Start your day right!

‭Psalm 149:5-9 KJV‬ — Let the saints be joyful in glory: Let them sing aloud upon their beds. [6] Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a twoedged sword in their hand; [7] To execute vengeance upon the heathen, And punishments upon the people;

[8] To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron; [9] To execute upon them the judgment written: This honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.

More often than not, the day does not go right because many of us don’t start the day right. Your mornings set the tone for the day; we must learn to start the day right.

Learn to start your day with Jesus and coffee

You need Jesus to show you the way and coffee to keep you awake. The drowsy man or drunk shall be clothed with rags

In this teaching we understand that  highly effective Christians start their day with meditation and worship. In the scriptures above we are instructed to do the same for many reasons. We have been instructed to take hold of a two edged sword and sing aloud upon our beds. The Psalmist reveals that those who sing joyfully and aloud upon their beds are;

  • Equipped with tools to EXECUTE VENGEANCE upon the people and Punishment on the nations.
  • Prepared to BIND THEIR KINGS with chains and their NOBLES WITH FETTERS OF IRON.  Being thankful and worshipping every morning prepares you for the battle against evil kings and nobles.
  • Empowered to execute upon the heathen the JUDGMENT WRITTEN. We have learnt that the dark places of this earth are full of habitations of cruelty; hence the need to be ready to punish every disobedience.

One of the effective ways to be ready and equipped to execute vengeance is to learn to take hold of a two edged sword, the sword of the spirit, and to sing aloud upon your bed. Worship and thanksgiving are important in all forms of spiritual warfare.

I pray for you that you will escape all the wickedness and cruelty that is in this world. May you never be prey for the heathen nor the wicked. Because you have mediated on the word, you will be like a tree planted by the side of a river when to avoid the seat of the scornful nor the way of sinners. Because you have meditated on the word, you shall make your way prosperous and have good success when you stay in the word. You will win today and stay blessed

Amen
