Continue in the Faith!

We know that we must through many tribulations enter the kingdom. The apostle exhorted the church to continue in the faith.Originally published at highcity.org

[Acts 14:21-28 KJV] “And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch, [22] Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. [23] And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.

[24] And after they had passed throughout Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia. [25] And when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down into Attalia: [26] And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled. [27] And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles. [28] And there they abode long time with the disciples”.

We know that the purpose of God is to save and translate all men from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His Son, that we might serve Him to our full potential.

There are many evil forces that are trying to keep you from ever leaving the kingdom of darkness or ever serving God with your full potential. These evil forces do not want you to leave or ever serve God; even if you would, they do not want you to go far or all out. Yet, you must go all out for God.

These evil forces however do not work in vacuum, they work through demons, authorities and people or things you love, attitudes and complexes, habits and addictions, norms and patterns, elements of nature, and conspiracy of nations and kings contrary to your destiny and prosperity.

Evil forces, through these enumerated doors, try to place limits on you. They try to impede your speed through manipulations and fear; but in this season of 21 Days, the limits must be broken.

On this 19th day, we decide to continue in the faith. We know that we must through many tribulations enter the kingdom. The apostle exhorted the church to continue in the faith.

The five simple secrets to continue in the faith are;

1. Pray without ceasing;

1 Thessalonians 5:17 teaches us to pray without ceasing. That is the secret to not fainting or growing weary. Luke 18:1-8 buttresses this key point of action.

2. Attending every sanctioned service and fellowship with the brethren;

Hebrews 10:25-26 teaches us not to forsake the assembling together of ourselves as some are in the habit of doing.

[Hebrews 10:25-26 KJV] “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is ; but exhorting one another : and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. [26] For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,”

3. Reach out to the lost with the word, and the vulnerable with help;

Matthew 25:35-36, and Luke 14:21 teaches that we must reach out to the lost, maimed, halt, and others with the gospel and with help.

[Matthew 25:35-36 KJV] “For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: [36] Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me”.

4. Do your business with quietness while you look for the second coming of the Lord;

1 Thessalonians 4:17, John 14:1-4 and Hebrews 9:27-28 teach that the Lord is coming back sooner than later to take us home. We will be going home and we will be with Jesus forever.

[1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 KJV] “And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; [12] That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing”.

[John 14:1-4 KJV] “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. [2] In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so , I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. [3] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. [4] And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know”.

[Hebrews 9:27-28 KJV] “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: [28] So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation”.

5. Walk in the way, by the truth and the life;

It is a journey with Jesus; He is the way the truth and the life. If any man shall go in and out by Him, that man will find pasture.

I believe without doubt that if you walk by these guidelines, you will finish well.

Be blessed!

Run with Patience!

The vision is for an appointed time. It may tarry but it shall not fail, wait for it. Originally published at highcity.org

[Hebrews 12:1‭-‬2 KJV] “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, [2] Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God”.

We know that the purpose of God is to save and translate all men from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His Son, that we might serve Him.

We also know that there are many evil forces that are trying to keep you from ever leaving the kingdom of darkness or ever serving God with your full potential. These evil forces do not want you to leave or ever serve God; even if you would, they do not want you to go far or all out. Yet, you must go all out for God.

Well, when you finally leave the house of bondage and the limits are all broken, it is important to remember that success does not happen overnight. Vision and success are always for an appointed time. God’s word for us in this day of the fast is to wait for the vision to speak for itself.

The Bible therefore teaches us in Habakkuk 2:1-4 that, it is important for the just to stand upon their watch, and set themselves upon the tower, and watch to see what He will say unto them, and what they shall answer when they are reproved.

The prophet continues:

[Habakkuk 2:2-3 KJV]
“And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. [3] For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry”.

I don’t know how long you have been running and journeying with the vision. I have no idea how long it has been since you started believing and waiting for an answer to your life’s pressing need, but one thing is sure; the vision is for an appointed time. It may tarry but can’t fail. Though, it may delay, wait for it. It shall not lie.

Many of us become impatient when we see the seeming success of others. The word of God is telling us not to allow the success of others to make us impatient. As a matter of fact, many of the people who walk around arrogantly and talk proudly as if they have succeeded are only making a show. The success and results they display are not real.

[Habakkuk 2:4 KJV] “Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith”.

Many of the show off’s you see which make you impatient and discouraged are either not real or gotten through unjust means.

Pay attention to the following verses:

[Habakkuk 2:5-6 KJV] “Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people: [6] Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, …”

The Bible says many of the people displaying wealth and success, and posting photos and videos on social media are in a charade. They are only making appearances. How many times have you seen Bill Gates or Steve Jobs displaying their latest car on social media? Even the CEO of Facebook does not show his face everyday on facebook.

They are drunk and proud, and the wine of pride and vanity makes them not to stay at home; they have taken voyages and gone on risky trips. Their pride and greed and enlarged appetites make them embark on stupid and silly adventures. Many travel to the Middle East and on other dangerous trips just to seek greener pastures and amass wealth. Many have embarked on senseless adventures and have lost their faith and their place in God.

Indeed, soon and very soon, those who know them will use them as a proverb. They will become windows in our preaching. Some have left their place and callings to seek greener pastures? Haha hahaha! Soon the nations will take up a proverb against them as we do about Lot’s wife. We say, “remember Lot’s wife”

I pray for you that you will not lose your place.

Indeed, the limits are broken but don’t lose the vision and cast off restraint. The limits were not broken for you to be unruly, uncontrollable, and untamed. The limits are broken to enable you to serve God and go all out for Him. The limits were not broken for you to indulge in silly pleasures and sins.

Don’t rush! Be patient and run the race that is set before you. Once you run steady and faithfully we will get there.

If you don’t want to be a byword and a proverb, then;

1. Don’t increase with that which is not yours; neither laden yourself with thick clay to disguise;

Wealth and success gotten through unjust means will never endure.

[Habakkuk 2:6-8 KJV] “… Woe to him that increaseth that which is not his! how long? and to him that ladeth himself with thick clay! [7] Shall they not rise up suddenly that shall bite thee, and awake that shall vex thee, and thou shalt be for booties unto them? [8] Because thou hast spoiled many nations, all the remnant of the people shall spoil thee; because of men’s blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein”.

Your pace may seem slow, but once it is by a just means, your success will endure.

2. Don’t covet with an evil covetousness, to break other people’s house, their marriage, or their business to build yours;

[Habakkuk 2:9-11 KJV] “Woe to him that coveteth an evil covetousness to his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of evil! [10] Thou hast consulted shame to thy house by cutting off many people, and hast sinned against thy soul. [11] For the stone shall cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the timber shall answer it”.

If you break another’s house to build your walls, even the stones will cry out against you from the walls.

3. Don’t build a town with blood nor establish a city by iniquity;

Don’t water down the doctrine because you want the church to grow. Don’t lower your standards because you want to marry at all cost. Soon the knowledge of the truth shall fill the earth and you will be ashamed.

[Habakkuk 2:12-14 KJV] “Woe to him that buildeth a town with blood, and stablisheth a city by iniquity! [13] Behold, is it not of the Lord of hosts that the people shall labour in the very fire, and the people shall weary themselves for very vanity? [14] For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord , as the waters cover the sea”.

4. Don’t get people intoxicated and mesmerized with wine, or charm, lies,  drama, or magic just to take advantage of them;

If you do so, in no time, shame shall stain your honor; you will be disgraced. Please always tell people the truth. Don’t lie to me just because you need something from me, people will not be foolish forever.

[Habakkuk 2:15-18 KJV] “Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him , and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness! [16] Thou art filled with shame for glory: drink thou also, and let thy foreskin be uncovered: the cup of the Lord’s right hand shall be turned unto thee, and shameful spewing shall be on thy glory. [17] For the violence of Lebanon shall cover thee, and the spoil of beasts, which made them afraid, because of men’s blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein. [18] What profiteth the graven image that the maker thereof hath graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusteth therein, to make dumb idols?

5. Don’t worship dumb idols;

They have no breath and your foolishness will soon be exposed.

[Habakkuk 2:19-20 KJV] “Woe unto him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it is laid over with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the midst of it. [20] But the Lord is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him”.

Beloved, I came to exhort you that the vision is for an appointed time. It may tarry but it shall not fail, wait for it. This church will grow. Your business will do well in its season, wait for it. You shall not fail! Just look unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

Be blessed; I love you!

Breaking the Influence of Limiting Factors

In this session, let us learn seven master keys to break the influence of limiting factors and restraints.Originally published at highcity.org

[Exodus 8:28 KJV] “And Pharaoh said, I will let you go, that ye may sacrifice to the Lord your God in the wilderness; only ye shall not go very far away: entreat for me”.

We know from the previous session that the purpose of God is to save and translate all men from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His dear Son that we might serve Him. He sent to tell Pharaoh, “let my people go that they might serve me;”. In the afore text, we learn how after many miracles Pharaoh agreed to let Israel go, but he wouldn’t let them go far.

The Pharaoh does not want you to serve God; even if you would, he does not want you to go far, or to go all out. Pharoah does not want you to go far but we must go all out for God.

In this session, let us learn seven master keys to break the influence of limiting factors and restraints.

7 keys to break the influence of limiting factors;

1. Striving to know God;

Daniel 11:32 teaches that “those who do know their God shall wax strong and do exploits”.

That is why the apostle Paul would count all things, whatever he was and had, as dung that he might win and know Christ.

Those who do know their God overcome their fear and timidity and weaknesses, and begin to grow strong to do exploits; hence the need to spend time, quality time, to know God.

2. Invoke the voice of the blood of sprinkling;

Hebrews 12:24 teaches that we have come to the blood of sprinkling which speaks better things than the blood of Abel. The communion table is a table of blessing and liberation. The communion table is an altar of healing, liberation, and prosperity. As we partake of the communion we invoke the voice of the blood of sprinkling against the influence of limiting factors. Where there was death, life comes in; where there was weakness, His strength takes over.

3. Offerings and tithes;

Malachi 3:10 assures us that when we bring the tithes and the offerings and seeds to the storehouses and to the priest, we commit God to keep helping and blessing us. The Lord therefore arises to rebuke devourers and demonic spirits.

4. The anointing of the Holy Spirit;

Isaiah 10:27 teaches that the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing. The anointing empowers and enriches us to break the yoke. The anointing transforms the weak into mighty men of valour. The anointing turned the fearful and timid Peter into a bold fearless preacher. The anointing breaks the influence of the limiting factors from off your life.

5. Faith;

Mark 11:22-24 teaches that if we have faith as a mustard seed, we shall say to mountains to be moved and be cast into the sea and they shall move. Faith moves mountains and turns impossibilities into possibilities. Faith breaks limits. Faith will take you far. Faith is a master key.

6. Courage and strength;

Ephesians 6:10-18 teaches us to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Fear has a way of tormenting and paralyzing you. Fear kills, fear has venom! You can go all out for God when you are strong and courageous. Be strong and be courageous.

7. The wisdom and commandments of a father

In Genesis 27:39-40, we understand that even though Isaac could not bless Esau, his counsel helped the young man to break all limits and odds that were against him.

Ruth found love again and was married because Naomi was there to counsel her.

Sons and daughter must learn to open up to mothers and fathers. Many of us are cheated because we keep secret relationships. Naomi guided Ruth through the norms and customs of the Jews.

Remember Esther, she became queen through the counsel of Mordecai and the king’s chamberlain.

We know of Timothy, Titus, and other young ministers who excelled. How were they able to do so well? Through the counsel of a father, the apostle Paul.

Prayer and Benediction

#1.

I pray and decree that from today, the influence of every limiting factor is broken from off your life. You shall not be restrained and Controlled anymore. You are released to function in your full potential as the Lord shall grace you. (Enforce it in prayer!)

#2.

I pray that the Lord shall reveal Himself to us in His word, in dreams, in visions, by any means possible that we may know Him. May He show us both His works and ways! May He reveal Himself to us as He did to our fathers, Abraham, Moses, Paul, and Isaiah! Oh God, show us Your glory! (Enforce it in prayer!)

#3.

We invoke the voice of the blood of sprinkling right now! May the blood begin to speak better things concerning us! May the blood speak against curses and ordinances that were written against us!

Receive life, health, and peace by the speaking of the blood in the name of Jesus! (Enforce it in prayer!)

#4.

May the Lord give you the courage and humility to heed your father’s counsel! May you break limits as you walk in obedience. May the almighty empower you by the truth and counsel you need. May every yoke be broken off your neck in the name of Jesus Christ. (Enforce it in prayer)

#5.

Finally I decree a fresh outpouring of the Holy Ghost. May the Lord anoint you and strengthen you! May He renew a right spirit within you. Catch the anointing. Walk in the newness of power and grace. (Enforce it in prayer)

Now begin to bless the name of the Lord for an answered prayer.

Amen!

Stay blessed; I love you!

Unveiling the Sources of Limits

We exercise authority. We dominate and subdue kingdoms that rise contrary to the prosperity of the kingdom of God.Originally published at highcity.org

[Exodus 4:22‭-‬23 KJV] “And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the Lord , Israel is my son, even my firstborn: [23] And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn”.

God wants to save and translate you from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His dear son that you may serve Him as a son. He sent Moses with a word saying, “Let my people go that they may serve me.” The Lord wants us to go and serve Him, but many of us are held back by limits and mighty hands.

[Colossians 1:13 KJV] “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:”

In this conference, God wants to break every limit. He wants to release you to go all out for Him. We will be liberated to serve the Lord.

Any limits and boundaries that the devil placed on you that may not be exceeded or attained must break! Any restrictions and bounds that the devil said must not be broken shall be shattered! God has issued a decree to all the powers that hold you bound and restricted to let go of you that you might serve Him.

What are the sources of these limitations?

There are many sources of limits. Many of God’s precious children are bound but today will mark the beginning of liberation, healing, and defence as you advance in and through life. Below are seven of the many sources of restrictions that keeps many of us from advancing as God would have us:

1. Demonic and Satanic Sources;
The Bible tells us of the woman who was bound with the spirits of infirmity. She was bowed down for years. Obviously, her life had come to a stand still. The spirits of infirmity held her captive, but one encounter with the power of God liberated her. Receive your touch of power.

Remember the man of Gadara, he was bound by a legion and spent time in the tombs. He was wasting away because of the devils that had taken a hold of him. May the Lord touch and release us now! Become fully functional in the name of Jesus Christ!

I speak against any demonic control of your life. Receive the touch of power.

2. The Priority of Pharaoh;
The second source of limit and restrictions are the priorities of Pharaoh. Whereas God wanted Israel to go and serve Him, Pharaoh wouldn’t let them go, because he had cities to be built. He saw the demands of God and Moses as useless. He thought the people should rather spend time building his cities rather than going out to serve God.

Many of us are unable to serve God because the people of authority in our lives – our bosses, parents, spouses, leaders – have priorities that are contrary to the desires of God. They try to manipulate our lives to suit their parochial interest. Pharoah won’t let Israel go because he wanted them to build his cities.

I speak over your life now! May all such evil controls be broken in the name of Jesus Christ! May the church be released to go and serve God!

Any Pharaoh who won’t let the people go after many admonitions, is rebuked! May their evil hand be broken! Pharaoh will not let the people go because there was work to be done and cities to build. They had work to do. They had cities to build but God is also calling the people to go and serve him. Pharaoh saw a request to go serve God as idleness and a waste of human resources.

Even when he finally obliged, he did not want them to go far, go with their young, nor go with their cattle.

Pharaoh does not want you to serve God at all. Even if you would, he would rather that you don’t take things too far, nor allow your children to serve God, nor serve God with your resources.

[Exodus 8:28 KJV] “And Pharaoh said, I will let you go, that ye may sacrifice to the Lord your God in the wilderness; only ye shall not go very far away: entreat for me”.

[Exodus 10:8,24-27 KJV] “And Moses and Aaron were brought again unto Pharaoh: and he said unto them, Go, serve the Lord your God: but who are they that shall go? [24] And Pharaoh called unto Moses, and said, Go ye, serve the Lord ; only let your flocks and your herds be stayed: let your little ones also go with you. [25] And Moses said, Thou must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice unto the Lord our God. [26] Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not an hoof be left behind; for thereof must we take to serve the Lord our God; and we know not with what we must serve the Lord , until we come thither. [27] But the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he would not let them go”.

3. Complexes and Attitudes;
The third source of limits on life are complexes and bad attitudes. It is important to state that this is the time to refine your attitudes. Some of us have poor attitudes and unhelpful complexes; the earlier we changed the better. You know why? Well, it is because you can not fix with prayer what you destroyed with your attitude.

In psychology, a complex is a way of being, feeling, behaving or living. Now, 10 common complexes that fight success are:

  1. Oedipus/Electra complex: Having strong affection for a parent of the opposite sex.
  2. Madonna/whore complex: Men who see women as either a Madonna or a whore.
  3. God complex: Seeing one’s self as having God-like powers and not answerable to anyone.
  4. Persecution complex: An irrational feeling or fear of being ill-treated.
  5. Martyr complex: A person needing sympathy and attention by suffering (could even lead to self harm or deep depression)
  6. Inferiority complex: Feeling that you are not good enough in life. Israel had an inferiority complex.
  7. Superiority complex: Having a believe that you are better than everyone else
  8. Guilt complex: Always blaming yourself for things that go wrong (being self critical)
  9. Don Juan complex: Men who view women as a source of pleasure
  10. Hero complex: A person who always wants to be the center of attraction. They create situations of having to save someone.

4. Learnt Habits and Addictions;
Israel was addicted to the vegetables of Egypt. They missed the onions and garlic and carrots. Many people don’t go far because of addictions. Many people serve the lusts of the flesh and the eyes rather than God.

5. Social Norms and Cultural Practices;
Many African nations are poor because of social norms and cultural practices. A culture of corruption and mediocrity. Many of the times, our greatest limitations are from social norms and cultural practices.

Though Deborah could lead the armies to war, the social norms required that a man accompany her.

6. Relief Features and Elements of Nature;
Relief features are mountains, valleys, streams and rivers. Israel had to confront mountains, the seas, and the rains, droughts etc.

7. The League of Nations and Kings;
In Psalms, the kings of the earth and the nations stood against Israel and the Lord’s anointed, but God laughed them to scorn. Sanballat and Tobiah may arise, but God will be your defence. You shall take hold of a rod of iron and dash them in pieces.

These are 7 sources of limits that must be subdued. We must arise and deal with all these sources in the name of Jesus Christ. I speak over your life as the oracle of God and decree your release now!

Prayer points

#1. Dealing with demonic barriers;

By the authority given to me by the Lord, we command every demonic restriction to be broken now!

We rebuke the spirits of infirmity and possession operating in any life. We decree the release of destinies. The devil is a loser.

As we lift our hands and voices and pray, we lay hold on victory. We are winning over evil now! In the name of Jesus!

#2. Breaking the hold of Pharaoh;

Anybody restricting my advancement, by manipulations and control is losing his or her grips now! I break free from controlling  spirits to go and serve the Lord. Pharaoh must let go of me! Now! In the name of Jesus!

I decree the release of the people of God. I decree that every member of my family and the choir is liberated.

I invoke the voice of the blood of Jesus Christ against any contrary spirit in the name of Jesus!

#3. Dealing with complexes and attitudes;

I decree right now, that the Holy Spirit shall touch my mind and being and begin a transformation in me now! I decree that negative mind sets and complexes that lead to anti-social behavior that fights my progress is rebuked now.

I receive healing and rehabilitation. Oh God, heal us now! Heal our feelings and emotions! Set us free from bad attitudes and pride.

#4. Decree your freedom from poor habits and addictions;

I decree my freedom from poor habits and addictions. I decree now, that I will not be brought under the power of anything.

We command the chains to fall off now! Step up and find freedom from addictions and controlling spirits!

Break! Break!! Break!!!

#5. Dealing with unhealthy social norms and patterns;

Now! I decree that in the name of Jesus, my life will not follow any negative social norm or unhelpful pattern.

Conditions that limited and killed people in my family have no power over me. I break unhelpful cycles and patterns and culture.

I rebuke the demonic powers that enforce them. I decree the abolishing of norms and cultures that fight my life and the progress of the church, in the name of Jesus!

#6. Dealing with relief features and elements of nature;

I say to every hindering mountain to be moved now! I am exempted from natural disasters. I speak into the coming year, that the elements of nature and relief features shall work for our advantage and not against us.

The mountains will help us! The stars will fight along with us! The rivers shall carry away the adversary that rises against us.

#7. Dealing with kings and nations;

We take a hold of the rod of Iron. We dash in pieces kings and nations that rage against our advancement. We exercise authority. We dominate and subdue kingdoms that rise contrary to the prosperity of the kingdom of God. We take charge and rule with wisdom and authority.

Amen!

Be blessed; I love you!

Work Out Your own Salvation

It is time to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. You cannot do it any how. You must be diligent about it. Let us be careful, lest we fall short of the grace.Originally published at highcity.org

[Philippians 2:12-16 KJV] “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. [13] For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. [14] Do all things without murmurings and disputings: [15] That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; [16] Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

I want to exhort you today to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Salvation, from the Greek word ‘sozo’, means to save, heal, liberate, protect and to make whole. The Apostle is therefore exhorting us to work out our own salvation, healing, liberation, and protection with fear and trembling. That is to say, work it with carefulness; with all carefulness, work it out, so you don’t fail.

The apostle is saying “work out..” because salvation is instantaneous, continuous, and in the future.

You were saved the moment you heard, admitted, believed, and confessed the truth. (See Roman 10:9-13)

[Ephesians 2:8 KJV] “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:”

Now, we are being saved, and we shall be saved when the Lord shall come. That will be the climax and perfection of salvation.

[Romans 13:11 KJV] “And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed”.

It is time to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. You cannot do it any how. You must be diligent about it. Let us be careful, lest we fall short of the grace.

[Hebrews 12:15‭-‬16 KJV] “Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; [16] Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright”.

I will therefore share with you five simple keys to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling after you hear the gospel, admit, believe, and confess the truth; get baptized and added to the church.

So, after getting born again, how do you work out your own salvation with fear and trembling?

1. Prayer without ceasing:
Pray daily. Just remember to pray because your life depends on prayer. Prayer strengthen your connection with heaven (See 1 Thessalonians 5:17)

2. Fellowship:
Don’t forsake the assembling together of yourselves. Fellowship strengthens your connection with the brethren and with the body (See Hebrews 10:25)

3. Reach out:
The gospel must not end with you. You must reach out to the poor, sick, lost, naked, hungry, homeless, prisoner and the destitute. Reach out to the streets and lanes, to the highways and hedges, to the maimed and halt. We must share both the good news and the goodness of the Lord with our fellow humans. This strengthens our connection with the lost world. It is our ministry and responsibility to reach out with the love of God.

4. Walk in the way by the truth and the life:
Continue in the faith; we need to go through many tribulation to enter the kingdom. Your faith is for mountains and challenges. You must continue in the faith. Don’t give up when challenges come. Let us press on and we shall win.

5. Look for the appearing and the second coming of the Lord:
Hebrews 9:27 teaches that, “as it is appointed unto man once to die and after death judgement; so shall Christ Jesus appear unto them that look for his second coming without sin”. Jesus Christ is coming again. He is coming quickly but those who look for His appearing and second coming shall be raptured.

This is the day and the opportune time to work out your own salvation. While you go about your dreams and visions, don’t forget to keep these five truth as a catalyst to life. These five keys are catalysts and you need them to accelerate growth, dominion, and prosperity.

Till Death Do Us Part!

We need to stand and fight for more grounds. God is counting on us to stand with the men in uniform. These are the men who fight for us to enjoy the peace and safety to go to work.Originally published at highcity.org

Day 14 of 21 Days of Breaking Limits

[2 Thessalonians 3:1-5 KJV] “Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: [2] And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. [3] But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. [4] And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you. [5] And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ”.

There comes a time when the church ought to stand by the servants that God has sent to them. We must stand with the pastor loyally through the thick and thin. We must decide to labour with the man of God in his endeavours, and never stand indifferent.

No pastor can stand and succeed alone. Every servant of God needs helpers to stand with him. We need to stand and fight for more grounds. God is counting on us to stand with the men in uniform. These are the men who fight for us to enjoy the peace and safety to go to work.

Three simple ways to stand with your pastors is to;

1. Pray for him:

Pray that the word of God which they preach will have a free course with others as it had with you. There are times when the word of God does not have a free course. There comes a time when there is resistance and opposition to the word as it is being preached.

2. Do the things he commands:

We must be committed to do the things he teaches and commands, and report those who disobey on his blind side, with fear . You must do what he commands and report those who don’t.

3. Wait with him patiently to the end:

Don’t let our labour be in vain. May you stand to the end, determined to end, and won’t allow anyone to rob you of your crown in Christ. As your pastor, you are my crown and my joy.

We understand that when Ruth (the church) followed Naomi (the pastor); she was not following because of the promise of getting a husband, wealth or children; she was determined to continue with Naomi even after death had parted them. Ruth followed to belong and to stick with Naomi. We are also making a decision that come hell or high water, we will stick together. You will stick by me and I will stick by you.

I will rebuke you when you are wrong; rebuke me when I am wrong, but we will forever stick together. We will find better ways of dealing with our differences but deserting is not a thought or an option.

Prayer Points

#1. Lift your voice and let us adorn the Lord:

Let us lift the might name of the Lord on high. Let us celebrate the goodness of the Lord of the Harvest. Give God glory and show forth His goodness.

#2. Pray that the Lord Shall let His word have its free course with others as it had with us:

We command every barrier set up against the course of the word to be broken in the name of Jesus. We command every heart to be receptive to the word as it is being preached.

May the Lord touch many hearts and help them to yield to the word in the name of Jesus Christ.

#3. Lift up prayer that the Lord shall deliver our pastor from every orchestrations of wicked and unreasonable men:

We bind every accusing tongue! We silence the voice of the accuser!

May the Lord purge contempt and reproach out of his life! May he win over wickedness and false brethren!

#4. Pray that the faithful God shall establish you and keep everyone of us from evil:

May the Lord be your defense and fortress! May He be a shield unto you from the stormy blast!

God! Establish us! Give us roots in You. Help us to stand firm!

#5. Pray that the Lord shall grace us to do what our pastor has taught and commanded:

We will walk in the ways of the Lord by the truth and the life that flows from the word.

#6. Pray that the Lord shall direct our hearts into His love and into the patience of waiting for Him.

Father draw us into Your love. Give us an enduring grace and love. Help us to love and love with all that we have.

On this 14th day of 21 Days of Breaking Limits, we make a choice to stand with our pastor. We decide to both love him and fight a common enemy. Lord help us to stand by our pastor and his family.

You will be blessed as you make a decision to stand and partner with me. Stand with me and see the hand of the Lord build us together. As you stand with your pastor, may the Lord stand with you. May He be our defense and fortify us to fight for victory in the mission field!

Be blessed; I love you!

Dealing with the Devices of the Enemy

the devil does not work in vacuum, he works through carefully crafted devices. These devices are his creation, and by them, he works against ignorant brethren; but we are not ignorant of his devices.Originally published at highcity.org

Day 13 of 21 Days of Breaking Limits

[2 Corinthians 2:10‭-‬11 KJV] “To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave anything, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ; [11] Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices”.

On this 13th day of these 21 Days of Breaking Limits, we shall be dealing with devices of the enemy. It is important to understand that the devil does not work in a vacuum, he works through carefully crafted devices. These devices are his creation, and by them, he works against ignorant brethren; but we are not ignorant of his devices.

Some of these devices are;

  1. Offenses and bitterness
  2. Hexes and curses
  3. Spells and charms
  4. Lies, masquerading and disguise
  5. Fear
  6. Seduction and entrapment
  7. Accusations and misrepresentations
  8. Signs and miracles
  9. Soothsaying and divination
  10. Distraction and blindness

From today, I pray that you will not be deceived and trapped by any of these devices in the mighty name of Jesus!

Now we wage war against accusations. We condemn every tongue that rises against us in accusation and condemnation. We rebuke any person trying to misrepresent our thoughts and personality. We purge ourselves of reproach.

#8

We frustrate the tokens, and signs, and miracles, and omens of the wicked and the devil. Diviners shall be frustrated. We take charge now in the name of Jesus!

#9.

In the name of Jesus, I release light against soothsayers and diviners. I speak that by the discerning of spirits, no soothsayers can deceive me. Diviners shall be confused.

#10.

We release fire and thunder against distractions set up against us. We pray for focus. We shall press on and not be deceived.

#11

Father give us the wisdom to escape the seduction and entrapments of a strange woman or strange man. May her traps fail!

May the Lord purge strange persons out of our lives! The strange woman shall not succeed. You must win

I pray that you shall no longer be ignorant of the devices of the enemy. May the Lord help you to walk in light and revelations.

I am interested in your thoughts and questions on this message, so let’s carry on the conversation in the comments section below

Spread it Before the Lord

Our God is able to Save, fear not! Put your trust in God!Originally published at highcity.org

[2 Kings 19:14-15 KJV] “And Hezekiah received the letter of the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up into the house of the Lord , and spread it before the Lord. [15] And Hezekiah prayed before the Lord , and said, O Lord God of Israel, which dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth”.

Many years ago the king of Assyria, after conquering many nations, wrote a letter to the king of the people of God, Hezekiah. In this letter, the king of Assyria called to question the ability of God to save His people. He was so full of himself and trusted in his past conquests and argued that the God of Hezekiah was unable to save him.

[2 Kings 19:9-13 KJV] “And when he heard say of Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, Behold, he is come out to fight against thee: he sent messengers again unto Hezekiah, saying, [10] Thus shall ye speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, Let not thy God in whom thou trustest deceive thee, saying, Jerusalem shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria. [11] Behold, thou hast heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands, by destroying them utterly: and shalt thou be delivered? [12] Have the gods of the nations delivered them which my fathers have destroyed; as Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden which were in Thelasar? [13] Where is the king of Hamath, and the king of Arpad, and the king of the city of Sepharvaim, of Hena, and Ivah?”

I don’t know what is challenging God’s ability to save, but I came to announce to you that indeed, God is able to save and will save to the latter. It is time for us to do what Hezekiah did when he received the letter, the report, and the message. What did he do?

1. He read the letter:

It is important to read to understand the content of what is given to you. Hezekiah read the letter that was sent to him.

2. He went up to the house of the Lord:

When you receive that threatening report, get up and go the house of the Lord where you have always been worshipping.

3. He spread it before the Lord:

Spread it before the Lord. Bring along the report, bring the token and lay it before the Lord in prayer.

4. He prayed before the Lord and said:

He prayed aloud. He prayed and told God who he (Hezekiah) knows He (God) is. He gave God a situational report and was clear about what was going on.

[2 Kings 19:14-20 KJV] “And Hezekiah received the letter of the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up into the house of the Lord , and spread it before the Lord . [15] And Hezekiah prayed before the Lord , and said, O Lord God of Israel, which dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth. [16] Lord , bow down thine ear, and hear: open, Lord , thine eyes, and see: and hear the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent him to reproach the living God. [17] Of a truth, Lord , the kings of Assyria have destroyed the nations and their lands, [18] And have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men’s hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them. [19] Now therefore, O Lord our God, I beseech thee, save thou us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the Lord God, even thou only. [20] Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, That which thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria I have heard”.

I am not aware of what report you have received, but my God is mighty to save. If you can spread it before the Lord in this house, then God will give me a word for you. I pray that as you come up here and spread it before the Lord and pray, He will hear you and give the prophet a word for you. Nothing can swallow you! You will come out more than a conqueror!

You will conquer poverty, hardship, stress, infirmities, and any siege against your life that mocks the testimony of God in the Scriptures. May the Lord show up and prove to all that He is your God! Once you have spread it before the Lord; May He show up and defend His own! You are coming out now! Just spread it before the Lord!

Prayer Points

#1.

Shall we lift up our voices and begin to celebrate our victory over any Assyria in our lives. Lift up your voices and hands and begin to celebrate the Lord. Tell of the goodness of the Lord. Tell of His might and power to generations yet unborn. The Lord is good.

#2.

Tell God exactly what is up against you. Speak to Him about the family, the condition, the situation, the health. Spread it before the Lord now. Discuss things that are of personal concerns to you. Spread It! Talk to the Lord and allow Him to fight for you.

#3.

Pray and ask the Lord to stretch forth His hand and mighty arm to your rescue.

Father stretch forth Your hand and save us. Redeem us from the siege of darkness. Deliver us from the spirits of infirmity. Heal and restore us. Break the hold of darkness and let Your children dwell in peace.

#4.

Holy spirit, Lift up a standard against every enemy that has encamped against us. Spirit of God sweep across this city and break every siege. Lift up a standard oh God!

#5.

Father, honour Your word. Have mercy on us; do not be far from us in this day of trouble, rebuke, and affliction. Show up! oh God! and save Your heritage from shame. Let not the wicked exact upon us. Save Your own now! We have no help apart from You.

#6.

Just begin to bless the Lord and praise His mighty name. You are coming out. The Lord is with you. You are coming out. Hallelujah! We are coming out now! Nothing will stop you. Just thank God.

Our God is able to Save, fear not! Put your trust in God!

Be blessed; I love you!

Dealing with the Mixed Multitudes

When a people are one and speak a common language, whatever they decide to do progresses steadily.Originally published at highcity.org

Day 11 of 21 Days of Breaking Limits

[Exodus 12:37‭-‬38 KJV] “And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children. [38] And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle”.

Nothing limits the progress, prosperity, and the sanctification of a church or a people than a mixed multitude. When a people are one and speak a common language, whatever they decide to do progresses steadily.

When God wanted to stop the building of the tower of Babel, He came down and confused their language. When God wanted to build His kingdom, He came down and gave His workmen a common language.

Now the devil also wants to stop the building of the kingdom, so he has sown tares among us to confuse our language and vision.

The real dangers of engaging with mixed multitude is distraction from the core vision and business of the team and community. The mixed multitudes have their own agenda, and are enemies of the cross.

From Nehemiah 13, you can understand some of the effects of the mixed multitude on the church;

1. Profaning of the temple:

The mixed multitudes profane the temple. Really, the temple does not mean to them what it means to us. They desecrate it and careless, beware!

2. Intermarriage with unbelievers:

When we allow the mixed multitude to thrive, our daughters and sons end up falling in love and marry them.

3. Backsliding of the Levites and priests:

Because of the cutting of tithes. Many of the priests and Levites returned to their secular vocations because the people were not paying their tithes.

4. Profaning of the Sabbath:

The mixed multitudes profane the Sabbath and find their pleasure in it. The mixed multitude play down on our assembling together.

Prayer Points

#1. Strange Personalities;

Dear Lord, deliver me from strange personalities. Deliver me from the strange woman or man who flatters with his or her lips and words (Portiphar’s wife)

#2. Wicked and Unreasonable men:

Father deliver us from wicked and unreasonable men; Let the gospel have its free course with others as it has with us

[2 Thessalonians 3:2 KJV] “And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith”.

#3. False Bretheren;

Dear Lord, deliver us from the sleight cunningness of men who lie in wait to deceive;

[Ephesians 4:11-16 KJV] “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; [12] For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: [13] Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of th.e knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: [14] That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; [15] But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: [16] From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love”.

Deliver us from ravenous wolves that creep into the church

[Acts 20:29 KJV] “For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock”.

Deliver us from brethren who say perverse things to draw following and disciples after themselves.

[Acts 20:30 KJV] “Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them”.

Deliver me from friends and acquaintances who try to turn me from the truth and from the faith.

[Acts 13:7 KJV] “Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God”.

Deliver me from those who cause division and offenses contrary to the doctrine.

[Romans 16:17 KJV] “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them”.

Deliver me from followers and acquaintances who love the world; and often forsake me in tough times.

#4. Jealous and Envious men;

Deliver me from those who hate me for no reason; Let me not trust any man who is jealous and envious of my favour (like Cain).

#5. Satanic Messengers;

Deliver me from any messenger of Satan sent to buffet me. I speak grace and deliverance from satanic messengers. I declare a new day over my life.

Be blessed; I love you!

Taking a Step to the Anointing

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity; He is Himself, God. He is the Comforter sent to help the churchOriginally published at highcity.org

Day 10 of 21 Days of Breaking Limits

[Luke 11:13 KJV] “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?”

One person who can help us take every illegal limits off our lives is the Holy Spirit. On this 10th day of Breaking limits, we want to take one simple step to the anointing; fasting and prayer. We are praying for the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity; He is Himself, God. He is the Comforter sent to help the church.

When the Holy Spirit comes upon us, Many things begin to happen. There is so much that begin to change upon His arrival;

1. He comes to dwell with and in us to help our infirmities, and by Him, we are enabled to pray as we ought to

[Romans 8:26 KJV] “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered”.

2. He quickens our mortal bodies and makes us strong;

[Romans 8:11 KJV] “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you”.

[Acts 1:8 KJV] “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth”.

3. He teaches and leads us into all truth (See Acts 13:1-5)

4. He lifts a standard against the enemy that rises against us;

[Isaiah 59:19 KJV] “So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him”.

5. He brings fruitfulness and increase

6. He flows through us as rivers of living waters to heal our lives;

[John 7:37-39 KJV] “In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. [38] He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. [39] (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given ; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)”

7. He refreshes and fills us with fresh fire when we run to him in fear;

[Acts 4:24,31 KJV] “And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is: [31] And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness”.

Prayer Points;

#1. In-filling and Fresh Baptism;

Dear Father, You told us that You give the Holy Spirit to those who ask. Father we stand here and desire only one thing, that You give us the Holy Spirit. Father, anoint us with power and with the Spirit. Fill us with Yourself. We don’t need anything; We want you. This is Your house, we welcome You. Come and live in us and do Your work.

Come and dwell in us by Your Spirit. We are Your body on earth and Your dwelling place. We are trusting You to fill us with Your Holy Spirit and work through us.

Our prayer today is that we want the in-filling and fresh baptism of power. Acts 10:38 teaches that, “God anointed Jesus Christ of Nazareth and he went about doing good”. The Holy Spirit is the most important person on earth to day; and we need Him for effective function.

#2. Quickening Power;

Oh God! quicken our mortal bodies and make us strong to serve You. Heal our mortal bodies! Make us quick and strong, and enable us to walk in health and newness.

Dear God, make us strong! You said that we shall recieve power after that the Holy Spirit comes upon us. Let your rain come upon us once more. Give us power and let us walk in power. Dear God, make us strong. Give us power. We need Your power now more than before; please give us power (See Acts 1:8)

#3. Direction of the Spirit;

Holy Spirit, visit us now as You did in the early church. Give us direction for the coming days. We don’t know what we have to do, which way to take, and when to do what. So lead us! We yield to You, lead us!

Show us where to go, who should go, and when to go. Speak to us as we wait on You. (See Acts 13:1-5)

#4. Great Geace;

Fresh fire! let it fall! Oh God, fill us now! Fill and ordain us with great grace for greater works – the works of Christ. Holy Spirit, come upon, into and with us. Holy Spirit fall afresh on us (See Acts 4:23)

#5. Victory on the Mission Field;

We pray that the Holy Spirit will come and lift a standard against the enemy.

Give us access to the mission field. Resist the enemy and lead us to greener pastures. Lord! Let Your Spirit lift a standard against the enemy (See Isaiah 59:19)

#6. Utterance

Dear Holy Spirit, give us utterance! Help us to speak and pray and sing as we ought to. Help our infirmities and help us to pray aright. Flow through us as a river and heal our lives. Heal us now. Heal our lives and let us win. Flow through us into the world as a river of life.

#7. Empowerment

Father, empower and make us fruitful. You said “our lands will remain a wilderness until the spirit be poured.” Pour Your Spirit upon us one more time. We need You, we need power! Touch and heal us again!

I pray that today will mark the beginning of a great anointing on our lives!

Be blessed; I love you!
