Judge all prophecies

1 Thessalonians 5:20-22 KJV‬
[20] Despise not prophesyings. [21] Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. [22] Abstain from all appearance of evil.

The message today is straightforward and simple: don’t despise prophesyings but judge all prophecies. This is simply because

  1. IT IS WHAT GOD HAVE COMMANDED US TO DO. The scriptures command that prophets should speak two or three and the rest should judge. You must do due diligence to see whether the prophecy will strengthen your walk with God; aligns with scriptures; and directs your path towards God.
  2. SOME PROPHETS SPEAK PRESUMPTUOUSLY AND LIE IN THE NAME OF GOD: Some prophets just prophesy for the wage. They prophesy to swindle you and God have not sent them.
  3. WE KNOW IN PART AND PROPHESY IN PART. There is no single prophet on earth that knows everything. No prophet has total knowledge; even the most seasoned prophet can miss it.
  4. YOU HAVE THE PRIVILEGE TO APPEAL BAD OUTCOMES IN THE COURT OF HEAVEN. Nineveh appealed the verdict after Jonah prophesied their doom. They pleaded with God with fasting and repentance and God spared them. Hezekiah also pleaded with God and he added 15years to him. Prove all things and hold fast to that which is good.

I pray that the Lord shall give you the spirit of discernment to prove all things.

I love you
