People You Should be Faithful to

The Lord shall preserve the faithful and greatly reward the wicked in their evil. .Originally published at highcity.org

“O love the Lord , all ye his saints: for the Lord preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.” (Psalms 31:23 KJV)

The Bible tells us that God preserves the faithful. It is important for us to be faithful in all things and to certain things and people in our lives. Those who keep faith and are faithful shall be preserved by the Lord. However the Lord shall reward the proud doer plentifully.

Let us learn to be faithful to;

God:

Heis good and His mercies endures forever. He will keep faith with them that keep faith with Him. In fact, even when we are unfaithful, He will still remain faithful. Faithful is He that called us.

Call of God on our life:

There is a call on our lives and we must be faithful to it to the end. Be faithful to your call. Be faithful and not turn back. I have resolved to be faithful. A good soldier stands firm and stands in faith.

Pastor:

Yourpastor is a helper of your joy. You must be faithful to him because he must serve you with joy and not with resentment. Apostle Paul handed over some brethren to Satan, because they did not keep faith with him.

Spouse:

It’s a biblical requirement. Being faithful to your spouse is being faithful to yourself.

Church:

This is the body of christ. The bible tells us that he that destroys the body of Christ, God shall destroy too. Ananias and Saphira died because they were not faithful to the church. They lied to the church.

Family:

It’sall you have got. They will usually be there for you when most people give up on you.

Employer or boss:

Sure, that is what the Bible require. Luke 16:12 teaches that he that is faithful in that which is another man shall be trusted with his own.

Children:

We must be faithful to our children because they trust us.

Friends:

Hmmmm! Friends are made for the day of adversity. Please be faithful to your friends. Be very faithful!

Remember, the Lord shall preserve the faithful and greatly reward the wicked in their evil. Be faithful and save yourself from curses.

Stay blessed; I love you!

The Miracle of Staying in His Presence and Taking Notes

Taking notes in church is one of the ways to receiving glory upon your life.Originally published at highcity.org

“And he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments. And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses’ hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him. And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him.

And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them. And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the Lord had spoken with him in mount Sinai. And till Moses had done speaking with them, he put a veil on his face. But when Moses went in before the Lord to speak with him, he took the veil off, until he came out.

And he came out, and spake unto the children of Israel that which he was commanded. And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses’ face shone: and Moses put the veil upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him.”

In the text above we see how Moses changed when he spent time in the presence of God. When the servant of God spent time in his presence taking notes as the Lord dictated, his very person changed. He changed and began to shine. We can understand that when we spend time in the presence of God, we are changed into nature and glory we behold. The glory rubs on us and we manifest that.

The time spent in the house of the Lord is never wasted. That time helps to build us. We are changed into the glory of God. We lose our shame and we are changed to shine.

Moses did nothing; he just sat in the mountain of God taking notes as he heard God speaking and he was changed. The voice of God to you can change you. You can literally shine if you spend time to listen and write what you hear.

When you come to church, take notes. Write what God is saying and receive the glory that comes through the voice and the word. Taking notes in church is not an ordinary ritual. It’s one of the ways of receiving glory upon your life. The man of God, Moses, received glory like never before. You can also receive the glory of God into your being. Learn to stay, listen, and take notes.

I love you; stay blessed!

It’s Time to Receive your Pastor According to the Heart of God

Until you have a hunger for truth and grace, even the most anointed pastor can’t bless youOriginally published at highcity.org

(Jeremiah 3:14‭-‬15 KJV) “Turn, O backsliding children, saith the Lord ; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion: And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.”

If your pastors do not feed you with knowledge and understanding, then staying out of church is a better option. There is nothing as deadly as to be tied down in a church where you are not being fed with knowledge and understanding. You are better off being won anew than to be tied to a pastor who would not feed you with knowledge and understanding.

There are many types of pastors:

  1. Those whose god is their belly and their glory is in their shame
  2. Those given according to God’s heart

The scriptures say “God will give us pastors according to His heart“. These men and women will feed us on grace and truth with knowledge and understanding. You must be ready to receive them. They will feed us on grace and truth; but they will do this with knowledge and understanding.

The pastor God gives will feed you on the bread of heaven, Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us that He is full of grace and truth (See John 1:14) The difficulty is not with the pastor, but will you eat what he serves? Your attitude can change his ministry and message. The pastor is given to feed the church; the church must have a hunger and thirst for truth and grace.

Listen! This is the time to re-organise yourself; you must receive the pastors God gave you. You are different from others, but He that ascended knows you inside out, and as the scriptures teach, He gave gifts unto men. You must decide to receive your gift with grace and content.

Your pastor is your pastor and you must receive him as long as he feeds you on Christ, full of grace and truth. Your pastor may not speak by word of knowledge but he speaks the truth anyway. Put your pastor at ease if you want the best of him to bless you. Don’t push him or her to be anything other than what God made him.

I hope you receive the gift God gave you!

I love you.

Connect – Be Added to the Church

Connection is such a wonderful thing. Who are you connected to? Are you really connected to the body of Christ? Do you belong to a church? Are you loyal to that church?Originally published at highcity.org

“Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.(47)  Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved” (Acts 2:41, 47 KJV)

Today’s Reading:

Hebrews 12:22-29

Your connection to the vine gives you access to roots and fatness. Jesus said ‘If you are a branch and you are not connected to me, then you are finished’… Amen! I said “you are what? … Finished!”

I will tell you one thing, what made Levi qualified to take tithes was simply because of his connection to Abraham. The Bible says that when Abraham paid tithes Levi was in his loins.

And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.(10)For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him (Hebrews 7:9-10 KJV).

Connection is such a wonderful thing. Who are you connected to? Are you really connected to the body of Christ? Do you belong to a church? Are you loyal to that church?

Lot was saved from destruction because of his connection to Abraham (Genesis 14:10 – 16 and Genesis 19:1-25)

It seemed right to the Holy Spirit and to the apostles that those being saved should be added to the church. Those that believed and were baptized were added to the church. They did regularize their membership. (John 10:16)

The church of God is not a physical structure. According to Hebrews 12:22-29 when you connect with the church, then ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

Many people are oblivious to the real benefits and the need to connect to the body of Christ.

God is not interested in raising you as a lone ranger. He is actually concerned about raising a people for himself and to building a community that you can belong to for shepherding, accountability, and support.

You must, therefore, belong to a community of people, the people of God called the Church. Mega people make a Mega Church. Church is all about people involved in something that matters and is relevant to their finding abundant life in Christ; so, as the people begin to grow and prosper, the church grows and prospers

When you grow, the church will grow; when you prosper, the church will prosper; when it is well with you, it is well with the church.

It is as simple as that.

Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ (1 Peter 2:5 KJV).

To connect is to complete all formalities or righteousness to get your details and bio data into the Churches data base. To continue is to make and keep a commitment to make it to all fellowship meetings of the church and continue in the teaching and faith of the apostle of the Church.

Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. (42)  And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers (Acts 2:41-42 KJV).

The early disciples connected with church. Jesus feeds his sheep in folds and flocks; under shepherds, hence the need to;

  1. Visit the Church
  2. Complete membership formalities
  3. Belong to the church
  4. Be accountable to the pastor
  5. Keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
  6. Be loyal and faithful to the church
  7. Represent the church brand

Today’s Prayer

Dear Lord,

I thank You for planting me in a church family. I now understand that my very prosperity and sustenance depend on my connection to Your body as a branch depends on its connection to the vine. Please raise me up as a lively stone to offer spiritual sacrifices that You desire. And help me to never separate myself from Your body, in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!
