. Fasting for 21 days with water, skipping breakfast and lunch.

Every one of us is at liberty to choose the type of fasting that suits your schedule. Remember fasting is your sacrifice to God.

Six things you must do when fasting

  1. Find time to sing, pray and study
  2. Bath and groom well; dress in modest clothes if you are a woman.
  3. Ease the burden and yoke on those under your control
  4. Show compassion to the hungry, naked, poor homeless, and your own
  5. Set aside a day you keep holy unto the Lord. No true believer works 7 days a week. It is dishonouring to God.
  6. Read the Bible or watch select videos at break time. There are over 426 videos on our YouTube channel and Facebook pages. Follow or subscribe to HighCity Church and Pastor Simpe Online both on YouTube and Facebook.
  7. Attend the evening services which start at 6:30 pm; 6:30 pm Dedicated to personal and private prayer|7 pm Welcome and Exhortation|7:15 pm Singing and Praying and Supplicating and Interceding and Thanksgiving and Ministering|8 pm closing and mopping up
Fasting as Appointed - the greatest secret to empowerment. As we wait on the Lord with fasting, He shall renew our strength and cause us to soar on wings as eagles!

There are 7 Blessings to expect

Fasting as appointed by the Lord releases seven blessings. These are seven things that each of us can expect to come out of this prayer with fasting.

1. Prominence:

Your light shall break forth as the morning. Your light shall rise from obscurity and your darkness shall be as the noonday.

2. Health and healing:

Your health shall spring for speedily. God will put none of the diseases of Egypt upon you. You will be healed.

3. New frontiers and safe passage:

Your righteousness shall go before you and the glory of the Lord shall be your rereward. That is to say that your righteousness shall pave a way for you and God will secure or guarantee your safe passage. (See Isaiah 58:8)

4. Answered prayers and help:

When you pray the Lord will answer and He will respond to your desperate cry. (See Isaiah 58:9)

5. Providence, satisfaction, fattening, and overflow:

The Lord shall guide you continually, satisfy your soul in drought, and make your bones fat; therefore you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose water fail not (See Isaiah 58: 11).

6. Empowerment to influence social change, development and restoration of habitats:

Those who shall align with you shall build old waste places. You shall raise the foundations of many generations, and you shall be called the repairer of the breach and restorer of paths to dwell in. (See Isaiah 58:12)

7. Promotion, elevation, and sustenance:

The Lord shall cause you to ride upon high places of the earth and shall feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father. (See Isaiah 58:13-14)

I do not doubt that this fasting season shall be a season of empowerment for us. The Lord shall renew our strength and cause us to soar on wings as eagles.

Benefits of Prayer and Fasting.

Jesus said “such as this comes forth not except by fasting and prayer”. Fasting and prayer deals with impossible things.Originally published at highcity.org

Fasting is abstaining from food, pleasure and travail in order to seek the face of God. The key part of fasting is abstinence. As we enter into this year of doing the first works with the first love, we must understand that by the arm of flesh shall no man prevail. You can win only by the supernatural hand and help of God. This is the time and the season that we must awaken and step out to get what it takes to do the first works.

We are arising to do the first works of adding numbers to the fold and to the kingdom. The second month must begin the season of vigorously pursuing the lost and adding them to the fold. We are going out and going after them to take them into the kingdom.

We are therefore stepping into 4 days of waiting, fasting, and praying. In these four days, we are believing God to do the following;

1. Break the power of anything that is trying to hold any of us captive:

This includes past addictions, negative habits, and defeatist mentality. The Lord said “such as this comes forth not except by fasting and prayer“. Fasting and prayer deals with impossible things.

2. Activate the power that works in us:

Ephesians 3:20 teaches that God is “able to do above all that we can ask or think according to the power that is at work in us“. Fasting and prayer activates that power already at work in us. This is not a fast just to loose weight, believe God to activate the power that is at work in you. Trust God to activate that power through fasting and prayers. Luke 4 teaches that the Lord returned from the wilderness full of the Holy Ghost and power.

3. Cause our light to break forth from obscurity:

Isaiah 58 teaches that fasting as the Lord has appointed will cause your light to break forth from obscurity. Your light will shine and luminance will increase. As you arise, your fasting and prayers will cause your light to shine greatly. Fasting and prayer will remove all the dross and clutters and you shall shine brighter and brighter.

4. Cause our health to spring forth speedily:

Isaiah 58 teaches that as we fast as the Lord has appointed, our health shall spring forth speedily. I speak to every infirmity in your body to give way now. Fresh and new health is springing forth in you speedily in the name of Jesus Christ!

5. Stir up the supernatural:

Fasting and pray provokes the supernatural. When the church fast and pray, all heaven is attentive to our prayers. Great change will take place. Weaknesses will turn into strength. Heaven will begin to pour out on us the times of refreshing. Be ready for an encounter of a lifetime. You will win and testify.

6. Prepare us to hear and receive from God:

Fasting and praying leads to deliverance and answer to prayer. Fasting is not for God’s benefit, rather, it is for our benefit. Fasting positions us spiritually to be able to recieve from God. Many of the times, God is speaking but we cannot hear Him, but as we fast and pray, we are prepared to hear and recieve from God.

It is my prayer that you shall make a decision to wait on God with us from Monday to Friday. We want to pray and fast until something happens. I believe and I declare that as we wait on God, everything will be fine. The Lord will be our Helper and greater things will happen.

Be blessed, I love you!

Kofi Simpe

Prayer:

Dear God, I know that You will give us the grace to reach out to You, and I thank You for it in Jesus name, Amen!

Unveiling the Sources of Limits

We exercise authority. We dominate and subdue kingdoms that rise contrary to the prosperity of the kingdom of God.Originally published at highcity.org

[Exodus 4:22‭-‬23 KJV] “And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the Lord , Israel is my son, even my firstborn: [23] And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn”.

God wants to save and translate you from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His dear son that you may serve Him as a son. He sent Moses with a word saying, “Let my people go that they may serve me.” The Lord wants us to go and serve Him, but many of us are held back by limits and mighty hands.

[Colossians 1:13 KJV] “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:”

In this conference, God wants to break every limit. He wants to release you to go all out for Him. We will be liberated to serve the Lord.

Any limits and boundaries that the devil placed on you that may not be exceeded or attained must break! Any restrictions and bounds that the devil said must not be broken shall be shattered! God has issued a decree to all the powers that hold you bound and restricted to let go of you that you might serve Him.

What are the sources of these limitations?

There are many sources of limits. Many of God’s precious children are bound but today will mark the beginning of liberation, healing, and defence as you advance in and through life. Below are seven of the many sources of restrictions that keeps many of us from advancing as God would have us:

1. Demonic and Satanic Sources;
The Bible tells us of the woman who was bound with the spirits of infirmity. She was bowed down for years. Obviously, her life had come to a stand still. The spirits of infirmity held her captive, but one encounter with the power of God liberated her. Receive your touch of power.

Remember the man of Gadara, he was bound by a legion and spent time in the tombs. He was wasting away because of the devils that had taken a hold of him. May the Lord touch and release us now! Become fully functional in the name of Jesus Christ!

I speak against any demonic control of your life. Receive the touch of power.

2. The Priority of Pharaoh;
The second source of limit and restrictions are the priorities of Pharaoh. Whereas God wanted Israel to go and serve Him, Pharaoh wouldn’t let them go, because he had cities to be built. He saw the demands of God and Moses as useless. He thought the people should rather spend time building his cities rather than going out to serve God.

Many of us are unable to serve God because the people of authority in our lives – our bosses, parents, spouses, leaders – have priorities that are contrary to the desires of God. They try to manipulate our lives to suit their parochial interest. Pharoah won’t let Israel go because he wanted them to build his cities.

I speak over your life now! May all such evil controls be broken in the name of Jesus Christ! May the church be released to go and serve God!

Any Pharaoh who won’t let the people go after many admonitions, is rebuked! May their evil hand be broken! Pharaoh will not let the people go because there was work to be done and cities to build. They had work to do. They had cities to build but God is also calling the people to go and serve him. Pharaoh saw a request to go serve God as idleness and a waste of human resources.

Even when he finally obliged, he did not want them to go far, go with their young, nor go with their cattle.

Pharaoh does not want you to serve God at all. Even if you would, he would rather that you don’t take things too far, nor allow your children to serve God, nor serve God with your resources.

[Exodus 8:28 KJV] “And Pharaoh said, I will let you go, that ye may sacrifice to the Lord your God in the wilderness; only ye shall not go very far away: entreat for me”.

[Exodus 10:8,24-27 KJV] “And Moses and Aaron were brought again unto Pharaoh: and he said unto them, Go, serve the Lord your God: but who are they that shall go? [24] And Pharaoh called unto Moses, and said, Go ye, serve the Lord ; only let your flocks and your herds be stayed: let your little ones also go with you. [25] And Moses said, Thou must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice unto the Lord our God. [26] Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not an hoof be left behind; for thereof must we take to serve the Lord our God; and we know not with what we must serve the Lord , until we come thither. [27] But the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he would not let them go”.

3. Complexes and Attitudes;
The third source of limits on life are complexes and bad attitudes. It is important to state that this is the time to refine your attitudes. Some of us have poor attitudes and unhelpful complexes; the earlier we changed the better. You know why? Well, it is because you can not fix with prayer what you destroyed with your attitude.

In psychology, a complex is a way of being, feeling, behaving or living. Now, 10 common complexes that fight success are:

  1. Oedipus/Electra complex: Having strong affection for a parent of the opposite sex.
  2. Madonna/whore complex: Men who see women as either a Madonna or a whore.
  3. God complex: Seeing one’s self as having God-like powers and not answerable to anyone.
  4. Persecution complex: An irrational feeling or fear of being ill-treated.
  5. Martyr complex: A person needing sympathy and attention by suffering (could even lead to self harm or deep depression)
  6. Inferiority complex: Feeling that you are not good enough in life. Israel had an inferiority complex.
  7. Superiority complex: Having a believe that you are better than everyone else
  8. Guilt complex: Always blaming yourself for things that go wrong (being self critical)
  9. Don Juan complex: Men who view women as a source of pleasure
  10. Hero complex: A person who always wants to be the center of attraction. They create situations of having to save someone.

4. Learnt Habits and Addictions;
Israel was addicted to the vegetables of Egypt. They missed the onions and garlic and carrots. Many people don’t go far because of addictions. Many people serve the lusts of the flesh and the eyes rather than God.

5. Social Norms and Cultural Practices;
Many African nations are poor because of social norms and cultural practices. A culture of corruption and mediocrity. Many of the times, our greatest limitations are from social norms and cultural practices.

Though Deborah could lead the armies to war, the social norms required that a man accompany her.

6. Relief Features and Elements of Nature;
Relief features are mountains, valleys, streams and rivers. Israel had to confront mountains, the seas, and the rains, droughts etc.

7. The League of Nations and Kings;
In Psalms, the kings of the earth and the nations stood against Israel and the Lord’s anointed, but God laughed them to scorn. Sanballat and Tobiah may arise, but God will be your defence. You shall take hold of a rod of iron and dash them in pieces.

These are 7 sources of limits that must be subdued. We must arise and deal with all these sources in the name of Jesus Christ. I speak over your life as the oracle of God and decree your release now!

#6. Dealing with relief features and elements of nature;

I say to every hindering mountain to be moved now! I am exempted from natural disasters. I speak into the coming year, that the elements of nature and relief features shall work for our advantage and not against us.

The mountains will help us! The stars will fight along with us! The rivers shall carry away the adversary that rises against us.

#7. Dealing with kings and nations;

We take a hold of the rod of Iron. We dash in pieces kings and nations that rage against our advancement. We exercise authority. We dominate and subdue kingdoms that rise contrary to the prosperity of the kingdom of God. We take charge and rule with wisdom and authority.

Amen!

Be blessed; I love you!

Work Out Your own Salvation

It is time to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. You cannot do it any how. You must be diligent about it. Let us be careful, lest we fall short of the grace.Originally published at highcity.org

[Philippians 2:12-16 KJV] “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. [13] For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. [14] Do all things without murmurings and disputings: [15] That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; [16] Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

I want to exhort you today to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Salvation, from the Greek word ‘sozo’, means to save, heal, liberate, protect and to make whole. The Apostle is therefore exhorting us to work out our own salvation, healing, liberation, and protection with fear and trembling. That is to say, work it with carefulness; with all carefulness, work it out, so you don’t fail.

The apostle is saying “work out..” because salvation is instantaneous, continuous, and in the future.

You were saved the moment you heard, admitted, believed, and confessed the truth. (See Roman 10:9-13)

[Ephesians 2:8 KJV] “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:”

Now, we are being saved, and we shall be saved when the Lord shall come. That will be the climax and perfection of salvation.

[Romans 13:11 KJV] “And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed”.

It is time to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. You cannot do it any how. You must be diligent about it. Let us be careful, lest we fall short of the grace.

[Hebrews 12:15‭-‬16 KJV] “Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; [16] Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright”.

I will therefore share with you five simple keys to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling after you hear the gospel, admit, believe, and confess the truth; get baptized and added to the church.

So, after getting born again, how do you work out your own salvation with fear and trembling?

1. Prayer without ceasing:
Pray daily. Just remember to pray because your life depends on prayer. Prayer strengthen your connection with heaven (See 1 Thessalonians 5:17)

2. Fellowship:
Don’t forsake the assembling together of yourselves. Fellowship strengthens your connection with the brethren and with the body (See Hebrews 10:25)

3. Reach out:
The gospel must not end with you. You must reach out to the poor, sick, lost, naked, hungry, homeless, prisoner and the destitute. Reach out to the streets and lanes, to the highways and hedges, to the maimed and halt. We must share both the good news and the goodness of the Lord with our fellow humans. This strengthens our connection with the lost world. It is our ministry and responsibility to reach out with the love of God.

4. Walk in the way by the truth and the life:
Continue in the faith; we need to go through many tribulation to enter the kingdom. Your faith is for mountains and challenges. You must continue in the faith. Don’t give up when challenges come. Let us press on and we shall win.

5. Look for the appearing and the second coming of the Lord:
Hebrews 9:27 teaches that, “as it is appointed unto man once to die and after death judgement; so shall Christ Jesus appear unto them that look for his second coming without sin”. Jesus Christ is coming again. He is coming quickly but those who look for His appearing and second coming shall be raptured.

This is the day and the opportune time to work out your own salvation. While you go about your dreams and visions, don’t forget to keep these five truth as a catalyst to life. These five keys are catalysts and you need them to accelerate growth, dominion, and prosperity.

#3. Hexes and curses;

Hex and curses are real, but can be broken. We will deal with all hexes and curse and see change.

#6. Fear;

Fear is a deadly device. Don’t believe every thing you see. Learn to release your faith against fear. Learn to change your own thoughts.

Pray and release your faith against any dart of fear and doubt.

We rebuke any false expressions appearing real in our lives. I shall not be afraid any more. We are no longer slaves to fear. We are inheriting boldness. We are rising above the storm.

#7. Accusation;

Accusation is an age long device against the people of God but we can root it out today.

Now we wage war against accusation. We condemn every tongue that rises against us in accusation and condemnation. We rebuke any person trying to misrepresent our thoughts or our person. We purge ourselves of reproach.

Amen!

Stay blessed; I love you!

Till Death Do Us Part!

We need to stand and fight for more grounds. God is counting on us to stand with the men in uniform. These are the men who fight for us to enjoy the peace and safety to go to work.Originally published at highcity.org

Day 14 of 21 Days of Breaking Limits

[2 Thessalonians 3:1-5 KJV] “Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: [2] And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. [3] But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. [4] And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you. [5] And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ”.

There comes a time when the church ought to stand by the servants that God has sent to them. We must stand with the pastor loyally through the thick and thin. We must decide to labour with the man of God in his endeavours, and never stand indifferent.

No pastor can stand and succeed alone. Every servant of God needs helpers to stand with him. We need to stand and fight for more grounds. God is counting on us to stand with the men in uniform. These are the men who fight for us to enjoy the peace and safety to go to work.

Three simple ways to stand with your pastors is to;

1. Pray for him:

Pray that the word of God which they preach will have a free course with others as it had with you. There are times when the word of God does not have a free course. There comes a time when there is resistance and opposition to the word as it is being preached.

2. Do the things he commands:

We must be committed to do the things he teaches and commands, and report those who disobey on his blind side, with fear . You must do what he commands and report those who don’t.

3. Wait with him patiently to the end:

Don’t let our labour be in vain. May you stand to the end, determined to end, and won’t allow anyone to rob you of your crown in Christ. As your pastor, you are my crown and my joy.

We understand that when Ruth (the church) followed Naomi (the pastor); she was not following because of the promise of getting a husband, wealth or children; she was determined to continue with Naomi even after death had parted them. Ruth followed to belong and to stick with Naomi. We are also making a decision that come hell or high water, we will stick together. You will stick by me and I will stick by you.

I will rebuke you when you are wrong; rebuke me when I am wrong, but we will forever stick together. We will find better ways of dealing with our differences but deserting is not a thought or an option.

Prayer Points

#1. Lift your voice and let us adorn the Lord:

Let us lift the might name of the Lord on high. Let us celebrate the goodness of the Lord of the Harvest. Give God glory and show forth His goodness.

#2. Pray that the Lord Shall let His word have its free course with others as it had with us:

We command every barrier set up against the course of the word to be broken in the name of Jesus. We command every heart to be receptive to the word as it is being preached.

May the Lord touch many hearts and help them to yield to the word in the name of Jesus Christ.

#3. Lift up prayer that the Lord shall deliver our pastor from every orchestrations of wicked and unreasonable men:

We bind every accusing tongue! We silence the voice of the accuser!

May the Lord purge contempt and reproach out of his life! May he win over wickedness and false brethren!

#4. Pray that the faithful God shall establish you and keep everyone of us from evil:

May the Lord be your defense and fortress! May He be a shield unto you from the stormy blast!

God! Establish us! Give us roots in You. Help us to stand firm!

#5. Pray that the Lord shall grace us to do what our pastor has taught and commanded:

We will walk in the ways of the Lord by the truth and the life that flows from the word.

#6. Pray that the Lord shall direct our hearts into His love and into the patience of waiting for Him.

Father draw us into Your love. Give us an enduring grace and love. Help us to love and love with all that we have.

On this 14th day of 21 Days of Breaking Limits, we make a choice to stand with our pastor. We decide to both love him and fight a common enemy. Lord help us to stand by our pastor and his family.

You will be blessed as you make a decision to stand and partner with me. Stand with me and see the hand of the Lord build us together. As you stand with your pastor, may the Lord stand with you. May He be our defense and fortify us to fight for victory in the mission field!

Be blessed; I love you!

Dealing with the Devices of the Enemy

Day 13 of 21 Days of Breaking Limits

[2 Corinthians 2:10‭-‬11 KJV] “To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave anything, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ; [11] Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices”.

On this 13th day of these 21 Days of Breaking Limits, we shall be dealing with devices of the enemy. It is important to understand that the devil does not work in a vacuum, he works through carefully crafted devices. These devices are his creation, and by them, he works against ignorant brethren; but we are not ignorant of his devices.

Some of these devices are;

  1. Offenses and bitterness
  2. Hexes and curses
  3. Spells and charms
  4. Lies, masquerading and disguise
  5. Fear
  6. Seduction and entrapment
  7. Accusations and misrepresentations
  8. Signs and miracles
  9. Soothsaying and divination
  10. Distraction and blindness

From today, I pray that you will not be deceived and trapped by any of these devices in the mighty name of Jesus!

We frustrate the tokens, and signs, and miracles, and omens of the wicked and the devil. Diviners shall be frustrated. We take charge now in the name of Jesus!

#9.

In the name of Jesus, I release light against soothsayers and diviners. I speak that by the discerning of spirits, no soothsayers can deceive me. Diviners shall be confused.

#10.

We release fire and thunder against distractions set up against us. We pray for focus. We shall press on and not be deceived.

#11

Father give us the wisdom to escape the seduction and entrapments of a strange woman or strange man. May her traps fail!

May the Lord purge strange persons out of our lives! The strange woman shall not succeed. You must win

I pray that you shall no longer be ignorant of the devices of the enemy. May the Lord help you to walk in light and revelations.

I am interested in your thoughts and questions on this message, so let’s carry on the conversation in the comments section below

Be blessed; I love you!

Spread it Before the Lord

Our God is able to Save, fear not! Put your trust in God!Originally published at highcity.org

[2 Kings 19:14-15 KJV] “And Hezekiah received the letter of the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up into the house of the Lord , and spread it before the Lord. [15] And Hezekiah prayed before the Lord , and said, O Lord God of Israel, which dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth”.

Many years ago the king of Assyria, after conquering many nations, wrote a letter to the king of the people of God, Hezekiah. In this letter, the king of Assyria called to question the ability of God to save His people. He was so full of himself and trusted in his past conquests and argued that the God of Hezekiah was unable to save him.

[2 Kings 19:9-13 KJV] “And when he heard say of Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, Behold, he is come out to fight against thee: he sent messengers again unto Hezekiah, saying, [10] Thus shall ye speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, Let not thy God in whom thou trustest deceive thee, saying, Jerusalem shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria. [11] Behold, thou hast heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands, by destroying them utterly: and shalt thou be delivered? [12] Have the gods of the nations delivered them which my fathers have destroyed; as Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden which were in Thelasar? [13] Where is the king of Hamath, and the king of Arpad, and the king of the city of Sepharvaim, of Hena, and Ivah?”

I don’t know what is challenging God’s ability to save, but I came to announce to you that indeed, God is able to save and will save to the latter. It is time for us to do what Hezekiah did when he received the letter, the report, and the message. What did he do?

1. He read the letter:

It is important to read to understand the content of what is given to you. Hezekiah read the letter that was sent to him.

2. He went up to the house of the Lord:

When you receive that threatening report, get up and go the house of the Lord where you have always been worshipping.

3. He spread it before the Lord:

Spread it before the Lord. Bring along the report, bring the token and lay it before the Lord in prayer.

4. He prayed before the Lord and said:

He prayed aloud. He prayed and told God who he (Hezekiah) knows He (God) is. He gave God a situational report and was clear about what was going on.

[2 Kings 19:14-20 KJV] “And Hezekiah received the letter of the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up into the house of the Lord , and spread it before the Lord . [15] And Hezekiah prayed before the Lord , and said, O Lord God of Israel, which dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth. [16] Lord , bow down thine ear, and hear: open, Lord , thine eyes, and see: and hear the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent him to reproach the living God. [17] Of a truth, Lord , the kings of Assyria have destroyed the nations and their lands, [18] And have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men’s hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them. [19] Now therefore, O Lord our God, I beseech thee, save thou us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the Lord God, even thou only. [20] Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, That which thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria I have heard”.

I am not aware of what report you have received, but my God is mighty to save. If you can spread it before the Lord in this house, then God will give me a word for you. I pray that as you come up here and spread it before the Lord and pray, He will hear you and give the prophet a word for you. Nothing can swallow you! You will come out more than a conqueror!

You will conquer poverty, hardship, stress, infirmities, and any siege against your life that mocks the testimony of God in the Scriptures. May the Lord show up and prove to all that He is your God! Once you have spread it before the Lord; May He show up and defend His own! You are coming out now! Just spread it before the Lord!

Prayer Points

#1.

Shall we lift up our voices and begin to celebrate our victory over any Assyria in our lives. Lift up your voices and hands and begin to celebrate the Lord. Tell of the goodness of the Lord. Tell of His might and power to generations yet unborn. The Lord is good.

#2.

Tell God exactly what is up against you. Speak to Him about the family, the condition, the situation, the health. Spread it before the Lord now. Discuss things that are of personal concerns to you. Spread It! Talk to the Lord and allow Him to fight for you.

#3.

Pray and ask the Lord to stretch forth His hand and mighty arm to your rescue.

Father stretch forth Your hand and save us. Redeem us from the siege of darkness. Deliver us from the spirits of infirmity. Heal and restore us. Break the hold of darkness and let Your children dwell in peace.

#4.

Holy spirit, Lift up a standard against every enemy that has encamped against us. Spirit of God sweep across this city and break every siege. Lift up a standard oh God!

#5.

Father, honour Your word. Have mercy on us; do not be far from us in this day of trouble, rebuke, and affliction. Show up! oh God! and save Your heritage from shame. Let not the wicked exact upon us. Save Your own now! We have no help apart from You.

#6.

Just begin to bless the Lord and praise His mighty name. You are coming out. The Lord is with you. You are coming out. Hallelujah! We are coming out now! Nothing will stop you. Just thank God.

Our God is able to Save, fear not! Put your trust in God!

Be blessed; I love you!

Dealing with the Mixed Multitudes

When a people are one and speak a common language, whatever they decide to do progresses steadily.Originally published at highcity.org

Day 11 of 21 Days of Breaking Limits

[Exodus 12:37‭-‬38 KJV] “And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children. [38] And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle”.

Nothing limits the progress, prosperity, and the sanctification of a church or a people than a mixed multitude. When a people are one and speak a common language, whatever they decide to do progresses steadily.

When God wanted to stop the building of the tower of Babel, He came down and confused their language. When God wanted to build His kingdom, He came down and gave His workmen a common language.

Now the devil also wants to stop the building of the kingdom, so he has sown tares among us to confuse our language and vision.

The real dangers of engaging with mixed multitude is distraction from the core vision and business of the team and community. The mixed multitudes have their own agenda, and are enemies of the cross.

From Nehemiah 13, you can understand some of the effects of the mixed multitude on the church;

1. Profaning of the temple:

The mixed multitudes profane the temple. Really, the temple does not mean to them what it means to us. They desecrate it and careless, beware!

2. Intermarriage with unbelievers:

When we allow the mixed multitude to thrive, our daughters and sons end up falling in love and marry them.

3. Backsliding of the Levites and priests:

Because of the cutting of tithes. Many of the priests and Levites returned to their secular vocations because the people were not paying their tithes.

4. Profaning of the Sabbath:

The mixed multitudes profane the Sabbath and find their pleasure in it. The mixed multitude play down on our assembling together.

Prayer Points

#1. Strange Personalities;

Dear Lord, deliver me from strange personalities. Deliver me from the strange woman or man who flatters with his or her lips and words (Portiphar’s wife)

#2. Wicked and Unreasonable men:

Father deliver us from wicked and unreasonable men; Let the gospel have its free course with others as it has with us

[2 Thessalonians 3:2 KJV] “And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith”.

#3. False Bretheren;

Dear Lord, deliver us from the sleight cunningness of men who lie in wait to deceive;

[Ephesians 4:11-16 KJV] “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; [12] For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: [13] Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of th.e knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: [14] That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; [15] But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: [16] From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love”.

Deliver us from ravenous wolves that creep into the church

[Acts 20:29 KJV] “For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock”.

Deliver us from brethren who say perverse things to draw following and disciples after themselves.

[Acts 20:30 KJV] “Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them”.

Deliver me from friends and acquaintances who try to turn me from the truth and from the faith.

[Acts 13:7 KJV] “Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God”.

Deliver me from those who cause division and offenses contrary to the doctrine.

[Romans 16:17 KJV] “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them”.

Deliver me from followers and acquaintances who love the world; and often forsake me in tough times.

#4. Jealous and Envious men;

Deliver me from those who hate me for no reason; Let me not trust any man who is jealous and envious of my favour (like Cain).

#5. Satanic Messengers;

Deliver me from any messenger of Satan sent to buffet me. I speak grace and deliverance from satanic messengers. I declare a new day over my life.

Be blessed; I love you!

Taking a Step to the Anointing

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity; He is Himself, God. He is the Comforter sent to help the churchOriginally published at highcity.org

Day 10 of 21 Days of Breaking Limits

[Luke 11:13 KJV] “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?”

One person who can help us take every illegal limits off our lives is the Holy Spirit. On this 10th day of Breaking limits, we want to take one simple step to the anointing; fasting and prayer. We are praying for the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity; He is Himself, God. He is the Comforter sent to help the church.

When the Holy Spirit comes upon us, Many things begin to happen. There is so much that begin to change upon His arrival;

1. He comes to dwell with and in us to help our infirmities, and by Him, we are enabled to pray as we ought to

[Romans 8:26 KJV] “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered”.

2. He quickens our mortal bodies and makes us strong;

[Romans 8:11 KJV] “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you”.

[Acts 1:8 KJV] “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth”.

3. He teaches and leads us into all truth (See Acts 13:1-5)

4. He lifts a standard against the enemy that rises against us;

[Isaiah 59:19 KJV] “So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him”.

5. He brings fruitfulness and increase

6. He flows through us as rivers of living waters to heal our lives;

[John 7:37-39 KJV] “In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. [38] He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. [39] (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given ; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)”

7. He refreshes and fills us with fresh fire when we run to him in fear;

[Acts 4:24,31 KJV] “And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is: [31] And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness”.

Prayer Points;

#1. In-filling and Fresh Baptism;

Dear Father, You told us that You give the Holy Spirit to those who ask. Father we stand here and desire only one thing, that You give us the Holy Spirit. Father, anoint us with power and with the Spirit. Fill us with Yourself. We don’t need anything; We want you. This is Your house, we welcome You. Come and live in us and do Your work.

Come and dwell in us by Your Spirit. We are Your body on earth and Your dwelling place. We are trusting You to fill us with Your Holy Spirit and work through us.

Our prayer today is that we want the in-filling and fresh baptism of power. Acts 10:38 teaches that, “God anointed Jesus Christ of Nazareth and he went about doing good”. The Holy Spirit is the most important person on earth to day; and we need Him for effective function.

#2. Quickening Power;

Oh God! quicken our mortal bodies and make us strong to serve You. Heal our mortal bodies! Make us quick and strong, and enable us to walk in health and newness.

Dear God, make us strong! You said that we shall recieve power after that the Holy Spirit comes upon us. Let your rain come upon us once more. Give us power and let us walk in power. Dear God, make us strong. Give us power. We need Your power now more than before; please give us power (See Acts 1:8)

#3. Direction of the Spirit;

Holy Spirit, visit us now as You did in the early church. Give us direction for the coming days. We don’t know what we have to do, which way to take, and when to do what. So lead us! We yield to You, lead us!

Show us where to go, who should go, and when to go. Speak to us as we wait on You. (See Acts 13:1-5)

#4. Great Geace;

Fresh fire! let it fall! Oh God, fill us now! Fill and ordain us with great grace for greater works – the works of Christ. Holy Spirit, come upon, into and with us. Holy Spirit fall afresh on us (See Acts 4:23)

#5. Victory on the Mission Field;

We pray that the Holy Spirit will come and lift a standard against the enemy.

Give us access to the mission field. Resist the enemy and lead us to greener pastures. Lord! Let Your Spirit lift a standard against the enemy (See Isaiah 59:19)

#6. Utterance

Dear Holy Spirit, give us utterance! Help us to speak and pray and sing as we ought to. Help our infirmities and help us to pray aright. Flow through us as a river and heal our lives. Heal us now. Heal our lives and let us win. Flow through us into the world as a river of life.

#7. Empowerment

Father, empower and make us fruitful. You said “our lands will remain a wilderness until the spirit be poured.” Pour Your Spirit upon us one more time. We need You, we need power! Touch and heal us again!

I pray that today will mark the beginning of a great anointing on our lives!

Be blessed; I love you!

Breaking Limits

We shall win! Every limit must be broken! The Lord will empower you, and the coming years shall be great.Originally published at highcity.org

Day 8 of 21 Days of Breaking Limits

On this 8th day of waiting on God, we are committed to break every limit off our lives and that of our children and family. Every limits must break for us to rise to the occasion and to deliver our mandate in Christ.

1. Spirits of Infirmity

The first limit that must be broken to enable us to fully manifest is the operations of spirits of infirmity.

In Luke 13:10-18, there was a woman in the synagogue who had been bound by spirits of infirmity for 18 years; the spirits of infirmity can make a person bowed down. When the Lord saw her, He touched her and she was healed. In that same way you shall be Healed! Be loosed from the spirits of infirmity!

Prayer Point #1:

We rebuke any spirit of infirmity as the one that bound the daughter of Abraham for years, that is trying to attack my life! I am breaking the hold of every spirit of infirmity! I declare the end of the operations of any spirit of infirmity that holds anyone bound. I lift up prayer and dismantle the heavy burdens of darkness. In the name of Jesus we loose every one bound by the spirits of infirmity. We command that limit to be broken now! We receive the grace to walk in the full expression of the goodness and health of God.

2. Tares

The second limit that must be broken is the planting and presence of tares. Many of us are not progressing and prospering because of the presence of tares. A man went to sow seed but the wicked one came to sow tares among his wheat. The wicked one has planted many evils among the things we have planted. The evil one may have succeeded in planting tares in your home, in your marriage, your business, or in your mind. These plantings are limits that must be broken!

Prayer Point #2

We engage the weapons of war in dealing with every tare planted among us: Now! We release angelic presence to deal with tares that were sown among us while men slept. Anything that the wicked one have sown in my life, in my church, or in my family while I slept is uprooted now! We pray against the tares that the evil one has planted.

3. Spirits that Block Answers to Prayer

The third limit that must be broken are demonic spirits that block answers to prayer. In the days of Daniel, the Prince of Persia and Medes withstood an angel who was bringing answers to Daniel’s prayer for 21 days. Some demons and satanic entities may have blocked the answer to your prayers in this season of fasting. Remember that Daniel was fasting and praying too. So don’t slack! Act now!

Prayer Point #3:

We command any territorial prince resisting any angel carrying the wisdom for direction and the answers to my prayers as in the days of Daniel, is rebuked, right now! We rebuke them right now! Any prince of Persia, of the Medes, of Ashongman, of my clan is rebuked right now!

4. Accusers, Critics, Scorners, and Fault Finders

The next limit that must be broken is the effect of the works of accusers, critics, scorners and fault finders. In the book of Zechariah, Satan withstood Joshua the high priest on the day of his ordination. It took the intervention of an angel, the voice of God and a change of his garments. Satan has sought for an occasion, and by the action and operation of critics, scorners, and fault finders, has destroyed the reputation of many of us, and by that, he is fighting our prosperity! This is the time to exercise dominion!

Prayer Point #4:

I lift up the name of the Lord against any accuser, Satan, devil assigned to withstand me on the day of my lifting as it happened in the days of Joshua the high priest! I invoke the name of Jesus Christ against such an evil power. May the voice of God speak on my behalf! I ask for a change of garments! Lord change my garments for a glorious one! I put off any garments of shame, disgrace, sickness, poverty! I put off the old garments of limitation! I pray to be clothed one more time! I receive a garment of glory and dignity! I speak fire, I speak shame, and I speak against all critics, fault finders, and scorners. I condemn their tongue in the name of Jesus Christ.

5. Anger, Bitterness, Pride, Greed, Disloyalty

The fifth limit that must be broken are the presence of evil seed of anger, bitterness, pride, greed, disloyalty that may have been sown by the wicked one in our hearts. The devil sowed this same evil seed in the heart of Judas, Ananias, and even Peter. Many of us are not prospering because of bitterness and greed.

Prayer Point #5:

Any evil seed of anger, bitterness, jealousy, deceit, lies, and disloyalty that the devil has put in my heart, as he did to Judas, and Ananias and Sapphira, I command it to die now! Die now! I purge my spirit! My spirit is free from anger, bitterness, greed, prodigality, disloyalty, and deceit.

6. Haman and Cain

The sixth limit we want to deal with today is the limit of the presence and operations of Haman and Cain. These are wicked people in your circle of life who are constantly scheming to trap  and kill you, but the Lord will deliver you!

Prayer point #6:

Any Haman plotting and scheming my downfall and extinction, this year shall hang on his own gallows! I escape traps and snares and schemes. The Lord shall set up my lifting. This year I will ride in king’s chariots in high places! I refuse to settle for less. Whatever men planned for evil is turning to my good! My season of lifting is here!

We shall win! Every limit must be broken! The Lord will empower you, and the coming years shall be great.

Stay blessed; I love you!
