Catching the Anointing for Higher Performance

Dear Pastor,
Never delegate your core ministry to anyone. Take charge and run your own race with zeal!Originally published at highcity.org

I want to touch on catching the anointing for higher performance. One of the key ingredients for high performance is the anointing.

[1 Kings 19:15-21 KJV] “And the Lord said unto him, Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus: and when thou comest, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria: [16] And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel: and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel-meholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room. [17] And it shall come to pass, that him that escapeth the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay: and him that escapeth from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay. [18] Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.”

[19] “So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him. [20] And he left the oxen, and ran after Elijah, and said, Let me, I pray thee, kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow thee. And he said unto him, Go back again: for what have I done to thee? [21] And he returned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen, and slew them, and boiled their flesh with the instruments of the oxen, and gave unto the people, and they did eat. Then he arose, and went after Elijah, and ministered unto him.”

We must all strive to catch the anointing and press on with it. The onus lies on you to strive to catch the anointing. Don’t wait to be drawn, rather, decide, arise, go after, and serve the anointed.

The truth is, leading is much easier when the following is by will and not by compulsion or necessity. I have a counsel for church leaders; don’t compel anyone to follow you; continue steadfastly in evangelism, prophecy and prayer, and branding. Dear Pastor, keep running your own race. Don’t delegate your core ministry to anyone. Don’t! They will control and manipulate you! Take charge and run with zeal.

Many of you are struggling with leading and shepherding and are left doubting your own call because you are trying to lead a people who are not following. Your calling is to preach the gospel to the nations, feed those who gather, and raise those who are faithful.

Don’t try to buy loyalty or love with money. Don’t try to impress anyone. Don’t try to prove any point. It is the devil’s trap! Leave people to decide and for themselves. When God told Elijah to go and anoint Elisha, the Bible says Elijah did what God told him and left. When Elisha said “let me go and put one or two things together and then I’ll come and follow you”, he immediately retorted “what have I done to you?”

Elisha needed to decide, arise, go after and serve the Anointed. These are the simple secrets to catch the anointing for higher performance. I pray that the Lord will anoint and bless you with His anointing.

I love you!

Releasing the Anointing for Fresh Encounters

You may stumble, you may fall! But God will keep you going. He will lift you up and order your steps!Originally published at highcity.org

[Psalm 37:23-27 KJV] “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord : and he delighteth in his way. [24] Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand. [25] I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. [26] He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed. [27] Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore”.

I pray that the Lord shall release upon His church an anointing that will give each of us divine encounters that will shape our perspectives for the new things He is about to do. We don’t want to be like Jerusalem who missed the day of their visitation. We want to be wide awake and ready when the Lord shall come. This year 2020, none of us shall miss our appointed times. We shall be at the right spot at the right time for the experiences that will shape our perspectives for the new things God is about to do.

Just like Saul and his servant appeared at the right place at the right time to have an encounter that shaped his mind and heart for the new things God was about to do, you shall be at the right place. We are going to follow the leadings of God and not miss Him by the way. No man will take your place. Divine providence shall arrange your timings and steps for you to be at the right place at the right time.

All through the year, you shall testify that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. Your steps will be ordered by God; just be good. I say a prayer over your life; You will not miss your seasons and times”. You will not miss the way. The Lord shall order your steps, Amen!

You may stumble; you may fall! But God will keep you going. The Lord shall lift you; just be good and your steps will be ordered by God. You may stumble, you may fall, but the Lord will uphold you. You shall not utterly be cast down. You shall not be forsaken! Your descendants shall not beg for bread.

Listen! Just be good, and the Lord will order your steps in His word. You will never regret.

  • Just be righteous
  • Be merciful
  • Lend to many
  • Depart from evil and do good

A single encounter can change your life and set you on the path of greatness and fruitfulness. May you have a series of fresh encounters with the people and the power of God. May God order your steps and deliver you from danger! May you never miss your determined moments with destiny and greatness!

May the Lord arrange your meeting with destiny shapers like Samuel, with acquaintances, with kingdom investors, and with a company of prophets! May the Lord deliver each of us from evil company that corrupts good manners! May you never make a mistake!

Be blessed, I love you!

Honour the Anointing

If you honour the grace of God on my life and on this ministry, we will do a lot more than we are seeing now.

Familiarity has killed, stolen and destroyed many thingsOriginally published at highcity.org

[Mark 6:1-15 KJV] “And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him. [2] And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands? [3] Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him. [4] But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. [5] And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. [6] And he marvelled because of their unbelief.”

“And he went round about the villages, teaching. [7] And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits; [8] And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse: [9] But be shod with sandals; and not put on two coats. [10] And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place. [11] And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city. [12] And they went out, and preached that men should repent. [13] And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them . [14] And king Herod heard of him ; (for his name was spread abroad:) and he said, That John the Baptist was risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him. [15] Others said, That it is Elias. And others said, That it is a prophet, or as one of the prophets”.

Sometimes, it is time to change, when the context of operation changes. The anointing yields mighty results when it is honoured. Most often, the secret is the anointing. What you are honouring is the anointing and not necessarily the person. We read how our Lord Jesus Christ, could do no mighty works in His hometown and among His own people because of their unbelief, except to lay hands on a few sick people and heal them.

In the first six verses, we read about how the Lord could there do no mighty works, but in the next 9 verses, we read of how His disciples (His apprentices) did mighty works. The works were so mighty that even King Herod believed that it was John who had risen from the dead. Familiarity and dishonour will rob us of possible blessings we could enjoy. If the disciples of the man can work such mighty works, then what went wrong at Nazareth? UNBELIEF!

The Lord did not waste His time persuading people who did not respect Him. He told His disciples to leave every coast where they are disrespected. If you stay round dishonour for so long, you’ll lose self value and esteem.

You see that right after their dishonour, He changed the context of operation. He now began to send them out. He change His modus operandi. I pray that we will never get to the point where I need to change my mode of operation.

For instance, if you honour the anointing, I don’t even need to lay hands on you. Just a word will deliver the healing, miracle, or the break through you’re seeking. If you honour the grace of God on my life and on this ministry, we will do a lot more than we are seeing now.

Familiarity has killed, stolen and destroyed many things. I pray that each one of us shall Honour the anointing and protect its sanctity.

Be blessed

The Dynamics of the Anointing and the Working of Miracles Among Us

Without the proclamation of faith, there is no release of power nor working of miracles. What God can do in your life is determined by what you have believed. You faith will determine your results.Originally published at highcity.org

[Galatians 3:5-6 KJV] “He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? [6] Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness”.

The power of God to save the world is the gospel, but the gospel does not save anyone until it is preached or declared.

[Romans 1:16 KJV] “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek”.

[1 Corinthians 1:21-22 KJV] “For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. [22] For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:”

It is the preaching of the word that works the miracles and releases the anointing of the Holy Spirit. God anoints and works miracles in your life by the secret of the hearing of faith. Without the proclamation of faith, there is no release of power nor working of miracles. What God can do in your life is determined by what you have believed. You faith will determine your results.

Where then does faith come from? What is the source of faith? And how does it work for us?;

1. The source of Faith is the hearing by the word of God:

The source of faith is the hearing by the word. The word of God you hear defines the faith you will wield as a shield.

[Romans 10:17 KJV] “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

It is important to understand that dead or dormant faith cannot deliver great results. You must activate and awaken your faith in order to deliver.

2. The Spirit of faith is prayer, seeking, and declaration;

The spirit of faith is prayer and declaration. Every child of God who wants to win must declare what he or she wants to see. If you shut your mouth, both your mouth and your life will stink.

[2 Corinthians 4:13‭-‬14 KJV] “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; [14] Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you”.

Understand that the word of God is His power; because where the word of the king is, there is power, but this power is dormant until it is activated through prayer, confession, declarations, and thanksgiving. The Lord was speaking to Israel when He said, “I have thought about you, I have made a promise, I have sent my prophets; but when the time comes, you must remind me. You must come and seek Me and seek Me with all of your heart. When the time comes, put Me in remembrance but don’t come justifying yourself”.

[Isaiah 43:26 KJV] “Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified”.

Although the Scripture says declare thou, you are not supposed to make any arguments to justify yourself. Rather, you must declare the word of the Lord which He spoke to you by the word of the prophets. Speak of His goodness and that word will justify you.

[Jeremiah 29:10‭-‬14 KJV] “For thus saith the Lord , That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place. [11]  For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord , thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. [12]  Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. [13]  And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the Lord : [14]  and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the Lord ; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive”.

Even after God has declared His word by His prophets, faith only takes effect when we begin to pray and seek Him with all of our hearts.

3. Secret to possessing what the word declares, is to walk in the steps of faith of our father Abraham:

The secret to possessing the promise, to the anointing and to miracles, is to walk in the steps of the faith of our Abraham.

[Romans 4:12 KJV] “And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised”.

What then are the steps of faith of Abraham? When he was called to leave his father and his kindred, he left not knowing where he was going.

And when he arrived at the promised land, he dwelt in tents because he was looking for a city whose builder and designer is God. Abraham did not love the world nor anything in it.

Although he had every opportunity to have returned, he kept pressing forward. He counted God faithful.

May the Lord be our helper. May you walk in the grace and authority of the word. You shall not fail, you shall succeed. Stay blessed!

I love you;

Secrets to the Anointing

I believe with all my heart that God will anoint and empower us with His Spirit. You will not be the same as you engage these truths.Originally published at highcity.org

What is the secret to the anointing? I will share just a few;

1. The first secret to the anointing is fulfilling all righteousness:

The Lord Jesus received the Holy Ghost because He permitted John the Baptist to fulfill all righteousness. You can run off and arrogantly do what you want, but the secret to an enduring anointing is to fulfill all righteousness. There are some protocols provided for in Scripture and regarding your relationship with your apostle. God is not an author of confusion, He,  therefore, wants us to fulfill all righteousness. He will not ask you to do anything contrary to harmony and peace. (See Matthew 3:13-15)

2. The second secret to the anointing is waiting in seclusion or with people of like faith:

Be willing to wait in seclusion in either a mountain, wilderness or in an upper room.

In Exodus 34:29, 31-33, we learn that when Moses returned from the mountain after 40 days and nights, his face began to shine as the sun and Israel fled from him. Waiting in seclusion is important to the anointing. As we stay in the presence of the Lord, His nature and Spirit robs on us. When Moses stayed in the mountain for 40 days and nights in the mountain, he came back shining as the sun.

In Luke 4:1, 14, we learn that Our Lord Jesus waited in the wilderness; the Bible did not even clarify whether He prayed or not, but He endured and returned with power. As we wait, power will rub on us. Waiting is a master key to the anointing. That is why we must learn to spend hours upon hours in His presence.

Remember in Acts 2:1-10, the early church waited in the upper room and the Holy Ghost came in as a mighty rushing wind. The early church spent time praying, singing, and studying the word. They spent about 10 days in the upperroom just waiting.

Acts 4:23, 31-33 teaches us that as the early church gathered to pray, the place where they stood shook and they were filled with power.

3. Another secret to the anointing is faith, thirst, and yieldedness:

John 7:37-39, we learn that, “if any man thirst, let him come and drink”. The Bible teaches that those who believe shall recieve the Spirit – the promised Spirit (Galatians 3:1-5)

4. Another secret to the anointing is to repent and be baptised:

This is one of the first secrets and steps to the anointing that was shared by the early apostles of Christ. When the devout men that had gathered on the day of Pentecost asked what they should do? Apostle Peter answered quickly, “repent and be baptized, then you shall recieve the Holy Ghost”.

[Acts 2:37‭-‬39 KJV] “Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? (38) Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (39) For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call”.

5. Love righteousness and hate iniquity:

When you love righteousness and hate iniquity, the Lord anoints you with the oil of joy far above your fellows. God anoints those who love righteousness and hate iniquity. Hebrews 1:9 KJV (Also in Psalm 45:7) teaches clearly that, “Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.” The Lord anoints those who love righteousness and hate iniquity.

6. Sit and learn at the feet of an anointing person, teacher or prophet:

The words they speak are spirit and life. Remember, when apostle Peter went to the house of Cornelius, the Holy Ghost fell on the household as they listened to him testifying. Don’t just listen as listening to words but listen with your spirit. As the apostle Peter spoke to them the Holy Ghost feel on them. Acts 10:44‭-‬47 KJV tells us that, “While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. (45)  And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. (46)  For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, (47)  Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?”

The Bible tells us that we recieve the Holy Ghost by the hearing by faith. The hearing of faith opens your spirit to recieve the anointing.

7. Be taught in the things of the Spirit and have hands laid on you:

When apostle Paul taught and laid hands on the men at Ephesus, they received the Holy Ghost and prayed in tongues and prophesied (See Acts 19:1-7). What you don’t know will keep you from what you can become. When you know, you know.

8. Relate and associate closely with the anointing:

Aside spending time in the presence of God, those who associate with the anointing and with the Holy Spirit closely get rubbed on. When Elisha related with Elijah, he caught the anointing on his life. Even merely reading books written by the anointed man can lead to a transferrance.

I believe with all my heart that God will anoint and empower us with His Spirit. You will not be the same as you engage these truths. May the person and presence of God begin to fill you. Be blessed!

I love you;

The Secret of the Early Church

Power was the secret of the early church and we cannot do otherwise. We must crave and wait for the power. The Holy Spirit is the key to growth and crowd.Originally published at highcity.org

[Luke 24:45-49 KJV] “Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, [46] And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: [47] And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. [48] And ye are witnesses of these things. [49] And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high”.

The secret of the early church is power. They waited in the city until they were endued with power from on high. The early church knew that without power from above, they were vulnerable. They needed the power to function and operate.

The early church walked in the power of the Holy Ghost. Indeed, this was the reason why they did not fulfill the desires of the flesh. The early church walked by the Spirit. They knew and walked with the Holy Ghost, and most of them walked in the dominion of the name of Christ.

Where is the power in today’s church? Even our preaching comes with the enticing words of a man’s wisdom, instead of the demonstration of the Spirit and power. I pray that the Lord shall lead us into the closet of prayer once again. The Lord has always desired that we shall be a church that is endued with power. We cannot win, except by power. The power will set us apart and make us take charge.

We must wait until we are endued with power from on high. The world is not sympathetic at all, so we must learn to walk in dominion. The days have come when the world fights the church and everything Christian. But you must not fail this generation. Power was the secret of the early church and we cannot do otherwise. We must crave and wait for the power. The Holy Spirit is the key to growth and crowd. Be blessed!

You are Destined to Possess the Gates of Your Enemies

Science is advancing, witches are also progressing, yet many in the church are backsliding. The time has come, and now is, for us to arise and progress towards dominionOriginally published at highcity.org

[Genesis 22:16-18 KJV] “And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord , for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son : [17] That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; [18] And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice”.

As descendants of Abraham, there is a blessing and covenant left for us. A blessing that together with our descendants we shall possess the gates of our enemies, and be a blessing to all nations. None of us must be  father a weak child, or fail in life. Together with our progeny, we must possess the gates of the enemy. We must be mighty men and women, and fathers and mothers to mighty men and women as well. Our children must make it, they cannot fail in life.

If we shall possess the gates of our enemy indeed, then four things are key:

  1. The right upbringing
  2. The right attitudes towards life
  3. The anointing
  4. The right network and company

These are the four things that will empower and equip us to possess the gates of the enemy.

1. We must train, retrain, and train and train again:

The Bible tells us to train up a child the way he should go and when he grows up, he will not depart from it. This shows clearly that children will not just grow into great adults; they must be raised. What training are we giving to our children? Are we training them, or we have just left them? Please remember that schools do not train children; parents do. Let us arise and begin to train and raise our kings and priests of the next generation. Be committed to training.

2. Be courageous and positive:

The Bible tells us again that as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Your children’s outlook to life will affect their behavior and how well they can cope with what life throws at them.

May the Lord help us to have the right attitude towards life. May you build a strong spirit that cannot easily be broken. May we raise strong and mighty children. I pray that you keep hope alive.

3. Seek to be anointed:

We need the anointing and the Holy Ghost. The Bible tells us that we shall receive power after the Holy Ghost is come upon us. The anointing is what it takes to act as a different man. The anointing transforms us into supernatural personalities. The anointing is the enabling factor that transforms men and women into giant-killers. We must teach our children the secrets to the anointing, and teach them to love the presence of God.

4. Finally, avoid all evil communications:

Evil communication corrupts good manners. The Bible says that, “he that is friends with a harlot is a great waster;” and “he that is friends with an angry man will learn of his ways and be destroyed”. Your network will determine your net worth. Be careful of the kind of company that you allow yourself or your children to keep. Evil company will corrupt your good nurtured children.

Listen! Science is advancing, witches are also progressing, yet many in the church are backsliding. The time has come, and now is, for us to arise and progress towards dominion. This is the time to rise and desire and find power. I pray that each of us will arise as a mother and raise children who can possess the gates of their enemies. God loved Abraham because he led his children after God. May you be strong enough to lead your children after God. Be blessed.

I love you;

Little Practices that Make a Big Difference

What little things that makes a big difference in worship? We will be focus on six other things that makes a big differenceOriginally published at highcity.org

Today, we will be sharing on little things that makes a big difference in worship. We will be focus on six other things that makes a big difference;

1. Water baptism:

By water baptism, we conform to the death of Christ and rise to the newness of life. The Bible tells us that as many as are baptised into Christ were baptized into His death. Indeed, if we were baptised in His death, then as we rise up with Him, we rise to walk in the newness of life. Baptism in water is in the likeness of being buried and rising to the newness of life.

[Romans 6:3-5 KJV] “Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? [4] Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. [5] For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:”

2. Laying on of hands:

The laying on of hands is one of the greatest mysteries of the Bible. By the simple act of laying on of hands, spiritual virtues are transferred. You receive gifts and virtue from God. The servant of God, Timothy, received grace when Paul, the apostle, laid his hands on him.

[2 Timothy 1:6 KJV] “Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands”.

3. Anointing with oil:

The anointing with oil releases the grace of God for healing, liberation, consecration, and empowerment. The practice of anointing with oil is age long and very necessary for ‘breaking limits’. If anyone among us is sick, the prayer of faith heals him when he is anointed with oil.

[James 5:14 KJV] “Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:”

4. Offering of your substance:

Your offerings, seeds, tithes, and alms are the keys to unlocking the windows of heaven upon your storehouse.

[Malachi 3:10 KJV] “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it”.

When we learn to honour the Lord with our substance and the first fruits of our increase, He fills our barns with plenty and our presses burst with new wine.

[Proverbs 3:9‭-‬10 KJV] “Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:[10] So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine”.

5. The cup and bread of blessing:

The communion is the secret to eternal life. By the mystery of the communion, mortal men inherit the life of God. When we eat the communion, the life of God enters into us. We have a new life and that life flourishes through communion.

[John 6:53-58 KJV] “Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. [54] Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. [55] For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. [56] He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. [57] As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. [58] This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever”.

6. The hearing of faith:

There are four key things that the hearing of faith does. Soaking in the word brings faith, directs us, releases miracles and anointing. (See Romans 10:17, 1 Corinthians 4:7, Galatians 3:5)

[Ezekiel 2:1‭-‬2 KJV] “And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee. [2] And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me”.

These are little things we take for granted but makes a big difference in our worship. May the Lord help us to return to some of these foundations for maximum benefit and impact.

Be blessed;

Taking a Step to the Anointing

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity; He is Himself, God. He is the Comforter sent to help the churchOriginally published at highcity.org

Day 10 of 21 Days of Breaking Limits

[Luke 11:13 KJV] “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?”

One person who can help us take every illegal limits off our lives is the Holy Spirit. On this 10th day of Breaking limits, we want to take one simple step to the anointing; fasting and prayer. We are praying for the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity; He is Himself, God. He is the Comforter sent to help the church.

When the Holy Spirit comes upon us, Many things begin to happen. There is so much that begin to change upon His arrival;

1. He comes to dwell with and in us to help our infirmities, and by Him, we are enabled to pray as we ought to

[Romans 8:26 KJV] “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered”.

2. He quickens our mortal bodies and makes us strong;

[Romans 8:11 KJV] “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you”.

[Acts 1:8 KJV] “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth”.

3. He teaches and leads us into all truth (See Acts 13:1-5)

4. He lifts a standard against the enemy that rises against us;

[Isaiah 59:19 KJV] “So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him”.

5. He brings fruitfulness and increase

6. He flows through us as rivers of living waters to heal our lives;

[John 7:37-39 KJV] “In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. [38] He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. [39] (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given ; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)”

7. He refreshes and fills us with fresh fire when we run to him in fear;

[Acts 4:24,31 KJV] “And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is: [31] And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness”.

Prayer Points;

#1. In-filling and Fresh Baptism;

Dear Father, You told us that You give the Holy Spirit to those who ask. Father we stand here and desire only one thing, that You give us the Holy Spirit. Father, anoint us with power and with the Spirit. Fill us with Yourself. We don’t need anything; We want you. This is Your house, we welcome You. Come and live in us and do Your work.

Come and dwell in us by Your Spirit. We are Your body on earth and Your dwelling place. We are trusting You to fill us with Your Holy Spirit and work through us.

Our prayer today is that we want the in-filling and fresh baptism of power. Acts 10:38 teaches that, “God anointed Jesus Christ of Nazareth and he went about doing good”. The Holy Spirit is the most important person on earth to day; and we need Him for effective function.

#2. Quickening Power;

Oh God! quicken our mortal bodies and make us strong to serve You. Heal our mortal bodies! Make us quick and strong, and enable us to walk in health and newness.

Dear God, make us strong! You said that we shall recieve power after that the Holy Spirit comes upon us. Let your rain come upon us once more. Give us power and let us walk in power. Dear God, make us strong. Give us power. We need Your power now more than before; please give us power (See Acts 1:8)

#3. Direction of the Spirit;

Holy Spirit, visit us now as You did in the early church. Give us direction for the coming days. We don’t know what we have to do, which way to take, and when to do what. So lead us! We yield to You, lead us!

Show us where to go, who should go, and when to go. Speak to us as we wait on You. (See Acts 13:1-5)

#4. Great Geace;

Fresh fire! let it fall! Oh God, fill us now! Fill and ordain us with great grace for greater works – the works of Christ. Holy Spirit, come upon, into and with us. Holy Spirit fall afresh on us (See Acts 4:23)

#5. Victory on the Mission Field;

We pray that the Holy Spirit will come and lift a standard against the enemy.

Give us access to the mission field. Resist the enemy and lead us to greener pastures. Lord! Let Your Spirit lift a standard against the enemy (See Isaiah 59:19)

#6. Utterance

Dear Holy Spirit, give us utterance! Help us to speak and pray and sing as we ought to. Help our infirmities and help us to pray aright. Flow through us as a river and heal our lives. Heal us now. Heal our lives and let us win. Flow through us into the world as a river of life.

#7. Empowerment

Father, empower and make us fruitful. You said “our lands will remain a wilderness until the spirit be poured.” Pour Your Spirit upon us one more time. We need You, we need power! Touch and heal us again!

I pray that today will mark the beginning of a great anointing on our lives!

Be blessed; I love you!

Dominate by the Anointing

We are called and graced and sent to preach the gospel, cast out devils, heal the sick, cleanse lepers, and raise the deadOriginally published at highcity.org

[Acts 10:38 KJV] “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him”.

We know that we are called and graced to preach the gospel to the nations. We are called and graced and sent to preach the gospel, cast out devils, heal the sick, cleanse lepers, and raise the dead. This involves travelling, preaching the word, starting local church meetings, ordaining elders, and confirming the souls of men. We can carry out this mandate if we begin to dominate by the anointing.

Matthew 14:10-36, we learn five secrets from the life of the Lord on how to dominate by the anointing. We learn that when the Lord Jesus Christ heard that John Baptist had been beheaded and buried by his disciples, He departed from the city and went into the wilderness but the crowd followed and He ministered to them. If you read the story carefully you will learn that to dominate by the anointing as the Lord did, you must;

Be a self-starter:

There are times when you must know what to do. You may not always have someone to tell you what to do. You must be a self-starter.

Walk in wisdom:

When the Lord heard that John the Baptist had been beheaded, He left the city and went into the wilderness. You must have the wisdom move away from danger. You must discern what must be done at any point in time. The anointing is for impact and not for decoration. May the Lord release upon us great grace and wisdom to win!

Be people oriented:

As the saying goes, “live for yourslef and you will live in vain, but live for others and you will in their hearts forever. Our Lord Jesus Christ was a man of the people. When He saw the people, He was moved with compassion. He served them with compassion, empathy, and consideration. You will have domnion when you are people oriented. You will rule when you seek to serve people rather than looking for people to serve you.

Be spiritually conscious in preparation but don’t be superstitious:

You don’t need a prophet to tell you something is working against you; there is a thief out there. There is an adversary out there, there are wicked and unreasonable men out there. The Lord spent hours alone in the mountains and when He stepped out, He dominated even the storms. Even though those who rule prepare constantly, you must still be spiritually conscious. Be in prayer and continue in prayer.

Always be there to lend a helping hand:

There are times when people around you get hit by a storm; if they do, don’t push them down further, but stretch out and help them immediately. Do not withhold good from them that it is due when it is in your power to do so. Lend a helping hand. Job was in charge because he was the eyes to the blind, ears to the deaf, mouth to the dumb, and limbs to the lame. The blessing of them that were ready to perish was upon him (See Job 29).

Hallelujah!

Be blessed; I love you
