FOUR STEPS to advance the kingdom,  even in the face of opposition

‭Nehemiah 2:19-20 KJV‬ — But when Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, and Geshem the Arabian, heard it, they laughed us to scorn, and despised us, and said, What is this thing that ye do? will ye rebel against the king? [20] Then answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build: but ye have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem.

I believe that you understand that we are lively stones called to a living stone and are built into a spiritual house to show forth the praises of God and to offer spiritual sacrifices. Church growth is possible and our churches must see growth.

We must see souls added to our church and new attendees walk in week after week. This is the time to arise and build. He (Jesus Christ) promised to build His church and the gates of hell cannot prevail against it.

There are Four simple things you can do to be part of the agenda to grow the church. You can actually be part of God’s agenda for the church. Church growth is possible.

Attend

Hebrews 10:25 exhort us not to forsake the gathering together of ourselves. You must resolve to attend every church service. You ought to strive to make it to the meetings. I understand that there may be so many other things that may try to take your time but you can make time to fellowship with other brethren.

Pray/Intercede

The second simple thing you can do is to intercede for the body of Christ, pray for your local church, pray for the community, and pray for your pastor. 1 Timothy 2:1-4, exhort that we should first of all pray for all men and people in authority. In 1 Thessalonians, Apostle Paul asks that we pray for the missionary teams out there. For instance, if you are “HighCity”, that city, set on a Hill to shine, then pray for the church and pray for your pastor.

Invite

If you are “HighCity”, then invite people to Christ and to Church. Overlook their excuses and complaints and invite people to church. This should be a consistent part of what you do daily. This is how the body can grow.

Give

Finally, give your time, skills, and resources to serve the church. God is committed to us. Just attend, pray, invite, and give to Christ and to the church, and you will see the portals of blessings open unto you.

I pray that you will receive grace and have a revived passion to reach the lost, tell them the gospel of life.

Stay blessed
