Don’t join the Rat-race!

‭Matthew 6:31-34 KJV‬ — Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? [32] (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

[33] But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. [34] Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

We know that human needs are insatiable but the resources to meet these needs are scarce. There is therefore a scramble for things. Life on this earth has become a rat-race as a result. Many people are caught up in the fiercely competitive struggle for wealth, power, and resources. This is just crazy, it is a rat-race.

Our Lord Jesus Christ however counsels us that, instead of getting caught up in the crazy struggle for more wealth and greater power; pause and seek the kingdom and righteousness of God. When you make the choice to seek the kingdom and righteousness of God, all the things the world is seeking shall be added unto you.

It’s a choice we must make. Everyone must make that choice; you may choose to be part of the rat-race or you will seek the kingdom and righteousness of God. I have made a choice.

Stay blessed
